Dauphin County Prison Incident

This video was released by Leticia Chavez-Freed, the lawyer for Jarrett Leaman, who claims he was beaten at Dauphin County Prison in June 2019. This video is a shortened version of the one Chavez-Freed released and has been edited by PennLive.

I spent 13 months at DCP then another 3 at the work release center and never had one issue with any staff members or inmates. I actually made friends with a lot of my fellow inmates and even a handful of the COs (who actually treated us like human beings).

I don’t understand what was wrong here? It appears as tho he was uncooperative and bucking around so he taken down and placed in a restraint chair. Pic was taken to attach to their use of force documents and medical came in and used smelling salts to get him to “come to”. The only thing I see is that medical did not check his restraint straps and do vitals before leaving. Medical may have come right back to complete this but with no video, we can’t know. It’s also unfortunate that jails use video surveillance without audio. This is all MY OPINION, u r free to ur own opinion also as I wasn’t there. DONT COME AT ME. 🤟🏻
