Really good to see someone hot fitting a guard the traditional way. A superior fit up and no gaps guaranteed. Beautiful work as always. Thanks for the time and effort you put into creating content for us :)
Whereas I like learning the process, the amount of very expensive, and hard to find, tools and equipment that you have really just takes the fun out of it...
Subscribed! And those freehand bevels are just phenomenal. Love the forged finish where you left it. Everything seems perfect.. the handle, the pommel, the proportions... top notch job. .superb. big fan. Thanks for sharing
Friend!!! I am amazed at your sight !!! How can you press the shape of a piece of iron with one hammer so precise that you only have to modify it a little and that's it !!! God awarded talent !!! Health and prosperity to you and your loved ones !!!
19:37 or, how I almost lost a finger in shop class. Was grinding a ring on a grinder with a heavey steel guard. Ring went out of my hands, got chewed through the back of the wheel and guard and shot out the top right into the joint where my thumb meets my hand. Got a lovely scar and some arthritis from the incedent but nothing else. Could have been a lot worse if it hit a different spot.
Thank you Jon! Yes they are indeed a it a bit of a challenge since the whole handle almost has be treated as one with the transitions. Found myself working on the guard then handle to pommel etc. Jumping from piece to piece with no structure. Learned bunches though.
Nice job! Question. For a blade that substantial isn't the tang quite fragile? And without epoxy what holds the handle tight and keeps pommel from backing off?
Thats beautiful, but I have a question. Why do the screw-on pommel instead of a peened pommel? I feel like over enough time, that screw will certainly loosen...
Nah cuz he’s about average at forging and has to use power tools definitely not gonna be convenient although I do admit he does have lovely craftsman’s ship as many people do not have the attention span to spend that long on a dagger
The result is awesome ! Thanks for sharing that ! Tell me, how about forging longer blades ? Like a sword ? :D Maybe you will need a bigger charcoal forge. It could be a good video for people who want to start forging. Greetings from France !
Thumb up for the video! Great look at your technique and skill. What is the deal with the raw forge marks in the finished piece? I realize it's intentional but to what purpose?
I love how it still has the forged look left into all the parts. Great looking dagger.
Bro, I wish I had a forge. I’d just spend all day forging stuff and perfecting making knives because that looks like so much fun
Really good to see someone hot fitting a guard the traditional way. A superior fit up and no gaps guaranteed.
Beautiful work as always. Thanks for the time and effort you put into creating content for us :)
Glorious creation
Gorgeous piece, I'm not usually a fan of the mirror finish but the steep hollow grinds you put in really make that finish work well
Thank you very much. I agree! it definitely has to have a certain style to it for it to not look out of place.
It's like a short sword. I love it. Handle construction is glorious! Glad you redid the pummel
Really nice work mate I really like the look of it.
I really love the way that oil works on that type of wood
awesome job
Love the "unfinished" center
Simplistic for being a good user, rustic for looking cool. I love it!!!
I really love your work because it's absolutely beautiful but still so down to earth that you can do it at home!
Thank you very much!
I like how he goes for the rustic used look it makes the blades look very nice
Whereas I like learning the process, the amount of very expensive, and hard to find, tools and equipment that you have really just takes the fun out of it...
bro that coal in baseball sized DAMN.... i love how clean you forge your blade not much profiling needed AMAZING. i hope to reach that lvl soon
It is very satysfying watch your videos, i didn't realize i spent watching the whole video in the bathroom. Very beautiful work.

Nice man, honestly glad you decided to put more work into this one. Came out great!
Me too! Knew I had a good project to learn and try stuff on so I took my sweet time :)
You will be best master! If We gonna travel in XII Century. Good job mate
Looks practical, real world bordering on grimdark, like Berserk, less like LOTR. Very different than the "daggers" most TH-camrs make.
WOW what a great job! Very impressive and a mirror finish to end it with. Overall a great looking dagger.
Thank you very much!
Top tier content as always. Absolutely amazing
Отличная работа! Особенно нравится, когда ковка идет чисто молотком, без пресса, без пневмомолота и прочих устройств.
Amazing work. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and skill. Keep up the amazing work

That time lapse of the dagger cooling and settling was cool. I haven’t seen anyone else do that before
Thank you. I always baffles me how much steel shrinks and bends as it's cooling down.
You are better and better, it's amazing !
Thank you! That's what I try to do :)
Wauw very very very great dagger. Love it. 🖤🖤🖤🖤👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻🇧🇪

Thank you Jon! Yes they are indeed a it a bit of a challenge since the whole handle almost has be treated as one with the transitions. Found myself working on the guard then handle to pommel etc. Jumping from piece to piece with no structure. Learned bunches though.

God’s work on that
Отличный нож! Базара нет!
Thats beautiful, but I have a question. Why do the screw-on pommel instead of a peened pommel? I feel like over enough time, that screw will certainly loosen...
Really quality work, great job overall, though I'm not a fan of the "unfinished" look that a lot of craftsmen do like in this piece.
As always quite nice work!👍
Nice job hopefully your workshop gets done soon so you can build and move in, next video you should post the full 26 days of video
My workshop has been done for a couple of months now :) thank you!

Muito Linda, Parece mais uma Espada Curta que uma Adaga! parabéns Sucesso!
Outstanding.
Thumb up for the video! Great look at your technique and skill. What is the deal with the raw forge marks in the finished piece? I realize it's intentional but to what purpose?
Awesome job man! What kind of coal you use?
Is it just me or is this something you watch late at night?
Beautiful work. Was that plumbers tape and Vaseline you used on your glue up?
(QUESTION: I was taught to heat the tang and burn the tang into the handle. I don't see anyone doing that any longer. Is there a reason?)
