unbelievable that the CF would sprint from the beginning, ultimate hustle play from BOTH guys
The ol’ 7-8 putout.
I had the good fortune of seeing it in person. I had my high school team there attending the game. Great play by both players.
Imagine being the batter and having your home run stolen by that play. I would be both incredibly impressed and angry.
I wouldn't even be mad. That's just a great play all around. I would just give props where props are due.
Imagine being so unimaginative that you make posts like this
Angry? No... this is one of those plays that you can be bummed.. but all you can really do is tip your cap and know it took a serious webgem to take a hit away... that play is the definition of.. Above and Beyond... X2.
Great effort play by both guys!
Reminds me of cricket fielders making similar plays on the boundary!
so true. as someone who played outfield, those catches are made to look so much easier than they are. even if you do practice it, the walls and fences are all so different. if its padded, chain link or wood all play a factor. is there a proper warning track, or is it turf to turf. things like that. when it happens its almost as if you dont know how, it just happens.
During the warmup of the first game of every series, Ken Griffey Jr would pace out the warning track and size up the fences, so he would know exactly when to time his jumps. There's more to the game than batting practice!
Teamwork makes the dream work baby!!
Without the CF's effort from the get go, that play is a double. Fantastic teamwork!
Amazing play!
Teamwork at it's finest
Sweet!!
Beautiful
Amazing! If I saw this is a movie like 'Major League', I would literally roll my eyes and think of how cheesy Hollywood had gotten...but to do this for real in a game blows me away! Great job by these two outfielders!!! Go Golden Grizzlies!!!! (my wife's Alma mater 😁)
Wow!
What up Matt!
This would make the all time greatest plays reel
The highlight made it to the MLB app.
At first, I thought the title was your standard “clickbait” - But DAMN!! That was NICE!!!!
"[Y]our standard clickbait." That could be interpreted as an accusation. If Antonelli were to clickbait, I'd be long gone from here. (Maybe now, he'll start)
Go Grizzlies!
Amazing play, but was this filmed with a potato?
Score that a 7-8 FO I guess?
In my book, with an asterisk.
lol…..WOW, very athletic play 👍
how do you score this? 7-8 FO? just 8?
7-8 FO
I agree that this is one of the best HR robberies I have ever seen, it did land #1 on ESPN's Play of the Day. I would think it is in the running now for Play of the Year at the ESPY's in July. This play from 80 World Series is reminiscent. th-cam.com/video/t2uGm6XEbLQ/w-d-xo.htmlsi=1eyBsgY9ZtMIe_To
That should count for a double play :)
Not going to see that agian
They’re also lucky the umpires saw itand didn’t say it bounced off the wall
The scorekeeper is still trying to figure this one out.
7-8 FO
That infield looks like terrible carpet all around but outfield is grass? Odd
You could not coordinate the two to do that... Kudo's to those two OF'ers... worthy of a standing O...
He didn’t jump that high. He was too busy lifting his feet to style the catch
Everything is great, but to say he jumped high. The wall is like 7.5 feet high unless these guys are 6'5, then it is still 8'0. At best that was a 2 ft vertical.
Blowing out someone else's candles doesn't make yours burn any brighter! 🤡
@@kendallevans4079 He is right, though, so your comment doesn't make any sense. The play of both outfielders is impressive, the height of the jump isn't.
@@Andreas-ni2lt You're wrong, I'M RIGHT! My comment had NOTHING to do with anything other than the fact that clown has to open his cake hole at all! Just let the play stand for what it is! He doesn't have to whip out his tape measure and start calling out dimensions (as if he knew them at all!) As for you, I bet you can't jump 3 inches unless someone lights a firecracker under your azz!
@@Andreas-ni2lt …so says you. Did you play outfield….if so, how high were the jumps you made when going back and robbing a home-run? Send a clip of your video or at least a link to the newspaper covering your spectacular play.
@@Andreas-ni2lt He's wrong and so are you. I didn't talk distance I simply said he should STFU.
I guess we'll wait for your highlight videos?
SC use to be entertaining… not anymore
