This is what he wants to do. It’s always what he has wanted to do. Just because someone sings and writes Christian songs doesn’t mean that they are Christians or that they have a desire deserve God. Dante has been trying to establish a career for a long time. Before coming into Christian music, he tried for three years to get a career going, but couldn’t. Christian music is the easiest genre to get into while secular music requires a lot more. It’s a very common practice. Many secular artists of today started out in Christian music. Amy Grant, Katy Perry,Beyonce. Many black Gospel artist who started out in gospel music are now secular worldly entertainers. Automatically assuming that Dante was in this to serve God is where many people are getting off on the wrong foot. Don’t get me wrong. I totally get it, but the signs have been there that he has desired worldly fame. One that departs was never one of us to begin with according to scripture. If he was truly devoted to Christ, he wouldn’t want any worldly fame at all. His idols are Lil Nas X and perverted, sexually inappropriate Bad Bunny who he has been trying to emulate. Sadly, some artists not all who come to Christian music don’t have any intention of staying in Christian music. Some artists view Christian music has no more than a steppingstone to a bigger, more successful secular career.

Christians are always being called out for hypocrisy, and for the most part, people are correct. So when we are trying to correct a brother, then people are worried about sparing his feelings. We were never meant to be "court jesters" for clapping crowd. There is ONE Person to please, and that is Christ. So while everyone is talking about how "lit" this is, no one actually cares about Dantes soul. We are not in the place to judge. Only God can do that. But we have every right to correct a brother, according to scripture, so that he will not be hell's puppet. Our generation hates counsel and that's why we are how we are today. Dante is worth more than this, and this is beneath his calling. He can do so much better. He is gifted enough to not have to stoop to this level. It's not lustful dancing. It's a traditional celebration dance in South Africa. This is how they worship the Lord in South Africa and it is also part of the culture they are from. You simply dislike it because of how the women move but it's their culture. I have been studying my cultural roots for a few years now. Black people are not from Africa. We migrated there to escape persecution but got caught up in the slave trade between the 1600s and 1800s. This traditional celebration dance actually was the effect from the Black Hebrews when they were living in Africa prior to the slave trade. It is also a mix of the African cultural dancing that Africans do. This type of dancing as provocative as it may seem to you, it really isn't provocative. You have to travel far back to life before technology to understand what type of dance Dante Bowe is doing here. I forgot what it is called but it's translation is to surrender your full mind, body, soul and spirit to the Lord God. If they were dressed in South African clothing, this would make more sense to you. But they are American dressed. I actually respect black Gospel artists that can incorporate how cultures outside their race praises the Lord. We live in a world where we expect people to sound and act like us. It's stupidity that the minds of Americans are set this way. How can we call ourselves children of the most high God if we can't obey the most precious commandment that God gave us? To love, respect and embrace our brethren. This is why America is under judgement now. Because America has done so much evil. How are you going to ask someone to change the ways of their culture because you don't understand it or like it? That's not right. It's wrong. Well said, but let me say this. Christ is not his first love. It never was. Just because somebody has a great voice and sings Christian music and writes Christian songs. Doesn’t mean that they are saved nor doesn’t mean that they are, were, or ever have been a Christian. Dante has always wanted to be a secular artist he just couldn’t get a career established. He tried for three years. When that was unsuccessful, he did what many before him and many after him have and will continue to do. He came to Christian music due to it being the easiest genre to get into, and he stayed long enough to gain an audience. Once that happened, he did everything he could too distance himself and then left. At last year’s Grammys when asked who he was most excited to see perform, he said, Lil Nas X. Also, before he was dropped from Maverick city music he posted a video of him and another member jamming out to perverted sexually inappropriate artist Bad Bunny, and when he received backlash, he was all over the comment section defending himself. Earlierr this year for private, it or something people had access to his Instagram, and the content that Dante was posting on there was extremely inappropriate. There were several videos of him, Twerking, grinding, and dancing provocatively. You could see throughout all these photos and videos that he was trying to emulate his idol. Lil Nas X. He made headlines a few months ago because he posted a photo of himself wearing a shirt with a naked man on it with part of the man’s groin showing. There were also tons of photos of him half naked on there. The reason he was kicked out of Maverick city music is because he posted nudes to his Instagram stories. He has shown a pattern of behavior that does not align with God standards, and even before he got big, there was never any indication that he had a relationship with Christ. All his posts were quotes from people that I’m assuming are secular or photos of him in his pajamas or in the pool. He wanted dove award in 2021 and made a big long post about how if he didn’t have success which is music he would’ve quit. so his motivation was never to serve God, or to leave people into encounters with him. His motive was always success and self glorification. he has always desired the praises of the world.

Anything sensual or sexual that is outside of the confines of marriage is not approved or supported by God, cultural or not. Anything of the flesh is not supported by God. This is what he wants to do. It’s always what he has wanted to do. Just because someone sings and writes Christian songs doesn’t mean that they are Christians or that they have a desire deserve God. Dante has been trying to establish a career for a long time. Before coming into Christian music, he tried for three years to get a career going, but couldn’t. Christian music is the easiest genre to get into while secular music requires a lot more. It’s a very common practice. Many secular artists of today started out in Christian music. Amy Grant, Katy Perry,Beyonce. Many black Gospel artist who started out in gospel music are now secular worldly entertainers. Automatically assuming that Dante was in this to serve God is where many people are getting off on the wrong foot. Don’t get me wrong. I totally get it, but the signs have been there that he has desired worldly fame. One that departs was never one of us to begin with according to scripture. If he was truly devoted to Christ, he wouldn’t want any worldly fame at all. His idols are Lil Nas X and perverted, sexually inappropriate Bad Bunny who he has been trying to emulate. Sadly, some artists not all who come to Christian music don’t have any intention of staying in Christian music. Some artists view Christian music has no more than a steppingstone to a bigger, more successful secular career.

