I've never experienced a time-line where people who are in charge, have absolutely no business being in charge of anything, like I've experienced over the last couple years.
Also the only vehicles Chevy/GM makes anymore that are front engine, rear wheel drive are trucks and SUVs. Chevy no longer offers anything resembling a muscle car anymore.
1968: I want a bigger carb, headers and a high lift cam for more performance. 2024: I want to change a few lines of code for more performance. This trend sucks
@@Nun195 for one thing, it takes performance mods out of the hands of gearheads and puts some technician with a laptop to change a few lines of code to unlock something in the hardware that was already there but allowed only in a diminished form. This is like having to get a software patch on your phone to access something that is not allowed by default. Oh wait, thats what happens already, lol
And we get Dodge trying to make a fake steak by emphasizing the gristle, tendons and tossing in a couple fake bone chips as well. One of the few nice benefits of an EV is the lack of noise, and the relative simplicity for the driver.
Like our clown of a Prime Minister here in Australia saying this to us about 6 months ago ,,, ready for this ? ' You can put solar panels on the roof of our cars and ' Charge ' them up at night when you are sleeping ready for the next day ' I shit you not , he really said that so he is either dumb as dog shit or thinks we are ?
The ONLY thing Dodge needed to do, was/is to design a Charger, with a decent HEMI V8, that looks AS CLOSE TO A 1968 CHARGER, INSIDE AND OUT ! (As much as possible with current safety standards). PERIOD.
68 Charger RT’s with 426/440, Dana 60 rear, with the round tail lights and hideaway headlights were the pinnacle of MOPAR. I don’t think the leadership at the top know what the public want. 😢
Fake exhaust, fake shifter, what is wrong with the management at Stellantis do they have no vision or do they think this will appease buyers ? No way would I ever spend my money on this crap.
The people who make these decisions are people who are buying high end luxury cars or taking the subway to work. They don't understand the people buying the cars because they have no interest in that style of car. So given the task of designing an EV that the charger owner would be interested in buying, they take a glance at a charger and try to incorporate those features into their EV without any knowledge of the people who bought the car. So they drive it and hear big roaring V8 and think Charger owners like loud cars, so they pipe the sound in. They don't realize we like that sound because thats the sound the car makes when it's doing what we want it to do. If you want to make an EV that muscle car owners will like, rather than trying to emulate a muscle car, figure out why people actually like muscle cars, rather than individual features, and build a car that does that but electric. The formula is simple: make it accelerate hard from a stop light, drive around effortlessly when it's not WOT, soften up the suspension and tires so it hooks up well and rides half decent, and make things as analog and responsive as possible. Make it feel like I'm driving the car, rather than playing a video game. You build that, and people won't care about the shifter or what it sounds like
The reason Uncle Tony's comment was so funny is because it was so accurate of a description. That vehicle does look like a rolling electric dumpster. For the record, I didn't actually pee myself.
And after a few thousand miles the speaker under the hood will be activated to simulare a lifer tick to give you that authenic dodge experience. Dont worry though..dodge will turn it off for 4k and a software update.
The same conglomerate owns all of the auto manufacturers, and that conglomerate doesn't want humans to be able to travel freely at our own will. They are tanking the industry intentionally. In 30 years, a horse will be the most reliable transportation.
No they don't. Plus, where and when you can drive a car is currently already determined by the government, anyway. The location of the roads and whether they're open isn't up to you, is it? No. Who issues licenses and registrations? I'd say it's the exact opposite of your claim, the configuration of our lives is set up to depend on cars, forcing you to buy cars and petroleum products, insurance, etc... making the people who sell these things rich whether you like it or not, or you'd rather spend money on something else or saving it. Then they flood everyone with propaganda to fight public transit, pedestrian and cycling infrastructure, or even the existence of anyone in a public space outside of a car, or changes to zoning that would make car driving less necessary.
