can ligaments make clicking sounds? more specifically the nuchal ligament because i feel a clicking in my neck (c1-c7) i’m not sure if it’s the ligament or a tendon/muscle
@@trapjimmy3346 Oh and haven't you found what was the problem? I also had my shoulder clicking for some months but then it went away or it just doesn't click as much as before
Great explanation! Question- how would you advise to strengthen the anterior vertebral column? I ask this question because people with osteoporosis are more susceptible to damage to the interior vertebral column versus posterior. Yes the posterior is susceptible to damage but it’s the anterior that is the most susceptible. How would you advise strengthening the interior? Another question - is it true that extreme yoga can over stretch the ligaments? Thanks so much for these great videos!
I don't know. You would aim to strengthen the back and core as a whole, muscles and bones, and do this through loading the vertebral column and improving posture. It depends upon what the person can manage, but walking, running, jumping or dancing, and strength training are recommended by the Royal Osteoporosis Society. You can imagine how these would help load the vertebral column, encouraging bone deposition. Osteoporosis is associated with advancing age, as is reducing muscle strength, so strength training can be very helpful. If there are concerns about the anterior vertebral column then flexion of the column (anteriorly) should be limited.
