This has to be one of the best endings in any videogame. I'ts not epic or ad, it's really satisfactory to see how it all comes toghether. The credits here deserve more praise. The music combined with the visuals is essentially the kind of clip show you would see in the final episode of some TV series you've been following from the beginning. Through the ups and the downs, you pushed through, helping Mario save Peach and experienced a grand adventure through many memorable locations with faces you'll never forget. It perfectly makes you emotionally attached to each level and the worlds you explored like, despite the crazy enemies and dangerous hazards, you feel a personal connection to it all. And at 4:30 when Mario and his friends are wishing you farewell, you're sad to see the adventure come to a close. Part of the journey is the end. But it's a journey that will stick with you til the end of time....thank you so much for playing your game? No. Thank you, Mario, for letting me experience it.

I wasnt even born at that time.
Why did they play this when someone died?
@@dragorn3212 for an adventure's end, called life
No, thank _you_ so much for voicing my childhood, Charles.
That ending theme is just so good, definitely my favorite song in the game.
Tears every time I listen this music, always. I was seven back then and always played it with my brother. This game is my childhood and I love it.
IM CRYING, AND ITS NOT EVEN NOSTALGIA THAT GOT ME, ITS THE FACT THIS GAME JUST ENDED :(
Same
Same 😢
Both for me
Same
But not end of the fun
So long Charles, we’re happy we had you and we loved your role as Mario! Thank you so much for letting us play your game.
Thank you for everything, Charles. We’ll miss you voicing our favourite plumber forever.
*_Charles Martinet, you're a legend! Hold the torch up high, we celebrate your career! And even though an era comes to an end, all the hearts your voice have touched will still give a hearty cheer!_*
Thank you for the 31 years you created our childhoods, Martinet. We all wish you good luck as the Super Mario Ambassador.
To our friend, Charles, who gave four plumbers their voices and a kingdom it’s soul, we will be forever grateful.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR TO PLAYING MY GAME
Farewell, Charles Martinet. Thank you so much for being on the Mario franchise ❤
“Thank you so much for to playing my game” no mario, thank you for giving me a childhood.
Well said. ⭐️
"Faces you will never forget" *Looks behind Peach and Mario on the end screen* mmmmm...
I do like the camera movement as if a professional DP worked on this ending.
some of faces you will never forget:creepy pokey thwomp and especially 64 bit mario
the song is my favorite Mario song, not just for 64, but for the WHOLE FRANCHISE
The meaning of nostalgia
thanks charles, for giving us all the voice we grew up on. whether it was the 90’s or the 2000’s, you were the voice of our italian plumber. and even though he’s stopped doing so, he will live on forever in our hearts. new or old, we can all agree. #thankyoucharles
I want to get back to that old awesome times :'(
ME TOO!!!!
if you want to get back go make time machine/time travel yourself lol

Everytime I hear this music. See these credits. I get teary eyed. It always takes me back to when I was a kid and beat this for the first time and seeing everything I did in this amazing adventure.
The Golden Hawaiian Swordsman Dragon greatly agrees as well!🥰🥰🥰
Farewell charles
Come September 29 for North America (June 23rd for Japan and March 1, 1997), 3D Mario games will be 25 years old. Below is a video I made to celebrate 25 years of 3D Mario platformers by putting all bosses from the 3D series all into one video.

Damn man, 25 years. Where does the time go ?
When that music starts playing and Mario looks back at the camera as if to say "Thank you..." *CHILLS*
my dad and i, and outmr family used to play mario 64, laughing, being happy. he loved mario!
now my dad is gone and all i have is this song to remind me of him. r.i.p dad. love you!
Sorry for your loss, remember the beautiful days and keep on going.
Seeing this after finding out that Mario’s original voice actor won’t be playing him anymore is sad
:')
Very nostalgic in mario galaxy
*Lays down*
*Tries not to cry*
*Cries a lot*
The fact that Mario said "here we go!" When Peach kissed him was so cute
I just noticed Yoshi on the rooftop right when Mario's descending, right before the star reveals Peach, and right when Peach slowly descends, you can see him again very briefly. It's weird he'd be found animated on the rooftop during the ending sequence.
I know that. I just meant that I'm surprised he'd be up there anyway during a video sequence.
0:27 there he is!
Farewell Charles Martinet 😞😞❤️
Thank you so much for playing my game!!!
This game was such a special milestone in my childhood that every time I see it I start to cry with happiness Thanks Nintendo for this game
I remember beating this game for the fisrt time ever... It was truly a great experience. And this game stays close to me until this day. This game was basically my whole childhood...
After all these years of my gaming life, my memories with this game will never die down. And being my first game ever, I tear up out of nostalgia at this masterpiece’s ending (especially what with its wonderful credits theme). 😭😭
Thank-a-you-so-much Charles Martinet!! ❤❤😢
Este ending junto con el de mario kart 64, fueron unos de los pocos que me sacaron una lagrima :,)
Yo si lloré:(
greatest single fucking game ever made.
one complete package with an IMMEASURABLE impact on EVERY aspect of the video game industry that came after.
I remember the summer of 1997 when I first laid my eyes on Super Mario 64. It was the first time I'd ever seen a video game and was so taken away by the bright colors and Mario's funny acrobatics. It was another year before I actually acquired an N64 and then November 1998 is when I first saw this. Such a delightfully happy scene. Thank you Nintendo.
*Today is June 23rd, 2021, which marks the 25th anniversary of the release of Super Mario 64.*
I never played the game as I was born on August 26th, 2002, but I've heard of it and I've seen people's comments about their memories and I've seen gameplay of it.
*"Thank you so much for-a-playing my game!"*
- Mario, Super Mario 64, Nintendo 64 (1996)
A few years ago, my younger sister saw me playing the wii u virtual console version of SM64 and after beating Ultimate Bowser and restoring Peach she started crying as Princess Peach started to appear and descend to Mario after asking why she was crying she told me that that was most beatiful thing she had seen
I always cried whenever I finished this great game, thanks for the nostalgia's comeback
He retired. In the words of Charles Marilnet, "Thank you so much for playing my game!"
