I get chills whenever Eternal wind shows up in this. What a beautiful theme it is, no matter how it's played, it's the single most beautiful piece of game music ever for me.
1:32 using softer strings and giving more time to the key changes, compared to the original arrangement, gives a charming authenticity to this rendition ✨
Anybody else notice between 5:00 and 5:30 (Truth/Zanarkand) that the cello players’ fingers are moving up and down the fretboards like crazy, but you can’t hear them? It’s driving me a bit crazy and I’ve watched it over and over while listening on good headphones. I’m guessing maybe they’re just playing very quietly? IDK Anyway, this whole thing is just gorgeous and beautiful and another classy, tear jerker of an arrangement from beloved Jagmo. 😍
Sorry to tell ya, but violas and cellos are not violins. And while cellos may be more acoustically sound than violas, that still doesn't always help when you have a whole group of wind instruments blaring behind ya, not to mention the wall of 1st and 2nd violins opposite. Crescendo moments like that make it very easy to bury the basses(yes cello is technically part of the bass)

It was crescendo so they should played it louder for that part.
