BEFORE CORONA THE **ECONOMIC SCAM** CAME ALONG
We had tea at the Savoy on the day I visited Fortnum & Mason, we caught a black cab from The Savoy and he drove us around pointing out sights, and finally we ended up on a side street, near this store. It was like walking into abundant opulence, so elegant and though very crowded with shoppers there was only calm and order. I leaned on the stair case for the longest time, watching people walk up and down with shopping bags bursting at the seams..... A treat for every sense......literally.....thank you sweetheart for letting me visit again x

My grandma ordered a Christmas hamper from there.
It was frightfully good, lots of yummy food and plonk.
We had a garden party with lots of celebrities, and I got chatting to Jenny Agutter.
And then I woke up.....

I'm beginning to like these shop tours. I'm surprised though that a member of staff didn't ask what you were doing.
It's a very popular store with photographers and vloggers, I'm sure they are used to it and don't mind as long as people are respectful.

I think the staff were just too busy serving customers, while allowing them to film inside the shop can help them somehow promote the place as well.
I was here today. The afternoon tea is worth the money.
I went here in 2013. I went to visit something else that was accross the road. I discovered Fortnum by accident. And what a beautiful discovery it was
This, Liberty and Floris are my favourite stores in London. Thanks haven't seen Fortnum's in many years.

Fancy store! We had afternoon tea in Atlanta GA recently and they were boasting some of their teas were imported from Fortnum and Mason in London, we recently did a video about our experience. Cool to see where our tea came from.
My favorite parts of this video were ther perfumes and wine I didn't want it to end keep up the great footage!

Oh man, I went here on a trip to London in 2011. I still recognize parts of the store, especially the staircases. I've still got a few gold sparklers that I bought there (though they don't light very easily anymore).
This ... Is shocking❗️There's no way I'm going in there... I'm afraid that I'll knock something down & break something that I have no inkling the price of it❗️ All the gold... Made my eyes swell. And you passed by the hill of caviar...‼️ Them staircases... no wonder the British people are slim and have woodenlegs‼️ The building must be extraordinary to carry all those weights! And then, the last straw, was on the top floor, a man playing the piano.😶😶😶 Thank you very much for letting me see all this, without an incident.

Just catching upon some of your older Christmas videos. Huge store. You went down instead of up, there was one more floor! ;) Or maybe several more, it didn’t seem to stop. It was like the Harry Potter tent that just kept going on and on. You may have ended up at the pearly gates having a chat with St. Peter. Excellent surreptitious filming, dodging the personnel before they could stop you filming. I imagined them racing after you as you deftly lost yourself in the crowds. Thanks for the look inside.

From 2001-2013 I visited London every year for a week or two each year (I’d stay with friends): I had NO IDEA until this video that FM was a full-on department store 😳😂🤷🏻♂️ I had never bothered to go inside. Gorgeous! ✌️

I've never been to Fortnum & Mason, only Harrods, Selfridges and Liberty. I looooved Liberty!! Visited back in the late 80's... it was a little strait-laced in those days, but very impressive. I was still looking at items on display when it turned 5-25pm, a security guard approached me... I thought he was going to tell me off for touching the display items! But he just leaned over to me and quietly said "We'll be closing in five minutes madam" then the national anthem played over the loud speakers... I nearly died laughing!! 😂 I hope they don't do that now! This is wonderful... I would love to go to Fortnum & Mason, they have a fantastic restaurant where you can get a special afternoon tea... seen a video on here about it... very expensive, but so unique. Those perfume bottles at 11:15... wow, like something out of Disney movie!! Do you need special permission to film in these stores, or are they quite relaxed about filming? It's always good promotion for them.
That's funny about the national anthem being played at closing, I've never heard of that! Most places are quite relaxed now that it's a social media world - it's good promotion as you say :)

Enjoying watching your videos, one question I'd like to ask, the camera you use shows great quality, is it small or covert, the reason why I ask is, there's another youtuber I follow,... Roberts London ... when he tried to film in here security clocked him more or less straight away ... :-) ..
But every time I'm in London I always pop into F&M ... there coffee with the mini ice cream is great .. and I allways buy at least three of there Scotch eggs and a sausage roll ...any pointer on the equipment you use would be greatly appreciated ....... Y.B.Y

The store sets the standard, the dress code of the scruffy shoppers does not.

But I also think this is one of the place where you will find the least amount of British people in Uk. Fortnum is just too posh for the average Brit.
Fortnum is the tea supplier of Buckingham palace..
@@pearlorient9972 Yes indeed, Fortnum is one of the official suppliers of teas and tea pastry to the HM Queen Elizabeth II and the HRH Prince of Wales. Parker also supplies its pens and writing accessories to the Queen and Prince Charles. However, the common thing is they are luxury products that not all average Brit would use them in a daily manner.
I’m certain that you wouldn’t drink TGFOP grade Darjeeling everyday as your morning pick-me-up.