Christians are always being called out for hypocrisy, and for the most part, people are correct. So when we are trying to correct a brother, then people are worried about sparing his feelings. We were never meant to be "court jesters" for clapping crowd. There is ONE Person to please, and that is Christ. So while everyone is talking about how "lit" this is, no one actually cares about Dantes soul. We are not in the place to judge. Only God can do that. It's not lustful dancing. It's a traditional celebration dance in South Africa. This is how they worship the Lord in South Africa and it is also part of the culture they are from. You simply dislike it because of how the women move but it's their culture.
I have been studying my cultural roots for a few years now. Black people are not from Africa. We migrated there to escape persecution but got caught up in the slave trade between the 1600s and 1800s.
This traditional celebration dance actually was the effect from the Black Hebrews when they were living in Africa prior to the slave trade. It is also a mix of the African cultural dancing that Africans do. This type of dancing as provocative as it may seem to you, it really isn't provocative.
You have to travel far back to life before technology to understand what type of dance Dante Bowe is doing here. I forgot what it is called but it's translation is to surrender your full mind, body, soul and spirit to the Lord God.
If they were dressed in South African clothing, this would make more sense to you. But they are American dressed.
I actually respect black Gospel artists that can incorporate how cultures outside their race praises the Lord. We live in a world where we expect people to sound and act like us. It's stupidity that the minds of Americans are set this way.

Well said, but let me say this. Christ is not his first love. It never was. Just because somebody has a great voice and sings Christian music and writes Christian songs. Doesn’t mean that they are saved nor doesn’t mean that they are, were, or ever have been a Christian. Dante has always wanted to be a secular artist he just couldn’t get a career established. He tried for three years. When that was unsuccessful, he did what many before him and many after him have and will continue to do. He came to Christian music due to it being the easiest genre to get into, and he stayed long enough to gain an audience. Once that happened, he did everything he could too distance himself and then left. At last year’s Grammys when asked who he was most excited to see perform, he said, Lil Nas X. Also, before he was dropped from Maverick city music he posted a video of him and another member jamming out to perverted sexually inappropriate artist Bad Bunny, and when he received backlash, he was all over the comment section defending himself. Earlierr this year for private, it or something people had access to his Instagram, and the content that Dante was posting on there was extremely inappropriate. There were several videos of him, Twerking, grinding, and dancing provocatively. You could see throughout all these photos and videos that he was trying to emulate his idol. Lil Nas X. He made headlines a few months ago because he posted a photo of himself wearing a shirt with a naked man on it with part of the man’s groin showing. There were also tons of photos of him half naked on there. The reason he was kicked out of Maverick city music is because he posted nudes to his Instagram stories. He has shown a pattern of behavior that does not align with God standards, and even before he got big, there was never any indication that he had a relationship with Christ. All his posts were quotes from people that I’m assuming are secular or photos of him in his pajamas or in the pool. He wanted dove award in 2021 and made a big long post about how if he didn’t have success which is music he would’ve quit. so his motivation was never to serve God, or to leave people into encounters with him. His motive was always success and self glorification. he has always desired the praises of the world.
If this is the future of worship... I don't wanna worship. What a disgusting display of vulgarity by these "worshippers"... I'll stick with pure worship in spirit and in truth, not whatever this gyrating body showing grind is. So disappointed in what has befallen "Christian" artists.

At 2:31 in the video, he is singing Holy, Holy, Holy while he’s up on a girl. Nonbelievers won’t come to Christ through this because they will see no difference between a so-called Christian music video and the music they already listened to. If something doesn’t honor God, then it doesn’t come from God. This music video does not come from God at all. We don’t reach no believer by acting like them and engaging the same things they engaging. If we are Christians, we are to be set apart and to be an example. Is Dante doing that? No he isn’t not even close. All he’s doing is leading people astray and causing confusion.

They can and have to be reached without conforming to the world, the only one who can reach them is the holy spirit. I'm going to keep it a buck. That negative music stuff everyone talking about isn't what I hear. I HEAR music period. I appreciate you trying new things with your music. But I am “grateful” for just your worship music sound. This sound isnt bad but not the sound that touched millions of lives daily and been pinnacle in mine. Abba, voice of God, and the list goes on from how you put “soul” in worship music not just for views. It's genuinely felt. You dug deep in each song. Right now you're just having fun and people need to respect that. It does not mean you don't have God in your life. Keep doing what you feel is right but just speaking for myself. The way you sing bro when it's praise has passion behind it when I hear it. The songs are healing and joyful to my spirit both in the same on good and bad days. The young man doesn't serve the white man's God. The God he serves is that of the Bible. Because of the cultural shift in the sound and rhythm it might take some temperance getting used to what you've been presented, but except there's an agenda that's titled towards gender fluidity, and time will tell, then you can simply just see yourself as projecting your stereotype on him in the expectation of musical piece you were thinking you'll get. This is not CCM, nor CCW. This is a true SubSaharan African in diaspora connecting with his brother in the West Coast of Africa and creating a masterpiece that might be unAmerican, but certainly majestically groovy and inspiring.
I do agree that the dancers were quite unusually dressed (which was why i spoke about some kind of fluidity earlier) and though that's probably intentional from the production team and videographer's angles, everything else seems fine.

It's just why do women have to gyrate dance like that, when that IS what the world does in secular music. That is NOT giving glory to God, it yells, look at me and my suggestive body movements. David danced before the Lord, not in a seductive type way (according to scripture) but out of reverence for the Lord. I like Donte, and praying for him, but this is not worship music, it's just music.
