SO the heat shrink tubing is the only thing holding the main wire to the other 5? Just shoved down the middle? If that is the case, I dont see it holding up long. I hope it works for you. I do like the wire twisting idea.
It’s not the only thing, used baking soda and super glue to add some stability between all the wires underneath the heat shrink tubing. With the twisted wire the amount of surface area to bond with that is increases so it’s quite strong. The epoxy clear coat helped keep things all under wraps together. Been using it for a few months now and no issues!

Absolutely brilliant! Instead of glue, I place the wires in a jig mold with melted lead. Awesome concept!
