I was shocked at what I watched and it didn’t make me feel good. They still play his music on Kirk Franklin’s SiriusXM channel, so I thought he was still singing Christian music. He has such a beautiful, unique voice. My prayer is that God covers him. Don’t condemn him. Pray for him.
That’s actually not a good measure of how Christian someone is. Kirk Franklin is worldly, and therefore a lot of people to keep plays on his station our worldly. Him featuring Dante is more of an indication that Dante is of the world.

He’s not going to come back unless he hits rock bottom. Secular music is actually what he has always wanted to do. He just couldn’t get his career off the ground. He tried for three years. When that didn’t work, he did what a lot of other artists have done. He came into Christian music did the Christian music thing for a little bit until he got an audience and then left. It’s unfortunately pretty common. Yes, God created all of us to worship him, but it’s a choice. Dante chose to use the Christian music scene as no more than a steppingstone for a bigger career. If Dante doesn’t want to return to Christian music, he won’t, and God won’t force him. The Bible tells us that many will fall away or walk away from the faith. It’s called the great falling away. God gives us the free will to choose whether we serve him or we serve the world. Dante has chosen the world, and as I said before he’s not going to return it to the Christian music scene unless he wants to. No amount of writing. Come back to your first love or come back to Christian music will make any difference if he doesn’t want to come back. The Bible also tells us that those that depart from us were never one of us to begin with.

Dante Bowe is a young man who loves God but he's being pulled into a more secular world of music. I don't really love the performance as far as choreography, but I love his voice. I pray he will make the choice to do Christian music again.

He’s no secret to me. I’ve been in love with him singing contemporary gospel for a few years now. God dropped a rare deep, raspy and velvety voice into a 24 year old young man who was singing gospel, writing songs like crazy and getting Grammy nods in that genre a couple years ago. Unfortunately got a bad rap from other Christian artists and tore up on social media for being human. I’m so thrilled to see him rise above all that and let his truth and talent shine through. There’s no holding him back. We love you Dante. 🙌🔥❤️
So you think as a proclaimed Christian yes you may fall short but shouldn’t you repent and still have to acknowledge your wrong doing. This is his first love not worship music. He just couldn’t get here on his phone. He tried for three years. So he chose to do what artist like, Katy Perry, Beyoncé, Amy Grant, etc. did use Christian music to get an audience and then leave. So he is with his first love. It’s just not God or gospel music.

@@hopemcintosh6998 I genuinely wish things were different, but even if he did come back to Christian/gospel music, He burned a ton of bridges. He has engaged in some very inappropriate behavior, and no one would want to be associated with him. He admitted in an interview a few months ago that he made it very hard for Maverick city music the group he was originally with to work with him. They had to call his manager to get him to show up for touring. He worked with some other worship leaders, and I can tell you, they wouldn’t say anything, but it would not surprise me if he was difficult for them as well or didn’t treat them well. He also wouldn’t get any coverage from Christian media. New release today the largest online Christian music news website completely dropped him and they won’t promote him ever again unless he changes his behavior and repent. They won’t promote any artist that lives the secular lifestyle. So really, there’s nothing for him to come back to in Christian/Gospel music anyway. No one will risk working with him and it’s his own fault. A band made up of two incredibly sweet brothers, took him on tour with them at the beginning of last year, and they won’t ever badmouth anyone but given his behavior, I don’t think he was all that cooperative with them either. So yeah, there’s really not a possible way back into Christian/Gospel music for him. He is the one who doesn’t like it when the attention isn’t on him, and when he doesn’t get recognition, which doesn’t make for a good collaboration process.

What many must understand is that this young man could never have been truly singing for The Most High.
He has chosen to serve the world. Anyone can sing for “God” and you think they are true but in the end they will hear “turn from me, I never knew you” perfect example of what is in your heart will always come out. No one can be truly for the kingdom and literally turn and do exactly what you can’t against in the gospel.

The Christian community did not desert him. They chastised the heck out of him because of things that popped up (yes, that was bad) but did not desert him. There are many Christians who felt betrayed because of this sharp turn towards R&B when he is very clearly known (well-known) as a gospel singer. There are some people that don't even have a problem with the R&B music but how it is being presented. There were also many Christians who were outraged over the Clark sisters sample as well. It's one thing for an unknown secular artist to switch to gospel but when a well-known gospel artist switches to secular music, it does have a huge impact on the Christian community. I say all that to say, let's not generalize Christians. Our outrage over certain things that should be holy and set apart has for the most part remained the same. We can definitely go about it better but most Christians are just very heavily concerned for Dante and this new direction.
