    Hi.. I saw this video when I was doing research prior to purchasing. When mine was delivered, it had the same stiff belt magazine. Having watched many reviews, I couldn't remember which video had info that seemed to solve the issue. After watching a bunch, finally found yours again. Thanks for a well presented informational video.

      Glad to hear you found the video useful. I hope you enjoy the Glock too. With a bit of silicon oil from time to time mine is still a great gun to shoot despite conflicting anecdotes from other owners. I’m really pleased with mine. Thanks for watching.

    Thank you for your video. I trusted Umarex, and yesterday without any research I bought this gun in a shop. I regretted it a moment after I unpacked at home. This pistol is a failure, at least mine. Firstly, there is no room for a finger, the trigger is pushed so forward far and the safety fin is sharp and often gets stuck on the trigger almost injuring the finger. The trigger works very very hard. The trigger always works in double action, needs haf inch of travel, regardless of whether you manually reload or not. Yes, you can use the trigger after partial relase, after shoot/ reset, in single action mode, but then pistol does not rewind the magazine and does not feed the new pellets into the barrel, it gives then a blank shot. When the magazine is empty, the slide does not remain open. A threaded barrel with such a trigger will not improve accuracy at all! The first two or three shots from the new CO2 cartridge are really very strong, even over 150 m/s (490ft/s), then they drop to 90 m/s and and finally after 12 shots pelets leave barrel at about 60 m/s (197ft/s) .Who designed it and why? Waste of time and money. Shame on Umarex.

    It behaves just like my Sig X-Five so I put decent amount of Silicone and turned the belt for about 3-5 minutes and what a nice difference,no jamming,shifts smoothly and it did lighten the trigger..Silicone lube is The King and gets you out of trouble 😈…

    Another insightful video and very helpful to boot. I recently purchased this pistol and the trigger was almost too stiff to pull. Following your advice I've spent some time oiling and rotating the chain mag and it works a treat now. So much so that I've done the same with my Walther PPQ M2, the performance of which is also much improved.

      @@airgunreplicas77 It’s impressive. A bit of a beast, very chunky in the hand. It’s obvious you’re dealing with a top-tier product. And to be fair, the mag was much better ‘out of the box’ than the Glock. I’ve got a few Walthers, and if I’m honest my favourite is the CP99 Compact, but I love that compressed, tactical aesthetic (the Glock 19X and 3.8” Springfield XDM are incredible). In contrast the PPQ M2 feels a bit indulgent, but you can’t argue with that heft and quality.

    Stay with the Diabolo Basic 17.0 gr .177 pellets (flat nose). The domed pellets tend to jam and one can unknowingly damage (crack) the feed belt as well as weaken belt advance mechanism of the pistol. Re: The Slide - Yes, it's just you. The slide does lock back.

  • @alexanderkorthus4985
    @alexanderkorthus4985 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    It is important to point out that the slide release does not operate automatically after the last shot BUT you can lock trübseligem back with it manually. You just have to press a bit harder and then it „clicks“. Over time it gets easier.

      Mine is the same as the one in the video. It does not lock back manually. Checked with the retailer and they say that on some of the guns the “notch” is not big enough to allow it to lock. I have seen some videos where it does, others where it doesn’t 🤔

    I really appreciate your video. You actually discuss in full the only big problem with this Glock. The 12 pound trigger pull. I did lubricate the belt by removing the steel plate covering the innards. It didnt seem to make much difference but after watching your video I will try it again. I like the Glock, but the trigger pull is a killer for me. One other thing. Its odd how the markings on the frame and barrel are different. I guess that goes from country to country. In Canada there is no 4,5 mm mark on the barrel. Also the other markings are different with some info numbers missing. No 9,9mm on mine. The other thing is the safety slide. It takes a plastic tool to force it off and on. You sure cant do it in the field without that tool.

    I have the exact same mag in an Umarex Walther PPQ. Nice quality build but has the same problems you have mentioned with the mag. My observation is that both sides of the belt, once inside the pistol, will drag on the walls of the channel that the mag sits in, preventing it from properly cycling. Hope this helps anyone who has one of these mags, either Walther or Glock.

I have the Romeo 0 on the 43 caliber version of this Glock 17, GEN 5 and the thing that I like about the Romeo 0 and the single reason I selected it was that it's got the shake week on and off

      The rattle of the slide is really the worst and it doesn't feel crunchy at all when you rack it. The rattle part is fixable however. Otherwise the gun is pretty good. The Gen4 design with Gen5 internals would have been great, but for now we have to choose between a great replica Gen4 that suffers from low shots and a Gen5 with that shoots well with bad haptic.

      That would be genius! I'll have to look around for those other belts. The white plastic belt in my 21-month-backordered PyramydAir-delivered Gen 5 is very, very stiff (gets better after sitting in warm water but who has time for that!) and also wound *extremely* tight around the 2 pinwheels inside the magazine -- so much so that the backward tilt of the belt toward the top end of the magazine (I think) restricts the motion of the pinwheels around the middle pin (?) they're supposed to rotate around, no matter how much silicone oil is slathered on. I suspect the best solution is another type of belt.

    It's made like the sig.p320 the fame

    • @airgunreplicas77
      @airgunreplicas77  ปีที่แล้ว

      The p320 mag is similar, in that it is belt fed also, but this is a slightly different system with a 'rubber' belt, rather than the hard plastic one used in the Sig p320, X5 and M17.

    Pode me informar se o magazine da G4 serve na G5?

    • @airgunreplicas77
      @airgunreplicas77  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry if I’ve misunderstood but I’m struggling to translate this. I think you’re asking if the magazine from the Gen 4 will fit this Gen 5. The answer is ‘no’. This Gen 5 uses a really specific type of magazine so neither the ‘Gen 4 bb’ or ‘Gen 4 dual ammo’ magazines would fit. I hope that helps to answer your question. Thanks for watching!

    This review is way too long. For a 30+ minute production it should contain shooting and spec info as well.
    You should do a rehearsal, take notes and then repeat. It's not just you - most of these gun reviews need to heed the same advise.

    Do not buy this. I own it and magazine is crap and belt broke right of after firing about 100 rounds. There is a better gen 5 modell with a spring loaded magazine its better in all ways.

    Does the slide lock back after the last shot

    • @airgunreplicas77
      @airgunreplicas77  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sadly not. Due to the belt fed mag and the way the gun operates, there’s no way for the slide to ‘know’ that the mag is empty. It’s the same for all pellet guns with rotary or belt fed mags.
