My personal favorite is Bird That Carries You Over A Disproportionately Small Gap
Bergentrückung is actually a sound effect/cutscene theme because it's quite literally a transition into Asgore's battle.
I'd say it's more of a character theme, as Asgore's leitmotif didn't appear anywhere previously.

For me, at least, it's *WAY* too overused, now, yet again, I am arguing with the wall, but like, when I was watching this video, I heard tunes I have never seen in the original tracks, because (first low attention span but second) sans's songs overpopulated the intire fandom, and, I'm about to commit an atrocity here, megalovania is an a tier
To be honest, I love Megalovania, but I won't put it in masterpiece personnally, but in S+
I think an undertale bullet pattern tierlist would be cool because enemies are kinda hard to rank imo I think just ranking what bullet patterns are the coolest would be really cool to see

22:00 Your Best Nightmare will always be my FAVORITE of the Undertale OST for this reason specifically, the unexpected DROP, it sounds so different BUT IN A GOOD WAY! goes unbelievably hard in my opinion.

I was especially excited when I saw this in my recommended and was even happier when you ranked Before the Story. Before the Story and Undertale are my two favorite tracks in both Undertale and Deltarune, they just... bring me back. The Undertale soundtrack got me through some pretty tough times in life as well, so seeing you rank them ABOSLUTELY CORRECTLY was amazing!

Im not from a English speaking country and I had a friend how was interested in the game but couldn't fully understand it because he wasn't good at speaking nor understanding English
And ever time he read "NGAHH" he used to pronounce it with a space between n and g and also with a really hard g making it sound like the English n word
After I told him he started pronounce it but spelling each letter separately
Tldr: non English speaking friend though "NGAHH" was pronounce like the n word

something i really like about Finale is that towards the end, some notes get these really quick and erratic 8th and 16th note variations on what were single notes earlier in the song, but it never actually breaks the rhythm or progression in any meaningful way which always feels to me like a chaotic force trying to reassert control but failing to escape the steady 4/4 rhythm, and i think that just plays so perfectly with what's happening in that moment whether it's intentional or not

I wanted to comment on a few songs I really love and why,
Home has this feeling of somberness, like someone who isn't going to cry, but maybe should, especially with the long pauses, or like a parent who cried but doesn't want their child to know.
Home with music box has a totally different mood even though its basically the same, its the calm and the hope, the childhood and everything. I love it and how it relates to the "home" theme
Tracks like Enemy Approaching and Ruins are great! but taken a step back for me personally (to listen to) because of how the track is used a lot, but still great music.
You are so right about Heartache, its underrated as hell
Uwa so holiday makes me feel like I made it home, like whatever happened today, I know I'm safe with my family kinda feel
Undyne is a great track that includes that "rushing wind" feel I love a lot and feel is Undyne's symbol, it also does a great job at saying "YOU SHOULD LOOK OUT FOR THIS PERSON"
Something I never noticed about Waterfall is that, in the mid/end of the song, there's a feel that I can only describe as footfalls
Alphys has one of my least favorite A sections but one of my favorite B sections and C sections
Lots of the later songs, Core, Stronger Monsters, Another Medium, Bring It In Guys, etc. are simply amazing, great sounds, lead-ins, etc etc.

Last Episode! is genuinely my favourite Undertale track, and it's an 8 second sound effect. I just adore it, the anticipation and sheer drama in those chords is insane.
Dude honestly I’m glad I found someone else who sees another medium as a brilliant track, the part where it just spaces out and goes dramatic really puts you on edge in the game, but when listening casually has an almost determined like sound.
Watching you rank _Long Elevator_ over _Ooo_ fills me with determination.

I’m not sure if Shayy’s shown musical knowledge before and I just missed it but as someone who does music myself it makes me so happy seeing him make comments on things like how Spear Of Justice increasing pitch keeps energy flowing, along with random fun facts like that Mad Dummy one (which I never noticed before). Makes the tierlist much more engaging :D

I feel like if you just listen to it normally it'd be between Top S+ and Masterpiece, but the fact you listen to it after having to endure 2+ minutes of a distorted "your best friend" and actually feeling like the tide has turned is what makes it a true Masterpiece

Also, it would be interesting to compare how fitting each song is (though you already kinda did that): for example, STMPWYFS is a great track, but it doesn't fit Sans's character at all; whereas Tem Shop is one of the least good tracks in the game (and maybe one of the few that could justify a C-tier, although listening to it brought me to tears because it reminded me of how much I want Temmie to go to coolleg, anyway I'm getting sidetracked) but it's perfect for the context in which it's playing.
Also also, CORE and Spear of Justice in S+? You are so right
Actually the song is meant for sans (specifically non-Geno) because it’s placement is by the judgement hall during neutral/pacifist

Hopes and Dreams is over the top, just like Asriel's fight; Spear of Justice is heroic just like Undyne; but Sans is lazy and pretty chill about everything other than geno, yet his song is one of the most fast-paced ones. That's what I mean by "it doesn't fit Sans's character". But, yes, its placement means that it's probably here to make people believe they'll fight Sans in neutral
