So thank you for putting in the huge amount of time to explain this reasonably understandable process in such incredible super extreme detail, and i now know what an air spring is and what it does and how to service it. Have been showing this video Today to 2 more friends of mine and we all feel now confident doing this level of servis ourselves. Thank you ! You represent the role model of how guide videos should be done. When you advise to clean inside of guffers/main bushing, you also explain why. When you mention negative chamber, you expain what it is and what it does. Amazing and best ever !
Thanks a ton! I wanted to make a full-on video guide rather than just a 5 minutes video without showing how to actually do the things like every other video out there haha.

Omg, legend. Actually full detail and sharing all the nuances and things to look for. Awesome. I wish there was more content like this on TH-cam... Thank you!!!
From a career mechanic (motorcycle)......Great job of going in depth for all your processes and shop tricks. Helpful hint.....when you are dealing with a small part that is likely to become a "f**k spring" (small non-magnetic part that will likely find the largest and most immobile thing in your shop to roll under) put soft rags on the floor and drape another one loosely over the work prior to the point at which the part is likely to release.
Such a great tutorial. Just got done replacing the air spring on my FOX 34 to upgrade it from 130 to 140mm and replacing the seals/servicing the lowers while I was at it. Was using the service guides on the Fox website but this video filled in all of the detailed info and tips, you are awesome! I didn't have a mini-blind adjuster to use for cleaning the lowers so I picked up a large wooden dowel and drilled a big hole in one end. Was then able to just thread a shop rag through the hole and wrap it around the dowel for the cleaning. Thanks again!

Great video for Fox fork servicing. The grease on the upper seals as well as removing excess on grease on the Air Spring make a huge difference to how responsive a fork can be. Really informative tutorial. I followed faithfully and things went well, but when you didn’t mention putting the new o-ring on the air side stanchion, I had to disassemble and drain again in order to remedy. Not a big deal really. Got some extra practice :) I used to shred in B’ham 97-2000!
Top quality video mate. I found it after just finishing a first attempt lower service on my Fox 36. Oh well, next time I will take the air spring out as mine shot back into the upper stanchion. 🤛🏻💥
Just did my 2019 fox36 grip2 today, after watching this video again this morning before pulling it down. My air spring had the same massive amount of grease on it, now it feels amazing. no doubt i'll be doing some adjustments to my rebound and compression to fix the faults i would have tuned out before.

@@TheLostCo thnx for this really helpful video! would it be possible to edit the air chamber 3cc oil with some kind of text or something? i think it would help people like me. cheers and thnx again!
@@TheLostCo This really needs adding in or making clear some how, this cost me hours of confusion!
This video sure came in handy today while swapping a FIT4 for a GRIP2 in my Float 34 fork! Thanks Lost Co!!!
Can you make a new video of how to service the fox x2 shox . fluat and coil one . thank you
Thanks for your ability to clearly explain this process. You are so detail oriented and precise. Love it. I’ll be watching more of your tutorials for sure.
Still the best video out there on fork maintenance... GREAT JOB
Outstanding communication and instructional technique and skills. You are far too good at this to waste your time on TH-cam. Any corporation would pay you 6 figures to produce vids for their internal communications. If you wanted to do that... hopefully you just keep making these for my Mt Bike!
the best video I've ever watched! I've done my oil service on my Fox forks many times but still learned a bunch - thank you!!
Very comprehensive tutorial, I plan to do a full service and add a GRIP on my Fox 34 Float. Thanks!
This video is much better than everything, that I saw till this moment for that kind of service. Even better, than FOX original videos - they are too poor. Great!
Thanks, dude!
Now, waiting for the X2(2019) service. ;)
Thanks a ton!! I'm sure a Float X2 service video will be up before Spring!
The fork seal driver tool made my day. WOW Nice...
A float shock air can service next please! Great video. Beyond comprehensive and clear.
This is a really useful video. I just broke my flimsy FIT cartridge whilst doing a service so can't wait to get my GRIP cartridge in. Thank you.
Defently the best video for servicing these forks. You saved my life 😄.
Husqvarna Chainsaws, everything else is a compromise. TY for the very thorough and comprehensive video.
Если бы это было возможно, я бы ставил лайк каждый раз, когда возвращаюсь к этому замечательному руководству. Спасибо!
The best video i have seen on the subject. Answers all the questions anyone could have. Brilliant!!
Man, getting those old seals out of it was scary AF. Thank you for this video I managed to do it!
Haha good job!! Once you do it once everything is twice as easy the second time!!
3 yr old video and still exactly what I need
This is brilliant. Plenty of detail & excellent production value. Thanks mate!
This are the best service videos I've seen. Please keep the coming!
This is by far the best servicing video ever!
Thanks a ton!!!
Just finished watched this great video at 4am in Sao Paulo , Brazil waiting for my next flight.. I know where I am bringing my fork for my service next year
Man, I'm sooo glad I could make an airport wait a little interesting! I look forward to hearing from you for your next fork service!!
Fantastic video and pleasant personality. Thank you for helping this old guy learn the best way to service Fox 36 Grip 2 forks. Thanks so much
The mini-blind rod idea is genius💡
Great tutorial I'm even more convinced to leave this to professionals like yourself 😁😁
Yup! It was long. But it was worth it. Great job of step by step and making the process clear. Kudo's bro!
I used some bottle caps as seal drivers and it was such a pain, those drivers are definitely nice
Man, this was awesome! One of the best fork tutorials I have ever seen.... Love your channel.
Thanks!!!
Oh my god the Simpsons scene. Also, just a fantastic video. Definitely served as a great reminder as I'm about to do this for the first time in a few years. Thanks!
You definitely know your stuff, one of THE BEST service videos,I would certainly take my forks to you
Thanks for sharing. I am impressed by your professionalism and charisma! Such a nice video to watch and learn!
This is the best video I’ve ever seen on you tube. I just happen to be getting a grip 2 damper for Christmas so this is perfect timing!
Sweet enjoy it man!!
I have a 2016 Focus Raven max SL with Fox 32 fit-4 and had it serviced about 6 months ago, so much smoother now, I think it was about $60.00 including labor and seals, well worth it
Thanks for posting this video it was exactly what I was looking for. I picked up a grip2 damper and some accessories at your site and followed your video during the install.
I bet that bucket stihl works
Best bucket in town!
@@TheLostCo can you put the grip 2 in a talas fork?
Just did my 2019 fox36 grip2 today, after watching this video again this morning before pulling it down. My air spring had the same massive amount of grease on it, now it feels amazing. no doubt i'll be doing some adjustments to my rebound and compression to fix the faults i would have tuned out before.
I’m doing mine this weekend?
Any tips for a smooth procedure ?
Did you put the 3cc in top of air chamber ok?
Thanks
Best fork service video yet!
Thanks for the Vid top job. Could you use a pressure washer on the lowers to clean the inside to remove all the crap that sits on the bottom?