@anthonywolverton9833. 🤦. You are clueless and literally have everything backwards. So much so that it sounds like you are actively pushing conspiracy propaganda to shield the actual conspiracy that is happening just like OP said. The Great Reset is a factual plan by a worldwide organization (WEF) that has its hands in major world govt's across the globe. They OPENLY stare their goals....and its exactly the opposite of your comment, and completely in line with OP. They want us completely dependent on govt and public transportation. They want us unable to own, and only to rent. They do not want you to be able to live and travel freely on your own.
This is what the world needed. Uncle Tony speaking up for the true Mopar fans, and how this is a mockery of that legacy and history 👍 💪. Happy Holidays everyone. ICE for life. Want an EV get a Tesla. Some of us like wrenching 🔧 on our cars without the need for a Computer science or Electrical engineering degree.
Who in their right mind is going to be buying these EVs when they start showing up as used cars. Not me. When my washing machine starts making noise out to the curb it goes.
Exactly, it's an insult to intelligence. They should have gone full Ho-Mo and gave them new names like a Challenger "Pride", "Accepted" and a base model like "Challenger Disphoria".
Ford tried to pull the same jam over here in Britain last year. From the late 1960's to the mid 1980's, our Ford "Mustang" was the Ford Capri, a car that wasn't suited to the U.S market, but was almost as much of an icon on our roads here as things like the Mini, or the E-Type. It was a handsome old Hector, loved by pretty much everyone in its day. Last year, Ford of Europe relaunched the iconic Capri name... and believe me, it was Capri in name only. Needless to say, it was an E.V that shared much in its flabby, jelly mould design with the Mach-E and was so far removed from the hairy chested image of the original Capri, with its low, aggressive stance, long bonnet (hood) and fastback boot (trunk), that not just the motoring press, but the NATIONAL press absolutely pissed themselves laughing at Ford's blatant attempt at cashing in on a truly iconic name of British motoring history.
you should run a hidden cam and ask a bunch of sales people at Dodge dealerships if they can explain what the "Six Pack" means.... Results should be hilarious
the australian valiant charger had a six pack on an i6 and was a well regarded performance car famous for being able to beat v8s. But something tells me they werent digging deep into MOPAR heritage to reference the Australian market when they chose that name.
This is the new trend. Many companies are doing this. Tesla builds lots of cars with many features but…..only if you pay do they “unlock’ them so you can use them.
What cracks me up about most people who talk nostalgic about the "good old days", is that they actually daily drive modern cars / trucks.... Most of these guys do not want to daily drive an old car, and manufacturers are building and selling cars that the average person has been trained to want... I am a true weirdo in that I only drive old vehicles as my dailys, TOTALLY by choice... I will gladly pay extra, and "risk my life" to drive something that I actually enjoy. Not every enthusiast has to do what I do, but I do chuckle at some of these folks. By the way, I like Uncle Tony's take on many of the issues surrounding todays automotive scene.
I'm an old Chevy guy, but I feel for Mopar Uncle Tony. This must be eating you up alive. Let's face it, the car companies are all dead. Just keep your Classic and upgrade to the max. I'm going whole hog on my 67 Camaro and 57 Bel Air.
I feel ya! I’m a VAG guy. Been tuning the ECU along with other mods, always keeping my cars a sleeper. The switch to SUV’s along with eliminating cars has kept me in my 2019. Paid it off in 22’. I’m not giving it up. I’ve become friends with the owner of the dealership, here in Joliet, over the years. We’ve talked about the direction the company is going. He agrees it’s bad. He sells a lot of SUV’s and Jetta’s. GTI’s, GLI’s, and R’s when he can get them. His customer base is changing. He says instead of dealing with gear heads, it’s now clueless Karen’s and Darren’s. He has another dealership in Pennsylvania with the same issues. I’m looking to buy a 25’ MX-5 RF MT. I’ll be able to enjoy driving a simple ICE with great handling. Easy repairs in my garage and a lot of parts available to modify, cosmetically customize, or repair with replacement parts that are more stout. Now, if I could just figure out how to put gas in or add air to the tires. S/ 😂
I think a heck of a lot more people would like them if the range got better, the prices came down, and the leftist scum didn’t try to FORCE us to own them.
