Seeing this for the first time today June 17th. 2019. I am blown away at the beauty of this Store. Bless you for braving the crowds to capture the joy of the Season. 🎄
If I leave my backpack at home, taking my measly card, then I'll take the risk of going into this whole block of Harrods Mall, just to absorb in all those artworks of architecture, artline, ceilings, window-dressings and decorations. Then, I'll buy the blue sparkling & blinking drone. I've saved this, for it gave me many ideas for my 2019 Christmas. Thank you so very much for this video.
I like how you walk around the perimeter and capture its grand exterior prior to entering. Brings back memories of my visit 25 years ago. I purchased a Barbour jacket there that I still wear today.
Ok go back to the 3rd floor and get me all those crystal (multi coloured) vases, and a bottle Clive Christian perfume, and a few handbags and well...ok thats enough for this trip...hahaha...thanks for the wonderful walk about! loved it x
Easily the most magnificent store in the world. The owners continually reinvest in the property with ongoing refurbishment, improvements and innovation. As a result this store, like Selfridges, will never go bust.
I'm watching this during quarantine. I won't be traveling for a while, so thanks for posting this. I feel like I just explored Harrods with your video without stressing about the crowd. :)
We visited this past November, thankfully it wasn’t that crowded. The Godiva restaurant, next to the Christmas area, was incredible. We took a peek at the prices of the paintings in the gallery, there were a couple that I swore were children’s art they actually cost £10,000, goes to show how much I know about art. Harrod’s is a must see if you’re in London.
I subscribed to your channel last night. I’ve got a new favourite! Your filming is so clear! I live in Cornwall but as a young teenager we used to do day trips to London with my mum! I haven’t been for along time. So I’m loving this! Thank you
I watched many of your videos and enjoy your walks, especially in The City. This video is even more claustrophobic than real life. I absolutely hate going to Harrods (or any other big stores like Selfridges, Debenhams, or El Corte Inglés) especially during busy periods. Thank god for online shopping. Nevertheless, it is important to document these places, so thanks for the good effort despite my horror ;)
Thank you for another fascinating walk. I particularly enjoyed seeing the fabulous window displays .... true works of art. A shame that so few people seemed to be stopping to view them. The crowds throughout the store would have made me uncomfortable had I been there for real!
The next time you go in, can you go through their famous "fine watch room" on the ground floor, and "salon de parfums" on the top floor? No one has ever video'd those.
...I have seen Harrods store at this time on 27th much more busy, products has been changed, placements and distributions, food also. As I could observed, outside they have introduced also others, and Barclays is now next. Seems to be, for the workers, more comfortable Uniform dress in... Harrods has promoted Film production for Hollywood upstairs...😉
Season's Greetings and Happy New Year Watched Walker from Las Vegas!! Thank you so much for another wonderful video and taking the time to tackle those crowds for your viewers!! Would Fortum and Mason(my favorite store) be any less busy? Well done and be well and be happy!!
Thanks Robert, greetings to Las Vegas (I'd love to film there at some point). All the stores should start to be less busy following the Boxing Day sales, so may be worth a visit then, including F&M.
Hey, could you do a walk around Greenwich and the Royal Observatory? It was the very first place I visited when I was in London 2 years ago :) The view up there is amazing. And thank you for the video ♥
No it's an every tourist goes there and only the rich few buy anything. It's way too tacky a place for genuine money old or new who are living in London to visit. A bit rough actually.
I enjoy your videos Watched Walker but Harrods inside? If ever a place traded on past glories it's Harrods, now it's more of a tourist hot spot, you could just as easily be in T5 Heathrow. However I guess there are plenty of people who think it's great so you are doing them a service.
Went to Harrods in October, there was a bunch of red roses there, someone asked how much they were, the lady said £1700 , when asked if they were fresh the lady said yes, they will last at least five days, I said five days, I’d want them to last five years at that price, oh how the other half live 😳
Love your videos. Quite curious as to how you are filming; are you mounting a small camera on your body? It’s very steady and stable. Oh and would love to see Highgate, Kentish Town, and Hampstead, including the Heath.
Thank you! I was just holding the Osmo Pocket in this video (I list the gear used in the description). There are a couple of Hampstead videos already on my channel, and the other locations are on my todo list :)
Wow, that was pretty busy in places! Looks gorgeous:) Loving that Osmo pocket by the way, perhaps a little lighter on the elbow for you?! PS Who would dislike this?
Angela, I know right, there's just no pleasing some people! ;) And yes, the OP is much lighter, actually it's a bit too light - it's hard to keep it from moving all over the place.
Walker, would love to see some interiors or more stores or buildings of interest. Perhaps a James Bond filming locations walk. Any reason why you opted for the osmo on this walk?
Yes, that sounds like a good idea. I've just got the OP so wanted to try it out, plus it's more discreet, so better suited for capturing footage inside of stores.
What a beautiful store.... love to be in there with my camera after closing to capture the history of the building.... they don't make them like this anymore :) Question was this filmed on the weekend or during the week as it's WALL TO WALL packed with people in there ..
The staff let you film without any odd looks or questions? It's kind of funny when you have those people are literally looking straight into the camera
Harrods is legendary, man. The author of Winnie The Poo bought the teddy bear for his son there. Harrods has it's own firemen, it's own source of water. It's literally huge, it takes up like 1/5 of the British Museum I think. Harrods makes boats, and much more, they're not just a store. In 2007 they hired a cobra to guard a pair of shoes. Just a few facts, but I'd look more into Harrods, it's a very interesting place.

