The needle that Jinx uses in Silco's eye is a shimmer dispenser, according to what is shown in the same series Silco has a kind of "infection" in his eye from his fight with Vander in his youth in which he tried to drown him in the contaminated water of the undercity, so I imagine that the shimmer helped him control that infection or any symptoms that it produced
@@ShyGuyPlus I very much like the scenes with Jinx using that needle on Silco's eye - it shows just how much he trusts her; to literally let her stab him in the eye on a regular basis, and not so much as flinch as she does it.
@@ShyGuyPlus Man the youtube algorythm is against you. Yesterday literally searched shy guy+ arcane season 1 and couldnt find the video on my tablet before bed.
Fun fact, Mel's mom (Ambessa) has voice lines flirting with other champions in game, and all the men she flirts with are various degrees of twink 😂 (she also flirts with other buff women)
theres a league ingame interaction quote between Ekko and Jinx, Ekko says something like "I used to have a crush on you until you started talking to the gun"
1:51:09 whenever there are scratches on the screen, it usually means one of the voices is talking to her so my best guess is Claggor told her to dodge Edit: 2:12:55 I think she was talking more about herself than Silco since she wasn't acting like her usual protective self. She became the monster to Powder for that small amount of time
Ooo ooo! I know this! Blimps and zeppelins aren’t used much anymore for the simplytoo dangerous. The gas had an unfortunate habit of exploding (look up the Hindenburg disaster), not to mention slower and wayyy larger than planes. It simply didn’t make sense after a certain pount
Jinx basically means a bringer of bad luck. It doesn't matter how good things seem to be going; if a jinx appears, things will turn for the worst. 1:57:11 I'm pretty sure it's Undercity air. The other one's have gotten so used to breathable, Topside air that they're no longer used to how toxic the air they grew up in is. Silco isn't affected because he still spends all his time in the Undercity. It's specifically used as a reminder of where they came from, what they're fighting for, and who has the power. Shimmer is like many drugs: safe is small doses, dangerous in larger ones, and incredibly addictive. It's kinda like if you mixed cocaine and steroids. Silco DOES care for Jinx like a father would for his daughter. He's just a really shit dad. Silco doesn't understand empathy well, so he doesn't really know how to love in a normal way.
Silco is a bad father in the way he uses Jinx to fight his war - and how he instill in her the same distrust that he has towards people (probably unintentionally). But when it comes to how much he supports her, accepts her for who she is, loves her for both her genius and her flaws - that is the best kind of Father a crazy girl could hope for.
So, about their ages, it's not confirmed but it's belived that Powder is around 7/8 & Violet is like 13/14 at the start of the series, and the time jump is 10 years, so they'll be around 17/18 for Jinx & 23/24 for Vi
@@besupaaa thanks for the honest feedback I’ll start putting subtitles on as I watch in s2, s2 ep1-3 I already watched but def will add subtitles on the other episodes!!
Man, this is gonna sound really weird, but thank you so much for an explanation about suffocating at 41:57 because English is not my first language and I was about to go and google translate this haha Btw, I really love your reactions! Thank you ❤ P.s: and also the way you called Silco "Stolas" 😭
Not exactly - Airships can be made a lot safer these day, if we wanted to. In fact, the Hindenburg, as far as I recall, was a huge engineering f-ck up; it was never supposed to be that flammable, somebody somewhere made a literal Hidenburg-sized blunder. The reason we don't use airships is because of how inefficient they are. If you need to get something somewhere fast, you do it by airplane - if speed is not a priority and you want to save cost or fuel, you send it by ship. Airships are - unfortunately - redundant. Also... "It's not a blimp" 😅
@@LadyDoomsingerI know what you mean, but the explosion also changed popular opinion on them. If they had still been in popular favor I think we would have adapted them to our needs etc. Also, thanks for helping with the vocabulary. ❤
@@ShyyGaladriel Oh, absolutely - The Hindenburg was not great PR - but if that was all there was to it, the Titanic would've done the same to ships. And the Challenger to spacecrafts. If airships were an effective mode of transportation, it would've persisted. A pity I agree, because airships are aesthetically awesome, but that is all they have going for them.
I once saw someone say that the saddest part of arcane is that everybody thought what they were doing was right

The editing got me! Love the comparison between a plane and the air balloon LOL
