Reminds me of my uncle chopping hay when I was a kid in Northern Michigan. Thanks Jason!
Very cool. I have always enjoyed watching hay chopping. What did your uncle run?
@@bigtractorpower They ran Allis tractor and New Holland choppers, haybines, rakes and balers for the longest. They have since gone to New Holland tractors, I think they have had a few other brands.
@@markreetz1001 very cool. Allot of Sperry New Holland brochures had AC tractors on the equipment.
I love these two distinct ways to avoid buying a forage harvester.
One way is to just buy a pull-type and the other is to buy a loading wagon with knives inside.
Excellent video big T 👍👍👍
Looks nice in Challenger colours. Cool drone action as well 👍👍👍
Love that chopping sound
Glad to see a Challenger Verson in the field.
The trailed choppers are very cool👍😁 the challenger and the versatile are both nice looking tractors👍😉 thanks for sharing Jason👍👍
Good looking equipment, gettin er done 🇺🇸
Always enjoy watching this being done. Beautiful countryside as well. Thanks Jason.
That looks like fun. Nice video.
Thank youjason for this video
It nice to see pull type forage harvesters still working yet today.
I ENJOY EVREY ONE OF YOUR VIDEOS
I’d love to see more of these Dion harvesters working
Super💯video. As always.
Keep the video's coming. My friend.
Xe ngon rượu ngon Việt Nam đây mấy ông già 🇻🇳🚜❤
Started restoring a New Holland 880 pull type chopper for our beef farm to chop alfalfa and grass mixes, keen to put it behind my Ford 8730
Great video ❤❤❤
SP FH's are very cool and great to watch, but the old school way is even more appealing to me, even if it is more modern equipment doing it.
Forage harvesters are cool, and as awesome as the self propelled units are, watching a tractor pull a chopper has that retro charm, even when the equipment is basically new. Thanks for another great video, Jason!

Beutifull scenery Jason!!
Beautiful countryside. Do they also do any corn with that same setup? Would be cool to see that for sure. Great video as always.
They also chop corn.
Great awesome video jason

I’ve never witnessed this style of harvesting crops .

Hello everyone great new vidéo starting and great equipement i love this this is a great equipement for silage alfalfa haylage with a farmer friend in France i use a john deere 4630 with john deere chopper with a 2.5 meter forage pick-up and 4 john deere 716a
Hi from Dexter🏠Missouri
Hello! Too large tractor for such a light task! Awesome scenery...
Maybe so but it's making short work of chopping that field. I bet they have a row crop head for that chopper and if it's a Kemper type head probably handles 3 or 4 rows of corn and makes that tractor bark a little.
Did you see the hills? Needs the weight and power to keep the chopper from taking him for a ride!
I think that type of harvester is rated for at least 300 horsepower and you still have to be able to pull it and the wagon.
@@curtiswolf313 Understood. Thanks.
@@mfreund15448 Safety first! Thanks.

Wonderful video. Beautiful field. Love the forage harvests. Not familiar with that brand of chopper.
It's always cool to see equipment that I am much less familiar with.
These new pieces of equipment are awesome but outrageous cost 😢
Pretty cool for a $100k or so chopper
It’s a great choice for producers that can’t justify a self propelled but want higher capacity than your normal pull types.
Thanks for posting 😊
didnt know they went from trucks to tractors, only heard they went bust
Overpowered??
Yes.
Not really those scorpion can take 350 on pto you won't get that proformence from any other brand
Overkill on that harvester... 😮
How so? You seen the horsepower of the self propelled forage harvesters?
@@Zero01k That don't matter.. This is a tillage tractor. Most tractors running a chopper like that in my part of the world are under 200 HP which is plenty.. That tractor is near 500.
@@265justy1038 is 396 horsepower, not 500. As for overkill, you gotta work with what you have available, not worth buying a separate small machine for this.
I thought he said it was 350 on the pto. If I paid that much for a tractor I’d want it to do as many tasks as possible around the farm. Besides that chopper can take it.
@@andylieffring3987 If... if you payed that much fir a tractor.. But would you on dairy farm?? As I said.. It's a tractor for tillage work.
Were they puting it in the silo?
Darlington wi actually
Hey , you will have to practise your french prononciation to say BEAUVAIS not bovoo😅
Though "Marktoberdorf" was pretty much flawless😅
Looks better yellow than Fendt green
It is too bad Challenger retired in 2021.