That was brilliant. You know your way around Harrods. Well filmed and well done!
Thanks Roberto :)

Ha, you need to fly over and hit the store, I could film you going wild buying all the things! ;)
Clive christian number 1. .❤

I was in Harrods two years ago. A wonderful place to visit in London, thanks for sharing. Great content as usual.
What an elegant place 🧐
What a magnificent video you have created... It almost feels like I was there walking inside the store. Congratulations!

I watch a walker in New York also. Find them fascinating..they do more for tourism than anything else and a historical record for the future.
Great video. Thanks for the wonderful views of Harrods.))
good view of inside harrods

Thanks Poppy Doodles! It was very busy that evening, so I can appreciate how you would have felt!
My last visit was 35 yrs ago 😭
Great video cheers.
I too visited Harrods 39 years ago
Wow WW is now on 4K, keep up the good work.....
Your new 4k cam already looks amazing in low light, can't wait to see it perform amazing even more during the day light
How on earth were you able to keep this so steady? With all the people I was expecting to see shaky cam on the level of Michael Bay
Great video! Brings back memories! Wish I could see a video like this in Liberty!
Ok I am watching it again and again💖😍

wow this would be my first time inside harrods, and way too fancy and classy and way too expensive for my pocket! great video thou!!
Not really as everyone just about dresses the same now jeans and goretex whatever their income.

And thank you for the video ♥
Good job 👍🏼🎄👍🏼🎄👍🏼👌🏼
I think Harrods is more of wealthy tourists' store, than a regular, local shopping store.
No it's an every tourist goes there and only the rich few buy anything. It's way too tacky a place for genuine money old or new who are living in London to visit. A bit rough actually.
Very Nice ....Thanks

Thank you Hasan :)
Would you consider a Harrods walk through on a slow morning, before the rush? I'd love to see more of the store..:)
Ambr, I would indeed.
@@WatchedWalker You're the best :D
@@WatchedWalker Yes please. It is a wonderful store and deserves to be filmed without the masses of shoppers.
Please Galeries Lafayette and La Rinascente
Coooool

What a nightmare!
Too crowded.
WHERE is your camera? Most people seem not to see it. This is such a super idea.
Kudos for going in there at this time of year! :) The Pocket looks quite good, happy with how it performed?
There are issues with it, some of which I hope will be fixed with updates.
Nyc....
I wish!

It has a really interesting interior and history. It was filmed on a Saturday (I usually put when videos were filmed in the description).
FANTASTIC FANTASTIC FANTASTIC FANTASTIC FANTASTIC FANTASTIC FANTASTIC FANTASTIC
a vintage shopping but modern own by Qatar now
Harrods went rough lol
Nobody is wearing a face mask!? Amazing,
The staff let you film without any odd looks or questions? It's kind of funny when you have those people are literally looking straight into the camera
Are there any English people in London anymore? Clearly not....
I want to visit harrods one day so I can buy a chocolate bar for £500 quid
Was the noise cancelling activated ? If yes you should deactivated it, because it's useless and annoying.
There is no noise cancelling setting as far as I can see, there is only volume amplification level when in pro mode - but I was in auto.
@@WatchedWalker There is noise cancelling setting, but maybe it's for the image quality...
Yes, I thought that was for visual noise, though the manual doesn’t actually explain what it’s for - so who knows!
Has anyone in London heard of this band called the Beatles?
Is this a joke?
Odd to see so few people carrying green bags.
I didn't notice that, though it does seem a lot of visitors are there just to have a wander around, rather than buy anything.
The ceilings seem very low for such a great store
40 MINUTES OF FOLKS WALKING WAS A BIT TOO LONG
what so special about this place?.... cramped....

I guess no more “Diana and Dodi” by the front door since Dodi’s father sold the store a couple of years ago 😞
Weird how Harrods and Selfridges are doing well, and house and Fraser and Debenhams are struggling.
Different markets, different customer segments
Thank you for this Video. But I Watched Bad Quality Because you was a little bit to Fast here.
No worries, thanks for the feedback.
what I see the future? people still go shopping, AI robots carry shopping bags.
What is going on in their heads?!
The only item they do sell is money.
Way way too busy
What a lot of gastly tat lol
Expensive, high quality ghastly tat...
Don't these people smile. They all look unfriendly. I would be scared to say hi or ask them a question.
The mannequin got no face? That's creepy..
Nice