We do like them… but only in certain use cases. They’re not for everyone, but they need to exist. I have no interest in buying one now but probably will at some point. My opinion on them has changed over the last decade
I think the channel name is Stached training. It's some fire chief with a big ass mustache and he shows nice clips of what firefighters have to deal with on these EV fires, it's not good at all.
"Team, we have a race tomorrow. We need the car to go out and breathe fire. No one leaves until we squeeze another 200HP out of it". --- Camera pans down, 2 Asians and an Indian bend their heads over their keyboards. Scattered across the desktops are empty bottles of Mountain Dew, Doritos and Cheeto bags, half eaten slices of 7-11 Pizza and a lone Slim Jim wrapper. RIP Mopar
I'm a mechanic and am appalled at the bad quality of modern cars. New Mopars are not like the old Mopars. The new engines are nowhere near as well made as the old ones.
And this is with EVERY brand. You pay Mercedes money for a car and get same cost cutting plastic engine parts and integrated designs as the cheapest KIA.
The Charger EV is a mess, a manager at a big dealer here in Long Island told me he thinks they'll be the WORLD'S Largest Charger dealer, they have ZERO at the dealership.
This car is the Equivalent to that isle in autozone with all the fake carbon fiber Accents' neon underglow, and chrome skull shifter knobs. 🤢🤮 the second they said it was a EV i didnt like it. But adding fake engine noise, Embarrassing.
I saw the video of them debuting the EV Charger and just shook my head at the ridiculous sound it made. They called it some kind of tuned “exhaust”, and I was like wtf, EV’s don’t have exhaust. A friend of mine said they should’ve made it sound like George Jetsons car! I agreed it would have been better……
I feel for you tony in a Ford guy I worked a long time at ford dealerships so I hated the e mack and will never buy one I will be happier with a 1972 galaxy 500 and it's variants.
Tony, I am your age, I grew up with Chrysler all around; my neighbor was an exec there and other neighbors were engineers there. Hell you know how they supported the people who bought their products with pride. I posted this before and will repeat it, Chrysler died when Daimer took it over, and Fiat bought a more dismal line to the market. All Dodge is for Stellantis is just a profit marketing the cars to sell to anyone who wants speed but won't support them after a sale. You remember what it was like, I sure do and it is sad to think that people today expect more from a company that is just there to sell a car with no need to respect the people who used to believe in the company.
They were dead back in the 1970s, revived by Iacocca in the 80's with FWD, but didn't really have anything that the real enthusiast would want for almost 20 YEARS..The LX platform saved their ass.
Perfectly said Uncle Tony! Had they made that “Scat Pack” blistering fast and at least beat all the cheaper ev cars, then they’d at least had something to brag about. Now their biggest claim to fame is the fake exhaust. Ugh 🤦♂️
Its turkey bacon. Do I like bacon? Yes. Do I like turkey? Yes. Do I want my turkey posing as bacon? NO! Just accept who you are dodge. Dont be facon. Nobody wants a facon car
I had a 1982 dodge charger in college. It truly was a gutless wonder compared to the earlier chargers. It was designed to save gas (70s oil crisis), but it was still sooo much fun to drive. Basic, basic, basic.
@@richardthompson6366 Google the 1971 movie ' On Any Sunday ' its about motorcycling in the 70's . Real Broom Broom , not a computer pretending .

Many companies keep trying the pay for upgrade unlocks and people always say it’s stupid and they don’t like it. The companies end up doing it anyway because people are also stupid and will pay for it. Forget if it was BMW or Mercedes that did service fees to be able to use the heated seats. Quit paying and your heaters quit working. At the end of the day they don’t actually care about enthusiasts and the driving experience. They only care about making money. The idea of an experience is much cheaper than building an actual experience.
