Luke is almost glaring at the back of Noah's head the whole time. He like *I dare you to go through with this Noah, I swear to God*. Noah's trying his best to ignore him and look at Ameera. Lmao
And why the hell are they acting like this is a real wedding. The priest is gone! And sup with that grandma speech about love between ameera and noah?? Very uncalled for!
Thanks so much for putting this up it is much easier to watch the show on here then it is to tape it just to find the Luke and Noah scenes so keep please keep up the great work :-)
Am I the only one that cried (of sadness) during the wedding?? That is such a messed up situation. Luke's eyes almost killed me. I mean, he couldn't have said it better if he had actually used words. Van's acting skills: spot on, once again.
That last scene made the whole thing bareble, but it is the only part I ever want to rewatch from this part. The rest of these wedding scenes I never want to see again... :( I barely made it through the first time! Poor Luke! (And Noah ;)) Thanks for posting as always!
The first shot of Luke's face when he's standing behind Noah. =( Luke's expression just got more heartbroken as he kept looking at Noah. He doesn't want this and hates that Noah isn't in that position with him. The 'speak now or forever hold your peace' made Luke look down...Luke's words...God they made me cry. Noah knows they were from Luke to him and meant for Luke in return...'I will' Luke's head jerked up. Handing the ring...Cheek kiss! Luke wasn't about to let them kiss! Prayer! L/N: -Look-
I tried watching it without the sound -- amazing how everyone conveys so much with just a glance, a touch, a smile. Great stuff. I can't get enough of Luke and Noah and just want to see them happy and together. And, of course, kissing more often!!! Maybe also see them eventually adopt and raise a kid or two or three. I think they'd make great parents and be a wonderful part of the Snyder brood. Maybe we'll see that storyline by 2015..by which Luke and Noah will have kissed at least 2 more times!
I love how they sneak a peek at each other during prayers, so cute. Luke looks like he is in such agonizing pain, and Ameera looks to damn happy. I hope that Noah and Luke do get married and they could adopt a cute little baby...as long as it's not from Iraq!
My stomach was doing flip-flops the entire seven minutes. It was unbearably painful to watch. The look on Luke's face, the way he hovers so close to Noah's shoulder the entire time.... it's heartbreaking, it really is. They deserve to be happy. Together,
It is INCREDIBLY sweet of Noah to do this for Ameera. This is a BIG step to make just to avoid deportion. Man, I so wish that I had friends as amazing as Noah! WOW! I'm still wiggin out about this whole thing. Ameera seems like a nice girl and all, but that aside, she's causing major issues here so I just can't wait until she's out the picture and Luke and Noah can be back together again.
Bingo. I agree, Thannyr, that during the whole wedding all I can see is the incredible love between Luke and Noah. There's that great moment when Noah is reading the words Luke wrote and hesitates slightly and looks back at Luke. Their love is palpable -- it was just as Holden said: "There's a whole lotta love in this room."
I don't watch daytime drama series but now I'm hooked. I wish the networks will continue having story lines like this. I'm sure there is a market for this kind of story. At least I know I am.
7:11 'I still hope that one day we'll have one of those with our names on it' 'You and me both' 'You promise?' 'I do' *smiles* *fangirls like crazy* :))
Thank you for your final sentence emptivestrike. I really appreciate your expression of empathy. This storyline -- and the skittishness around Nuke kissing -- is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of frustrations. For example: On March 11 I was able to get my partner covered by my company's health insurance. People who've always had this option cannot fathom how much something so basic means so much.
The next episode is great. No comments allowed though. But I think it's interesting how Nukes story is getting mixed in with the other characters, eg Casey as it adds to variety and a more interesting storyline, and brings out the fact that Noah has to act in a certain way in public - which is part of where the fun is in this kind of soap.
I like this storyline, because it is reality. it etches out the issues surrounding domestic partnership these days. and that bigotry can be universal and come in many forms. I think that was part of the point of this story line. and it was also to show how wrong it is that two people who truly love can be denied something, that one of them can turn around and participate in without sincerity.
I whole-heartedly agree with sobelius in saying that the writers did a good thing by making Nuke so sensitive and sweet-the emotion in their relationship is always moving-but I can't bring myself to deny that this storyline is arriving at a very dark place with Ameera. Besides, it's really painful to see that they will probably always be lacking in the physical side of their relationship, making it much less realistic. Grr. But I won't leave this story cause you gotta have hope! :)
I completely agree with your theory about the connection the writers are trying to make. Not sure though if I I'm giving them too much credit or just being naive...
I can't stand the whole storyline with Ameera. (w/out spoiling, I'm so glad Luke and Noah are where they are now.) I'd rather see Noah and Luke get married, but the ending scene (7:10~7:28)was perfect. Luke: Do you promise? Noah: I Do *sweetest hug ever*
OMG! a part of me just died after that speech :'( i can't see that hurt expression on luke anymore! it's killing me... i almost cried! and the kiss part...i literally stopped breathing!
