It looks like a James Bond's car!
It is very stylish
It's a beautiful shape.
Some really like it, others not so much
This is the Ora Lightning cat, it's been out for quite a while in China.
Thanks Marcel. Not sure we'll get that name in Europe
Think they're going with the next car in Europe. Watched a video while back which was in a purple colour and looked really nice
Ora 007
Definitely has that Porsche design language as you mentioned once I saw the side profile. Wonder what Porsche thinks mind you as it's been so long doubt the trademark even exists any more if it did to start with for that design.
Imitation is the highest form of flattery right?
Lovely car with plenty of Porsche styling cues going on there. Maybe a hint of Bentley in there too with those tail lights. When is it coming to Ireland?
Hopefully press cars by end of year and really it will be a '24 model
Es increíble este AUTO. Innovador, no esperaba tanto al inicio de él, pero una vez que investigas te das CUENTA de lo grandioso que es👍
Name to be announced in Rome in a few weeks I believe. Thanks for the comment
Remind anyone of the Jag used by Elton John on an album cover? (a long time ago)
Would prefer a hatchback.
Love getting an early view of what is out there.
Keep up the good work
Des
Thanks Des. It's definitely going to be something different on the road
Hopefully the interior finish will be better than the funky cat, where I found plastic cabin parts which could and did scratch my skin.
Derek, you said the vehicle has "electronic" seats, implying there's some circuitry there in addition to on/off rocker switches. It would be useful to know how many memory settings your review cars have for the driver's seat. Too many cars feature basic "electric" seat adjustment without the electronic memory circuit just for show room appeal and I think the extra cost and weight of seat motors without a memory circuit offers little real world benefit.
Will try and mention it moving forward Russ.
I like the interior ❤️
Definitely stylish. Thanks for the comment
Love it!!
Glad you like it!
Quite a few funky interior design choices!
Agree!
Looks unique. Reminds me of the hyundai ioniq 6
Lots going on here from Porsche, Beetle, Mini and much more.
Indeed.
Thats one effed up frankenstein.. that Alfa Mito meets VW Beetle mix broke my brain!
Take a deep breath, sit back and take it all in 🤣
And yet... It's greater than the sum of those parts.
The Mito and Beetle are cars that I regrettably don't like the look of, but this Ora doesn't bang like that.
@@toyotaprius79 ha.. funny kid!
Looks really nice, But........ no dual cup holder in the front is a deal breaker.
A strange decision Robert. I'd say 3D printer forums already have an adapter
Not a bad looking cat and a Porsche look alike
Agree!
Looks like a modern beetle
Great compared Noel
check out the Ora Punk Cat
Like it, 50k + I'd imagine
I'm going to go with mid 40k but time will tell
Maybe too late to ask for their Ora white and black cat?
Never too late!
I'm confused, over 80kwh battery. 280 odd mile range, for a saloon car. My Kia e Niro does 260 miles real world, on a smaller battery. How is it so low for this car, or have I worked it out wrong?
I think it’s AWD and 2.3 tonnes in weight so will probably eat more ions per 100km than your Niro which is lighter and 2WD. Also the 80kw battery is more than likely a gross figure. Nett useable probably only 10kw more than your Niro.
Thanks for the reply and I agree with all your suggestions irishjg1
267 miles range on a battery this size is poor.
Porschesque dials!
Ha! I was right!
Good man Colin! Thanks for the comment
Lightning Cat in China. Grand Cat in Thailand.
I think it's dropping the cat name in Europe but yet to be confirmed
@@NevoEVReviewIreland Maybe you are right. ORA "model".
Shame on the range and the charge speeds! 0-80% in 55 mins, ouch
The charging speed is way to slow for 2023 EV. The efficiency is quite poor. On the other side it looks great.
Thanks for the comments both. It seems inefficient but AWD and overall weight may be the culprit. Charging speed low but there's a lot more 50kW chargers around and my newest local one is limited to 70kW. 80kW may not be as bad as it looks 😉
Shame about that brown..not quite sure what they where thinking there.
Lots of cars at this show had brown interiors
not a hatch, just another sedan
Correct!
A bit bubbley for me Derek
Thanks Jim. Definitely won't be for everyone but getting a good reaction
elonggated VW bug with a updated interiur?????
I like how your thinking