Like you I am an original old MOPAR guy! Now I’m a little more old school since I’m retired and a 77 year old marine Vietnam era veteran, retired from the automotive profession. As a kid I loved cars and hot rods so much that my parents bought my first tool box full of tools back in the mid 50s because that’s what I wanted to be, a mechanic! My dad always had Plymouth’s in that era & for a long time Plymouth’s had flathead 6 cylinder motors , so that is what I cut my teeth on built and raced them! Electric cars have been around for a long time! They like most everything else are categorized in the great group of invented things as there is nothing new under the sun! There is no real extraordinary reason we should be forcing this type of transportation down people’s throats at this time in history especially the fact that they throw in everyone’s face that an electric car will save the planet! Bullshit! The first red flag is you have to buy one of these Dodge , & the rest of the major automobile manufacturers have found out that go Woke & go broke was not just a flash in the pan! Which Harley Davison found out this past year! Hopefully we will get back on track with the new trump administration taking charge in a few days! The out going administration has been the worst disaster to this country since the Second World War and damned near threw us into world war three! Some say we are actually in world war three right now! ? I totally agree with you! All these people that have followed the mandates of the Biden administration have gone down a loosing path of destruction actually meant to weaken , destabilize & destroy this great country! I’m not saying that there should not be any electric cars! But no matter what is invented as long as it’s safe! Should be “ available “ ! But not mandated for the public to purchase it! Most definitely do not try to market an electric car as something it’s not! Give it its own name! The dodge charger is Iconic! Marketing people today are imbeciles! Creative they are not! Uncle Tony 👍🇺🇸🦡🇺🇸…. Mad Mike S.
just wait til they find all the catches, all the got-ya, all the "upgrade opportunities"... Today, it's all about the gotchas, you're right-on with that.
You are right, Uncle Tony. Back in 2006 I "unlocked" some of the features of the Canon Digital Rebel camera on my Canon S3IS, a 6 megapixel camera that only cost half as much. Same chip, but some features were disabled for my model. Nowadays, manufacturers make it MUCH harder to do stuff like this. #1 in the "Hall of Shame" is, of course, John Deere.
That's what Bombardier (BRP) does with the seadoo spark. 60hp vs ho 90hp model. They started doing that a decade ago. No reason to pay more at the dealer, just pay a fraction with aftermarket tuners.
I could. Fire them all and get guys like: Professor " P ", UTG, Dead Dodge, Dallas and Andy and Ben A. and mickey fucken mouse; as he would do a better job, Cheers.
I hate be argumentative but the difference between the R/T and the Scat Pack is not just a software upgrade. The RT rides on smaller tires all around, smaller brakes, lacks the adaptive suspension which are REAL, tangible, physical differences that would cost more than "20 bucks" to upgrade. Granted it would appear one CAN (assuming they figure out how without bricking the car) bring out full power, but that won't change the smaller rubber, brakes and suspension. I personally LIKE electric performance cars and I LIKE the look of the new Charger Daytona 2-door, and the fact that it's a BIG, heavy car just like "back in the day" when the original rode like a boat- "floating" on skinny tires, with "might as well not have 'em" brakes, body panels that fit together like a tar paper shack in Louisiana, and big old bench seats that let you go sliding from side to side if you even though about cornering hard, and of course only a seat belt that was immediately stuffed in between the bench seat and seat back because NOBODY would be caught "dead" wearing a seat belt, or having their unsightly appearance in view! I like electric performance because NOTHING with a gas engine even comes close! Spout all you want about the Scat Pack's numbers but it will still beat a Demon with 807 "gas" ponies like it's nailed to the ground, and has a superior front to back weight bias, AND is shoving nearly THREE TONS of steel, aluminum, and plastic that if you have to nail some b-eye-Te-See-H in an SUV, she WILL pay the price! Granted, the Dodge isn't nearly as "efficient" as the Tesla Model S Plaid which weighs a thousand pounds less, and pumps out a mere 1,120hp, AND costs about the same as the Scat Pack, but the Dodge does have more "muscle car style"! All of this proves that NOISE doesn't do anything to make a car go faster, only make it sound like it's guts are being torn out as thousands of mechanical parts all jerk and clank in opposition trying to tear themselves free! I personally DO like the imitation sound - why not? That's why humans are able to dream all this up in the first place! I do wish they'd followed Hyundai's lead in adding simulated gear changes since that's what we're "used to hearing" though once this generation is cold and sightless, the NEXT generation won't even care! MY issue with the Dodge Daytona is price - Dodge use to have enough sense to know they needed a cheap version and a pricey version, but apparently now they've decided the "floor" of cheap is higher than the Hellcat, and the price of "pricier" is the same as a T-plaid that goes 0-60 in about 2 seconds, 1/4 mile in a many-times-over-repeated 9.4 seconds on STREET TIRES, and also carries the entire family plus luggage front and rear! So that would make squandering $80K on the Daytona a long, hard think, considering all the other options on the table - including the Silverado EV with a 440 mile range, 800V charging, slightly more horsepower same or less 0-60 in a nearly FOUR TON truck that's fully loaded with every conceivable doo-dad they could think up including self-driving, and b'lo johbs!