Although I would like to see Luke and Noah get the physical connection air time they deserve, this storyline paints the characters as sensitive to the treatment of someone who is "different". Which makes sense given how they (we) as gays are often treated by those different from us. Yes, this storyline could have been written with one of the men in an hetero couple marrying Ameera, but the writers, IMHO, made Luke and Noah even more interesting by showing their empathy for someone who needs help
The vows were clearly written from Luke to Noah, meant to him in return. Noah knew that. When Noah and Ameera cut the cake, Luke had to look away. This is KILLING him! 'I still hope that one day we'll have one of those with our names on it' 'You and me both' 'Do you promise' 'I do' =) THe only way Luke can get through this is to know that Noah is still his. Forever and always even if they can't show it. Such a hug...GOD DAMN IT WHY DID AMEERA HAVE TO COME IN!? She's cause Luke more pain...
(continued) The only other men who focus on Ameera are trying to sleep with her or harm her. Luke and Noah exhibit tolerance, empathy, self-sacrifice, etc. (Almost too saintly.) The gay men I know are not all looking to get laid or get into a relationship as soon as possible -- many of them have the qualities I see in Nuke. Most representations of gay men tend to show us as sex-starved/crazed with little regard for the suffering of others. Cheers to ATWT for putting Nuke in such a good light.
my heart breaks for poor luke. seeing the man you love standing there saying the vows that he is supposed to say to you and being married to a different person when it should've been you there holding his hand :'( and looking into his eyes . and you know what the worse part is? you can't do anything about it because deep down inside you know your boyfriend is doing the right thing.
The story of Noah's and Ameera's wedding is artful. At the time this episode was made there was a great debate happening around same-sex marriage. Those opposed to it claimed they were defending the "sanctity of marriage". But which of Noah's relationships more resembles a real marriage? His relationship with his new wife? Or his relationship with Luke? Are the defendants of "traditional marriage" going to defend Noah's marriage because it meets the "one man, one woman" criteria?
Thanks LUKEVANFAN.Luke and Noah are great! It is true that by trying to make everybody happy, the writers are making no one happy. Imagine if ATWT received the 1,150,000 viewers that have viewed their first kiss?Because of Luke and Noah ATWT ratings are UP,so give the fans what they deserve and treat NUKE fairly, like all the other couples on the show! I am getting anoyed and BORED! And as a STRAIGHT, MARRIED WOMAN, I speak for tons of Luke and Noah fans...WE WANT MORE! They are great!LET EM KISS!
oh i want to hug luke, and damn the writers for noah marriage vows . those words are meant for luke only, oh please i cant take it anymore, i wont this storyline to end fast. and the boys back as a couple.
ameera just got a cheek kiss from noah, which we haven't even seen luke get in so many episodes. i thought the way noah said 'i do' to luke in the end seemed really sweet. much better than that "i will" crap at the wedding. sure 'i do' is a bit trite, but it's also classic. =]
Oh man...I'm so damn sad because of this... Well yes...Noah is such a great person for saving Ameera in the first place, but in the other hand we have Luke....I couldn't imagine me in his place....that must be sooo sad...so frustrating, seeing your boyfriend marrying someone else :'( It's a good act, but it sucks! :S
thank GOD that kiss was only on the cheek. i was like "uh-uh! after all these months with no Nuke action we're gonna see Noah kiss HER!?" jeez... if that had happened i'd have one busted up computer right now.
Why is everyone treating this like a real wedding - preparing a special dinner, congratulating Noah and Ameera, Emma saying Ameera deserves a special wedding or whatever in Part 145, etc.? Are they trying to break Luke's heart even more? This is horrible. On the plus side, Noah gives Luke such a beautiful smile after saying "I do" in the end. I hope they do get their own wedding one day.
I just cant help but notice... when aaron left... he took the stairs to leave?? instead of the front door... Lol the writers have made a lot of errors and additions to the script *cough* ameera *cough* but the story line and love thats developing between luke and noah is so true and i can certainly feel the emotion... Love it Love it Love it =]
It happened to me. I was in love with a guy but his family couldn't deal with it. He was young(19) and had no direction in his life, so he joined the Navy. While there, he realized he could make more money if he were married. He called me and asked if it's ok with me. The girl he was marrying wanted US citizenship and it would work out for everyone. She turned the union into a real marriage, got pregnant, and now has a strangle hold on him. I lost him. I hope it works out differently for Luke.
I think that it was right to hug at the end. Luke probably would not feel like kissing noah when he's just married someone else. He has been hurting all through this episode. A kiss would make it seem like everything was ok when its not.
They made a mockery of the terms "marriage", "commitment", "love", .....the only thing good was the understated acting by Van and Jake! Thank you for posting!
