Beautifully done! Great attention to dynamics. It's my favorite Tchaikovski song, particularly when sung by a rich lyric baritone.

Back in the 1940's, a music critic wrote that some of Tchaikovsky's best passages lie buried in impossible operas. This aria is perhaps the most excellent example! It also reveals - apart from Ms. Peretyatko's magical singing - how marvelous Tchaikovsky's art of instrumentation is! Compare this piano arrangement with Tchaikovsky's original score: it's a completely different world!

This aria is absolutely gorgeous. Beautifully sung. Does anybody know where I can find the score ? I’m French and don’t speak Russian and it’s very difficult to find other than on imslp with no translation under the russian. I would be extremely grateful!