CNC machine tool builders (haas would be a well known example) have been gouging buyers on software options for many, many years. The options are ALL in the control. And for however many thousand dollars they deem it worth, they will send a tech out to put in an unlock code, flip a one to a zero, or vise-versa, and you have your option. Do you get to keep the unlock code? Hell no!
@@ScarlettFire341 I'd laugh if you told that to the face of somebody who has a legit 1966 Dodge Coronet 4 door with a factory 426 Hemi. Yes; at least three are known to exist
This makes me laugh! I remember I had a fake plastic motorcycle engine for my bicycle. It had a “ throttle “ on the handle bars , ie volume control. It made sounds like a motorcycle while you rode your bike . It was called Varoom 2 😂
Construction equipment like Cat and John Deere do the same thing. If you buy an engine it will come in various power outputs and if you want the higher output you pay a substantial fee and all it is is a software change to schedule more fuel delivery.
It depends on how big the power change is. For some of them it takes different injectors, turbo, and pistons. If doing it properly you basically have to give them the serial number and they’ll let you know what it can be programmed to. Most of the factory programmers won’t even let you change it beyond what that engine is built for anymore.
Dodge is trying to feed us EVs, and gm just put out the most awesome non electric motor to date by any manufacturer. My wife just brought home a 96 LT1 corvette for me to play with. I think God's trying to tell me something, and I'm thinking about listening. That LT1 is pretty fucking bad ass!
They are very underappreciated because the LS1 totally leaped over it in potential and inexpensive service. That being said it is not too difficult to work around the water pump/optispark situation. Plus you can make a 383 or a 327 out of it like the old school badass motor that it is.
@QuietDriver97 it's a 300 net hp stock 350. It's better than the old school ones. With the "old skool" gross rating, they're about 365hp. Opti is not as bad as the internet says. If you change the cap and rotor like a normal distributor, they work good. When they get wet they do jump spark between wires because of the shitty placement, but works waaaaay better than a points ignition when wet
EVs are great, I love them. Muscle cars are great, I love them too. What I don’t love is fake noises, I’m not 8yrs old. If I have a performance EV I want it to sound like a spaceship or be silent.
I saw the algorithm recommend your video and I was thinking about watching it. Then TK told me to come watch, so here I am! Great video. Thanks! Heading over to watch Ritch’s video next. 😅
When they first debuted the EV charger they were bragging that if you wanted to go to the track you could just call them up and have the upgrades turned on for the weekend. that's when I knew it was a ripoff. sometimes I wish they would just shut down dodge and quite running it's name into the ground.
No you are the one that should speak up you have more experience in one finger than all these other TH-camrs. Keep doing what you are doing and keep passing your knowledge on to the next generation. Enjoy your videos and live streams.
When I first saw the ad for this thing on the TV I was with my family, started screaming at how stupid the commercial was. "they're telling you it's good, they're not showing you it's good, they're forcing you to believe it's good" My family didn't believe me, put up a ad from like 10 years ago. Not a single line of dialogue, just the noises and it driving around a city all crazy. They were like "oh.... That was good"
Throughout history Chrysler did a lot of mistakes and faced a couple of difficult times. But I think this is the most shameful and ridiculous moment in Mopar history...I believe that not even the late 70s during the crisis and the release of the K-Cars, Mopar enthusiasts were so upset like right now. Seen this EV trash called a Charger, carrying all Mopar names from the past, seen what Ford is doing with the Mustang and GM with the new Corvette, as a Mopar guy, I feel this is humiliating. I would prefer that they kept the old platform unchanged. I live in Brazil, and seeing Fiats, Citroëns and Peugeots with Mopar decals, is just a shame.
