the problem with people who think calisthenics dont work is that they think the only calisthenics exercises are the pushups and pullups
I don't think that's true, many people know that there are more other movements then push up and pull ups
i said people who think calisthenics doesnt work@@waynemackerness5785
Even with just push ups and pull ups, to a degree that is all you really need. Look at the new york calisthenics scene, those dudes are insane
Pullups and dips bro. You'd be amazed.
Try doing slower and controled reps , it may help being harder
Everything is 2-3 times harder on a set of rings. You can also isolate muscles fairly easily. It becomes easy to increment difficulty as the straps are labeled with increments. The instability of the rings forces you to use more stabilizing muscles which leads to a larger stimulus. The real advantage of the gym is for leg exercises imo
Weighted push-ups beats bench press! For extra range of motion and difficulty you can elevate you legs and use paralletes wear a 40lb weight vest and you'll make gains
+use rings
i mean , not really .
I quit the gym and started cali . And i can say with certainty that bench press gives an equal or even better range of motion than the standard chest to ground pushup .
See , you arch your back in a bench press , which basically stretches the fuck out of your pecs in the bottom position. As for pushups , i dont feel like i get the same feel that i did when i used to bench .
Also weighted pushups can only be safe until a certain level . Like most people would feel really unstable keeping two plates on their back . Ive tried a single plate and the olate slides down your back , or it shifts to the side , even when you wear a bag and adds weights to it .
@@parth7300use weighted vest. I do pull ups with +40kg weight vest and gains are insane.
Calisthenics work once you stop half repping, bouncing, doing the easiest variation, and being less than 160.
I love the calisthenics parcs spread accross all over Caracas and even the rest of Venezuela.
I’m gonna start combining weights and callisthenics in my workouts So I can target muscles and get the benefits of callisthenics at the same time
Yessir 👊🏻
I opine calisthenics is equally good as gym. Calisthenics is versatile. There are other types as well like weighted calisthenics , endurance training, dynamic and statics. So you can take components from each one to build your dream physique and train for cool skills like handstand pushups, planche. to conclude calisthenics will improve your weightlifting but weight lifting will not improve your calisthenics.
Bro you speak so well!
Thank you man 👍🏻
I can do 40 pushups but i can do half if i squeeze hard on the top. It makes exercises so much harder.
Lovely video Joe and subbed ✊💯
Jack from The Netherlands 🤟
Cheers bro 👍🏻

@@joeclementsMy pleasure Joe and keep those vlogs and videos coming 😃Hope you don't mind my playlists because they're all about loud 💨💨💨
Made them just to have a laugh though😁
Nothing more, nothing less 🤭
Great video!
I started doing bodyweight training 2 months ago and for almost a month now stuck on 10 pull-ups, I always train to failure and keep perfect form. how can I increase my reps?
Do a max set of pull-ups and then add some negatives or scapula retractions. You could also try switching up your grip for a bit and then go back to normal pull-ups. Keep it up G 👍🏻
My max is 8-9 pull ups, great job mate! ,personally, i moved on to Pull ups/chin ups but with knees in front of me (or completely in L sit if possible) , it enhance the difficulty ALOT by stretching the lats to a weaker position, the more I improve my strenghts ,sets & reps to this exercice, the better I get in regular pull ups, and this at any grip; you really gotta try this ! ;)
backpack with rocks. after a month u will feel super light when doing bodyweight only pull ups. This is how i got my first muscle up. Also for the love of God don't do half reps. Full lock out at the bottom because thats where the explosiveness comes from.
If you train always to failure, that's a problem. You might not get the rest needed to grow. For more strength you increase weights, following a pyramid cycle program. For example +10kg , then +15-20, then back to bodyweight. One set and training every other day are enough, less is more.
@@kotsios555what is pyramid cycle program?
The fastest way to build muscle in your situation is to bulk people that dont get results in the gym are not training right and they are not consistent.
Or just lack sufficient nutritions or sleep
Yo bro would u like and editor?
Use bands for weighted pushups
great video m8
Thank man 💪🏻
calistenics isnt about volume man thats crossfit. aim for perfect control of the movement and the musles that what it is about. who cares you can do 40 push up if your form isnt perfect.
cool content we have a social media platfrom where you get payde for posting in token no cap would be happy to have you onboard
I never go in GYM
All my Gains is from Calisthenics ⚡
That's why you have no gains lmao.
@@Trunk_Arms bro read again ~ are you uneducated or " You know how to read ?
Epic video Joe. How can I get in touch?

Solution: just combine calisthenics and weightlifting
Any expertises we can do to get our backs big without equipment?
Pull-up (all grips) and Australian rows
@@joeclements sadly, those require a bar that I don’t have 😥I would love to be able to do them
@@naturelife7536you can do rows hanging under a table mate
Good video but sorry bro, you don't look like you lift, you are not jacked. not hate, it's just what it is
I've never done strength training for a day in my life and I've always had a kind of a muscular body.
Now I'm 37 and I've decided to start working out. I've done about 3 month of weights training combined with different variations of pushups and I'm at least 2 times bigger than this guy but then again I'm like 90 kg....
Genetic God's have blessed me.
Add weight to calisthenics
I actually have to disagree with you bro but you can build muscle with calisthenics of you include drop sets here's an example
dips 7x20
pike push ups 6x20
decline push ups 6x17
push ups 6x20
triceps push ups 5x max
pull :
advanced tuck front lever pull 5x8
advanced tuck front lever raise 5x8
pullups 5x14
hollow body chin up 5x10
arch chin up 5x8
inverted rows 8x20
legs
pistol squat 50 reps ( per leg)
usually 10x5
assisted sissy squat 10x15
reverse nordic 6x9
bodyweight hamstring curl 5x20
glute bridge 5x25
calf raises 7x40
tibialis raises 7x20
and that's an example of bodyweight drop sets and when you get to failure you're muscles will grow
whats your alternative for dips

Calisthenics athletes are low body fat, which makes them defined
And they also have low muscle mass 😄.
@@Trunk_Arms you don't need to have that much muscle.
@@Trunk_Arms A lot of the calisthenics athletes have quite a lot of muscle mass, but that's mostly the more advanced and heavier athletes that aren't 5'1. Weight training is definitely more effective at building muscle mass though
