Donny, thank you so much for taking me back many years to my days of cruising around the Western isles! I once actually patted a puffin on Lunga...he came and sat by me, feet on my shoe and I tentatively reached down to touch his head...such a wonderful moment! Some lovely views of the Dutchman's Cap in your video too. I too have been inside Fingal's cave, rowing in my Avon Redcrest inflatable while my father held station out to sea. It's a truly magical place. Calgary bay is also beautiful, and the rabbits are so plentiful! I camped there one time and found to my delight...and particularly to my wife's delight, that there was a public loo in the trees at the head of the bay, complete with an outside tap for filling water carriers and a bunch of wild flowers in a jam jar on the window ledge. We visited the Mull Little Theatre at Dervaig, the smallest in the world, and saw a fabulous production starring, by amazing coincidence, a pal of my wife's who was also in my school many years previously. A half-time break meant champagne in the courtyard...very civilised! Returning to our tent at Calgary, it had collapsed and the next half-hour re-erecting it was plagued by midges! I love Mull! Thanks again for bringing back these memories!
Thanks Colin ..yup I would love to get close up shots of the puffins... perhaps one day .. they dont hang around when swimming though. The next section is my favourite ..the wilderness coast but that for part 4 :-D
Incredibly beautiful shots once again! There is nothing more to say about your new and beautiful video than I envy you for this scenic beauty around your home! And ...that the desire to travel through this area with my own boat is becoming greater and greater ;))!
Another big trip in a little boat, with great images ( & music) along the way. No mention of Dutchman's cap though, it always makes me think of quaker oats. I bought a radar reflector, but have yet to fit it. Etive beckons if only the weather would settle down. Thanks for posting.
I dont go as far as the dutchmans cap ashley ..I always think of it as rather sterile. Weather is terrible but half way through next week..I think there is some dry and not to windy days..but getting much colder now. Means no midges though..so thats a plus :-D
Thanks Ian..yup..Im happy with the drone stuff... in fact I have been doing quite a lot lately to improve my flying camera skills ..but thats for future videos :-D
Thanks for your kind words on the videos dominic.. much appreciated. Its not often I can get in the cave as its usually quite rough out there but I made the most of the calm seas :-D
Thanks colin ..I enjoyed my trips going round mull ..just a pity it was a bad season for boating this year..for me anyhoo..and weather is still very unsettled :-D
Hi Andrew ..a good question and its yes and also a no :-o I have been recording the drone footage in log format, for better dynamic range, so have to colour correct for it. In this video I experimented with a LUT to give it that less saturated look with slight vignette which is what you have picked up as grading. I have been doing a lot of experimenting lately which is why its taken so long to get the episodes finished. Lately I have been recording in S Log 2 for the Sony camcorder so will eventually colour correct then grade the whole video ..but that will be after I finish this box set. I have a few of local landscapes taken by the drone and camera which I will post after this series ends ...so keep watching. Im also working on the audio side of things. Its a slow learning process at my age..but Im getting there ..I hope. So ..to answer your question..up until this video..I have just corrected the drone stuff ..but going forward ..Im not sure how things will go ...its all just part of the fun of making my videos :-D

Very enjoyable again, thanks! You could ask a very good price for taking a tourist to Staffa and back, since your boat fits in the cave very neatly!!

Hi Donny, great video as always! Do you colour grade your footage or do we see the natural shots? Thanks