@edwardpoe7323. You literally couldn't be more wrong and uninformed. Stellantis was purposefully tanked for wide scale political reasons. The Great Reset. Its shareholders might finally have woken up to that.....and NOW they want to make money again...but make no mistake. This "blunder" and downfall was no mistake.
Have you ever thought they want to rubbish the iconic names by going electric....? In 20 years or so peoples memories of 'muscle cars' will be that they were sh*te !
If it’s software.. it’s a right to own issue. Say you buy the lower trim model and hack YOUR vehicle to put out the top spec of the hardware. Where would that not be considered legal? 😂
All I want is a simple car with basic features that are easily repaired. Is this to much to ask. All those features add no value and no one is going to pay to repair fake shifers and exhast. This thing is a turd that needs fushing!
Why don’t they just release an EV without badging it a Charger? They really shot themselves in the foot with that one. This whole software thing, and subscription services for cars are getting ridiculous.
The more I hear about the new ReCharger (shamelessly stolen), the more I think this has to be the result of some combination of three things: 1 - They deliberately want to tank the company, 2 - Serious drug problems in marketing/management, 3 - serious mental illness in marketing/management.
that car sounds Kinda like, years ago when people put baseball cards on a bike tire to sound like a motorcycle. At least that's how I would feel driving it.
Been feeling bad for MOPAR guys for several years...this EV thing is just the cherry on top. This performance difference with software thing is going to get hacked immediately, and if they truly lock down these cars with what amounts to subscription based performance packages they are going to kill themselves as a company.
I feel ya Tony... I'm only 25 but I've been a lifelong Mopar fan, so I'm curious being that you're part of the older generation of Mopar fans, but is this what the 80's felt like as a Mopar guy? Nothing particularly exciting being released, the cars you liked being killed prior, and just an overall poor brand image seems like how the 80's get described to me by older Mopar fans. And that's how I feel about the brand currently. I want them to start building actual good cars again, something that's exciting, good looking and makes all the right sounds. I'm so tired of watching my favorite brand get destroyed by incompetent European idiots that don't have a clue how the North American market works and don't have a clue what it wants, and the fact that they've killed everything good that the brand had to offer makes me so mad, because now that I'm at an age where I'm making decent money and can afford one of the cool cars they had to offer, they're no longer in production and it's replacement is whatever the hell this thing is... Yeah... hard pass! You're right Tony, this is an embarrassment. I'm not part of the old school Mopar clan, just because I wasn't there, but I'm doing my best to keep it alive. Currently I'm in the process of 392 hemi swapping my 2012 Ram 1500, and I'm building a chassis and redoing the suspension on my 79 Volare Duster drag car that's powered by a built small block and backed by a 904. And because that's the Mopar I know, I too am embarrassed by this. My GM and Blue Oval friends have already been teasing me about it haha. Dodge really needs to get it together, but hopefully now that that dirt lump Tavares is gone we can get back to our regularly scheduled Mopar program haha.
I remember that the 80's brought us the Dodge Charger Daytona 024. So there's that. And they had a compact Mitsubishi built Challenger around 1980. It was just a name then and now. I don't expect the brand to be around much longer. Which is sad. Difficult to find any new two door vehicles around any more.
The fake engine sound in the Charger, is like attaching a playing card to your bicycle fork to make your bike sound like a motor. Lol
Remember the “ Vroooom” engine sound for a bicycle ?
Yeah, I did that when I was ten! But then I was only ten.
Never heard it said that way, but totally on point.
Putting a baseball card on a bicycle is way cooler! 😂
Absolutely!
I've never experienced a time-line where people who are in charge, have absolutely no business being in charge of anything, like I've experienced over the last couple years.
They make The Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight, look like The Charge Of The Light Brigade!
Absolutely... it's beyond it All, world is in trouble with certain people being where they are.
