Hey Charlise, great work with 400D! I do like the halation in several of the images. And I thought that the sun flare actually added a nice unintentional element to your photo. And how magical that you got to photograph that horse!
Thank you so much for the encouragement! 😊 Omg when we saw the horses on the side of the road I freaked out!! I rushed out of the car with my camera with only 2 shots left on the roll, and prayed to god that the horse wouldn't attack me as I got pretty close to it. They are so majestic!! 🐴
Haha thank you so much!! I enjoy my Hasselblad but I'm realizing how much attention it gets when I use it (especially when I travel!) I might be a great target for robbery or theft 😅
Hey! The panoramic pictures indeed are some of the best I have seen. How did you you meter for all your shots in this video? The cameras' meters or an external meter? Especially to get properly exposed skies. I would love to know since I almost always end up with over exposed skies in my pictures. Cheers!
Thank you so much 😊 Haha I’m one of those lazy shooters where if there’s a meter in my camera I use it. For all the pano shots that you saw in the vid I used the tx1’s internal meter like a spot meter. I point the camera towards the sky then point to the dark areas in the scene to figure out how much the difference in exposure is. Of course it’s not super precise but I’ve done it enough to kind of know how to adjust my settings to what I want. Shooting this way is not always perfect, so I shoot a few shots of the same scene in different exposures combinations. If you want to be precise you should get a spot meter! Do the same thing, point towards the sky, get your exposure reading, then point towards the darkest area in the scene. Figure out if you want to expose for the sky or make it a stop or two brighter, then you adjust your settings accordingly. Hopefully this kinda makes sense? Try it out and see what happens! Most importantly, always have fun shooting 🤗
Very nice video, as always. Heightened camera porn, two classics, and a sobering public health message: always use a hood. The film stock looks nice, under certain circumstances. I just got my new M6. I shall caress it in private, and use a hood.
Hahaha you know they always taught us to use protection back in our health classes 😆 You got the new m6?? I'm sure you have the classic ones. What prompted the purchase?? Also, I don't think people would mind if you caressed it in public. You might cause some jealousy tho 😜
@NoctiGirl I try not to instill camera envy in others ... I do have a classic M6, but the new one comes with an improved light meter and a fulsome three years' warranty. I shall caress it discreetly in public, knowing that there's brass below the luxurious black paint, knowingly lacquered by masterful Germans.
Hahahhaa I knew it!! You couldn’t resist the black paint sexiness 😆 My MP is also black paint, but since I like to keep my gear in pristine condition, I hope I never see the brass underneath 😝
Great video! I love the photo at the 3:26 mark. BTW, that's a bad ass Hasselblad 500CM Gold camera you have!
Thank you so much!
I love my 30th anniversary edition 500CM 😍 But I always need to be extra careful when I shoot it... 😅
Agreed, beautiful 500cm. I shoot with a 501cm.
Thanks! The 501cm is awesome too!
@@NoctiGirl But NOT as GORGEOUS as your 30th anniversary. 👍🏼👍🏼
Thanks 😁
Can’t wait to get my 400D in 4x5 😍😍😍

@NoctiGirl I shall try to be strong, and treat it like a first born. Coddled in leather and soundly strapped....
