I've said it before I'll say it again. Always surprised by how good a job George does. Probably doesn't get enough credit for all the camera work and the commentary is entertaining, light hearted, and ties everything together. Max respect.

I'm 50 years old. I've been watching Cleet for a long time. Since before he came to Australia for the first time. 20 plus years ago, we had to wait until Tuesday every week for Top Gear at 7:30pm. It was the highlight of my week. Millions spent on production. But I was more excited for this video. And this is filmed on a phone for F#@ks sake! It surprised me honestly. Cleet, Cameron, James in mullet. I'm going to watch it again right now!
Something special about cleet handing mullet over to James and watching him down track to make sure he made the turn.. James is the right man for the job
right he ahs full trust in james and mullets ability but is so humble and cautious about knowing the risks and knowing that car has ran down track and chutes not pop before. and they changed them out i think cause of that. i also think james was shocked by the monster that car really is even though hes driven and owns some very fast cars the big end is drastic

It is a bit of a shame that the rumours or him buying sick 1.0 never came to fruition, would've been a cool car to have, I really hope one day he does create a mini museum at the freedom factory of old channel cars that are out of use, sick 1.0 would've been a great car for that.

I had a similar experience. Heard jets (im by pax river naval air station in Southern Maryland) ran outside like all men do to catch a glimpse. Came back in to a new drop from Cleet.😂

For a car of this caliber to be built in that time frame absolutely proves the talent of CJ Race Cars. The amount of details and quality would take 3 times or more at other shops.

Cleetus is a generational level driver! The ability to jump in a car of Eagles level and pilot it successfully right off the rip cannot be overstated. Eagle is exponentially far beyond Mullet. For a car to be almost double the horsepower AND 1,000 lbs lighter is madness.

@ not saying it is exposed or that CJRC did anything unsafe. I’m saying that you can see the strap threatening to go under the safety shroud. That is 100% on Cleet to manage his gear appropriately. Not worth even if the camera angle exaggerates whats happening.

It doesn't matter if it was actually close to getting caught, only that the strap or potentially another strap, cord, etc left in the car, could under some random unlucky circumstances could get caught in there and cause catastrophic outcomes. As a scuba-diver, the majority of the accidents I've looked into are a series of several unlikely but preventable events that all happen at the same time. You're tired, ignore a safety standard, a piece of equipment happens to be in the wrong place, the weather is slightly different that day .... a bunch of little things all add up to what causes the catastrophic outcome. It seems easy to cover that, whether with a shroud, hardware cloth (wire mesh), or literally anything.
That inside car camera shot on the second run shows how fast things happen at real top speed you tend to not want to make it stop it feels sooo good.Always go fast as you can Cleetus I love it.

45:09 that’s what the right chassis feels like. Steve Morris gave you all the power but mullet couldn’t put it down. You can tell the way this car loads up the rear soon as you leave it’s a whole different animal.
It goes way beyond the guys on streetoutlaws. Petty has been tuning for decades now some of the fastest vehicles on the planet. When 10.5 outlaw was the big thing many years ago it was Petty and Lynch that busted into the scene spanking everyone with the New Edge twin turbo BBF and went 6.50s almost 20 years ago when proline first started really make a name for themselves. He has been helping the fastest guys in pro mod from around the world and everything in between. Petty is a great tuner and knows how to get a car down the track. That said, I personally would go with a different option engine wise for me personally, which would be an engine done by DiSomma Racing Engines since he also builds a great engine and a close friendship that goes back 25 years but I would never not accept advice for the amazing Steve Petty.

you can see the trans fluid at 54:45 gushing out. had my doubts that was the issue. also the arm strap is flying pretty close to the driveshaft.

U joint is not exposed at all. You can see it from the front but that u joint is way inside that tunnel and in line with a titanium loop

Dude...this whole thing has me grinning from ear to ear all around. So stoked to see the Camaro come full circle from OG to present day! Also, mad props to CJ for building such a fault-tolerant chassis...with Cleet's cat like reflexes on that slip, saved the car from what could have been something awful. Such a sick build.

Cleetus is a generational level driver! The ability to jump in a car of Eagles level and pilot it successfully right off the rip cannot be overstated. Eagle is exponentially far beyond Mullet. For a car to be almost double the horsepower AND 1,000 lbs lighter is madness.

The driveshaft is not exposed, and it's the angle of the Go Pro that makes it look that way...all is SAFE!!
@ not saying it is exposed or that CJRC did anything unsafe. I’m saying that you can see the strap threatening to go under the safety shroud. That is 100% on Cleet to manage his gear appropriately. Not worth even if the camera angle exaggerates whats happening.
@@Turtles00 I'm with you on this. It doesn't matter if it was actually close to getting caught, only that the strap or potentially another strap, cord, etc left in the car, could under some random unlucky circumstances could get caught in there and cause catastrophic outcomes.
As a scuba-diver, the majority of the accidents I've looked into are a series of several unlikely but preventable events that all happen at the same time. You're tired, ignore a safety standard, a piece of equipment happens to be in the wrong place, the weather is slightly different that day .... a bunch of little things all add up to what causes the catastrophic outcome.
It seems easy to cover that, whether with a shroud, hardware cloth (wire mesh), or literally anything.

It goes way beyond the guys on streetoutlaws. Petty has been tuning for decades now some of the fastest vehicles on the planet. When 10.5 outlaw was the big thing many years ago it was Petty and Lynch that busted into the scene spanking everyone with the New Edge twin turbo BBF and went 6.50s almost 20 years ago when proline first started really make a name for themselves. He has been helping the fastest guys in pro mod from around the world and everything in between. Petty is a great tuner and knows how to get a car down the track. That said, I personally would go with a different option engine wise for me personally, which would be an engine done by DiSomma Racing Engines since he also builds a great engine and a close friendship that goes back 25 years but I would never not accept advice for the amazing Steve Petty.