The dumbing down of society
We must have gone to different school districts 😂
When majority shareholders call the shots.
Calling this a Charger is like calling the Mach E a Mustang.
I would love to have a SUV version of the Mach E body, but with a 5 liter engine. An ICE SUV with the look of the Mustang.
I don't like electric cars either, but you have to admit that charger is a pretty good name for an EV.
Also the only vehicles Chevy/GM makes anymore that are front engine, rear wheel drive are trucks and SUVs. Chevy no longer offers anything resembling a muscle car anymore.
Well its the future like it or not thanks to tree huggers and stupid regulations which are all poised for nothing but EV bullshit! its what you get!
You ever see the munroe group check out the Mach e vs the tesla.. the had "notes" for days on how ford's design by committee has made the Mach e... 😂

Fake exhaust, fake shifter, what is wrong with the management at Stellantis do they have no vision or do they think this will appease buyers ? No way would I ever spend my money on this crap.
This fiasco is a direct result of voting for free market hating Democrats.
You build that, and people won't care about the shifter or what it sounds like
Stellantis reads sites like this and takes you for as dumb as you sound. It's only fair...

Who in their right mind is going to be buying these EVs when they start showing up as used cars. Not me. When my washing machine starts making noise out to the curb it goes.
You can find used EV's 6 months old, 1 year old at half the original price and I'm still not interested
Some people buy purely on aesthetics. Think people that buy 4 cylinder mustangs. That type of person would buy new or used.
At least you can attempt a repair with the washing machine.
When that battery pack is 10 years old the thing is done. Junk. Plenty of conventional cars have many miles left at that point.
Bruh you can’t fix a washing machine?
What urks me is the use of old names and badges, like calling the gas version the Six Pack despite it being a I6. Its absolute bull.
Well six pack was always stupid on a fuel injected car, now it's even dumber.
the australian valiant charger had a six pack on an i6 and was a well regarded performance car famous for being able to beat v8s. But something tells me they werent digging deep into MOPAR heritage to reference the Australian market when they chose that name.
20k extra to get a software upgrade that's already programmed in??

Yep, those new Mustangs are nasty

Other manufacturers are using a similar strategy. It's despicable.
This video is probably your greatest modern work... Bravo Sir... Cannot be said any better.
Hell no!
Haas sells garbage anyways
How much would it cost to design, code, prototype, test and manufacture different controllers for each option?

The more I hear about the new ReCharger (shamelessly stolen), the more I think this has to be the result of some combination of three things: 1 - They deliberately want to tank the company, 2 - Serious drug problems in marketing/management, 3 - serious mental illness in marketing/management.
Uncle Tony's Garage Friend keep up the great work !!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸💪💪👍👍👍
that car sounds Kinda like, years ago when people put baseball cards on a bike tire to sound like a motorcycle. At least that's how I would feel driving it.
Love when you talk about stuff like this, first of all you're so funny and you say it like it is. 😂
🎄☃️🎅🏻🍻
70K and no hemi? That is a Retarger
I drove a cyber truck today, so much fun to drive, the dumpster comparison made me laugh because I can see it happening. Love your videos.
The software thing caught my attention as well. They are charging extra $$ to essentially press a button to "unlock" the power the car already has...
Been feeling bad for MOPAR guys for several years...this EV thing is just the cherry on top. This performance difference with software thing is going to get hacked immediately, and if they truly lock down these cars with what amounts to subscription based performance packages they are going to kill themselves as a company.
Too right. People pay enough to go fast, without this new marketing garbage.
Just trotting this thing out to the public is fatal for the brand...
Elite CEOs thinking they know what muscle car guys want. Stelantis, big swing and a miss
Elite CEOs are Ai now
I remember that the 80's brought us the Dodge Charger Daytona 024. So there's that. And they had a compact Mitsubishi built Challenger around 1980. It was just a name then and now. I don't expect the brand to be around much longer. Which is sad. Difficult to find any new two door vehicles around any more.
I just noticed that slick question too and it was like ha ha Rich got him on his words. I bet that guy gets fired after Christmas.
Merry Christmas Tony