Oh well, when the feds investigate, they'll ask the locals is this for real? They'll say, "Hang on there's this strange boy Noah hangs around with all the time, but hang on, they never kiss, so it's nothing I'm sure. Good day officer"
OMG! If there wasn't a perfect moment for them to kiss before, the end of that when he basically said he'd spent the rest of his life with him, I'm thinking... needs to be puntuated with a kiss!!!
i think the do it cuz they are the Snyders after all. the friendliest, nicest family in Oakdale that don't shun anyone...i mean look at luke, hes doing this because he knows its the right thing even if it is killing him inside...its just how the family works
I still think amira (or however you spell it), is apart of some plan of the cournals. I think he knew Noah wouldn't have the heart to send her back, and the only way he could keep her is through marriage. And if he didn't marry her, well I'm sure the cournal wouldn't care, he'd just be like.. "Well your S.O.L." But ya know it's just a thought. ;D
I’m watching this in January 2018. What a freaking travesty!! This is SO WRONG! And soooo painful to watch. Why would they make a celebration and have so much preparation for this wedding? And Luke writes Noah’s vows to Ameera?! 🤦🏼♀️ Watching Luke’s heartbroken facial expressions throughout all of this just breaks my heart. NOOOOOO! 😢
"Hey, Ameera, what did you do on your wedding night?"
"Oh, I watched my husband make out with his boyfriend."
i give luke a lot of applause for being able to stand there while the love of his life is getting married to someone else. wow
Van is such a great actor. He never said a word during the wedding, but his eyes told everything.
All the reaction that Luke does in the episod.... I just want to hold him in my arms and comfort him!
It's seriously only the boys' acting abilities that keep me watching... Thanks as always for sharing!
man i feel so terribly sorry for luke this must be heart squeezing experiences , and he has been through so much already
Thanks so much for putting this up it is much easier to watch the show on here then it is to tape it just to find the Luke and Noah scenes so keep please keep up the great work :-)
i just can't help it luke's acting is just so good his eyes his motions every thing and yet the only thing he learned is love and food fair enough
i love that little grin luke and noah shared during grace tho! soo cute! cheered me up after that wedding!
Oh, that is heartbreaking! Now i am gonna cry again!
Van is an AMAZING actor! :o
I just saw a tear in Van's eyes while he was standing behind Jake.:-)
its amazing how hurt luke is alredy nd it hasnt even been a day. it shows just how much he loves luke
Oh Luke...my heart, it's weeping, I want to hug you.
Am I the only one that cried (of sadness) during the wedding?? That is such a messed up situation. Luke's eyes almost killed me. I mean, he couldn't have said it better if he had actually used words. Van's acting skills: spot on, once again.
Oh, Luke...
That must have been just heartwrenchingly painful...and, I just wanted to hug him the whole way through.
He's such a sweetheart.
this story line really makes me cry. I wish that luke and noah could continue to love each other through this
If I had to watch someone I loved marry someone else, I would be crying so hard regardless of the circumstances.
That last scene made the whole thing bareble, but it is the only part I ever want to rewatch from this part. The rest of these wedding scenes I never want to see again... :( I barely made it through the first time! Poor Luke! (And Noah ;))

Luke is the perfect height to get his chin on Noah's shoulder - makes for awesomely comfortable hugs ;)
I love how they sneak a peek at each other during prayers, so cute. Luke looks like he is in such agonizing pain, and Ameera looks to damn happy. I hope that Noah and Luke do get married and they could adopt a cute little baby...as long as it's not from Iraq!

They deserve to be happy. Together,
I just cant stand looking at Luke during this episode without bursting out in tears.. He´s so hurt :'(
3:35 - it would have been BRILLIANT if Noah had 'accidentally' set the marriage certificate on fire with that candle... heh!
It is INCREDIBLY sweet of Noah to do this for Ameera. This is a BIG step to make just to avoid deportion. Man, I so wish that I had friends as amazing as Noah! WOW! poor Luke! Awh but that was a sweet moment at the end followed by an even sweeter hug!
I love the white headscarf it looks lovely on her :) My head would look so fugly with a headscarf lol
I love that smile to Noah in 7.22. I just melting inside when I so it
Thanks again Andy my dear, we all knew that this one was to be very hard to watch, but I did, thanks to you!! Big kiss!! No vows though!!
I don't watch daytime drama series but now I'm hooked. I wish the networks will continue having story lines like this. I'm sure there is a market for this kind of story. At least I know I am.
luke's face omfg
Crying. This is not okay. So many flaws. No.
Not okay not okay not okay.
And a fucking hug to end it. A hug.
7:11
'I still hope that one day we'll have one of those with our names on it'
'You and me both'
'You promise?'
