Congrats and good luck! You are very beautiful and look really cute in scrubs. I saw your Pap smear short with scrubs tucked in and it made your figure look really cute. But I saw you in one around that time before this pregnancy and the scrubs look just as cute on you untucked. You bring a nurse makes you special because I have been in the hospital and the kindness of nurses and staff made me feel better and made a big difference in my recovery.
I see a lot of pregnant people talking about eating a certain way to help pass the tests. Is it possible to "cheat" the test by eating low carb ahead of time?
I modified my diet & failed the test (not by a crazy amount) I also developed and insulin resistance (despite diet modification) and would up using insulin 😅
It's not good to "cheat" the test because if you do have insulin problems they need to be addressed. But I'm pretty sure if you actually have gestational diabetes you aren't going to be able to "cheat" the results.
I was told a minimal amount of carbs is what would be best for the test, that this wasn’t the time to consume a pop tart or cheerios LOL. I ate sausage and scrambled eggs (still a usual breakfast for me when I had time to make it) and water before my test, though I had no issues with blood sugar to begin with.
Pregnant women* you need to eat a good amount of protein before the test and after to help keep blood sugars as stable as possible. You shouldn't be looking to cheat. Overall, optimal health is gained from consistent good practices with food every single day over time.
I'm not looking to cheat the test. I passed mine. I'm asking because the sentiment I am reading in online forums is that eating low carb helps people pass the test and I was wondering If that was "cheating"
@@jenniferdeanne6725 yes if you are under the care of a medical professional. Usually you just do a 1 hour test at the end of your 2nd trimester/beginning of your 3rd trimester unless you have other risk factors. Anyone can develop gestational diabetes so that's why every one is screened.
Hii, Good morning I really love your videos and I want to become an ob-gyn but i am a bit confused, it is possible for someone to become an ob-gyn nurse

Does that mean you modified your diet( low carb/ diabetic ) from 24 weeks till you would have the 3 hour glucose test at 3rd trimester?
Is this done for everyone?