'I do'
*smiles* *fangirls like crazy* :))
Noah is looking mighty adorable I must say!!
wow, that was fast, I'd like every wedding be like that one lol
Poor Luke! It's the first time I cry of sadness watching a wedding, instead of happiness... :'(

that "I will" from Noah was just a cold knife stabbed in Luke's heart.
I like this storyline, because it is reality. it etches out the issues surrounding domestic partnership these days. and that bigotry can be universal and come in many forms. lol shes ganna catch on firestanding so close to that candle
haha I love how at 1:17 the minister screwed Ameera's name: "Ameera Aliizzz err Aziz"
With that candle right there, I was hoping it would tip over and burn that marriage license.
Although I would like to see Luke and Noah get the physical connection air time they deserve, this storyline paints the characters as sensitive to the treatment of someone who is "different". Am I the only one who is watching this in 2016
no
+Maddy Hocker You are not alone ;)
nope
+Maddy Hocker
You are not the only one. ;0) I also am. And I can't believe this is happening! Marrying her? Gee... What's that all about?
i'm watching this in October 2016...........in the UK.
my heart breaks for poor luke. seeing the man you love standing there saying the vows that he is supposed to say to you and being married to a different person when it should've been you there holding his hand :'( and looking into his eyes . and you know what the worse part is? you can't do anything about it because deep down inside you know your boyfriend is doing the right thing.

this is the saddest thing ever.. you can totally see how much this is just destroying luke on the inside
oh luke.........i feel so sad at his face during the wedding :`(

I think we all can imagine Luke's pain in that moment.
only kiss that Ameera on cheek. Very clever, Noah! I love you more....
Noah's dad must be happy.
Ouch. It triggered me
Hey we're people too and you can accept our us or not, but it doesn't change who we are!
:o)
I love your comment, it's pretty good!
Haha I love when the guy marrying them screws up Ameeras name. Aleez Aziz. :P I'm just heartbroken at Luke's face throughout the whole experience.
ugh during my wedding im gonna be so impatient! its just a bunch of repeating!
poor luke :(
ameera just got a cheek kiss from noah, which we haven't even seen luke get in so many episodes.
i thought the way noah said 'i do' to luke in the end seemed really sweet.
much better than that "i will" crap at the wedding. sure 'i do' is a bit trite, but it's also classic.
=]
it must be sooo painful for luke to have noah reading the words that he wrote for him being said to ameera! so painful! im like crying right now!
yeah i totally shed some tears of sadness for luke and noah!
Poor Luke. :[
Watching him is just heartbreaking.
Yeah..sure Ameera and Noah can kiss -___________- LUKE..SPEAK UP..YOU COWARD .-.
Oh and I love how Noah looks at Luke
2:30 OMG. Luke is breaking my heart. He's so like, 'DAMMIT! That should be me!!'
Oh man...I'm so damn sad because of this...
Well yes...Noah is such a great person for saving Ameera in the first place, but in the other hand we have Luke....I couldn't imagine me in his place....that must be sooo sad...so frustrating, seeing your boyfriend marrying someone else
:'(
It's a good act, but it sucks!
:S
priest/ bishop: Speak now or forever hold their peace.
me: I OBJECT! (but of course they never listen to me...)
thank GOD that kiss was only on the cheek. i was like "uh-uh! after all these months with no Nuke action we're gonna see Noah kiss HER!?" jeez... if that had happened i'd have one busted up computer right now.
Why is everyone treating this like a real wedding - preparing a special dinner, congratulating Noah and Ameera, Emma saying Ameera deserves a special wedding or whatever in Part 145, etc.? I just cant help but notice... when aaron left... he took the stairs to leave?? instead of the front door... Lol the writers have made a lot of errors and additions to the script *cough* ameera *cough* but the story line and love thats developing between luke and noah is so true and i can certainly feel the emotion... Love it Love it Love it =]
i cried my eyes out when noah said i will!!!! waaaaahh!!
aww~the ending was so sweet.. =)

Poor Luke :( I could cry now :S
But,I love you LUKE xD and Noah too...:D
:( I'm waitinf for Luke to break down in tears. He looks SOOO sad!
grandma should have kept it real and made some mac n cheese and pigs in the blanket
Grandma Snyder is the coolest old lady ever.
I still think amira (or however you spell it), is apart of some plan of the cournals. ;D
OMG I'm shaking. I think I'm gonna pass out
Oh! How I wish the candle at 3:38 would have just burnt the marriage certificate!
I luv the ending!
i cryed at the wedding sence poor luke
This crap is taking over my life! ;( I can't remember the last time I ate or used the bathroom! ;P Soooo addicting!
I started to cry at 2:06 because luke looked so sad. :(
I’m watching this in January 2018. NOOOOOO! 😢
brothers snd sisters had one.. but thats not daytim *sigh*. i completely agree with you.
