- A string of tornados and storms passed through the Southeastern US, and Berm Peak took a bit of a beating! This weekend, Alexander and I turn a downed Elm into a really fun skinny mountain bike bridge named Elm'r Fudd. This was a challenging feature to build, but it was even more challenging to ride.

Fyi, that maul was sent to me by a subscriber, and is made of some kind of hardwood. I don’t use the sledgehammer anymore because it just splits the wood before it makes it into the ground.
One time, I was building an Estonian Bunkie kit and they gave us like 5 of those and called them Shloghalzers or something. My dad and I confuse people when we call them that to this day haha

@@Diamond_79 This. It's usually a serrated, curved blade on the end, often with joints and a cord designed so you can change the angle. We used to have one of those. (Actually, might still have it, but I digress.)

Seth, I would "highly* recommend a sledgehammer to get those stakes in the ground .
Henry Blasi it is definitely easier but it can split the stake. The maul rarely does and isn’t much lighter than my 6 pound sledge.

This series has been a big inspiration. I've always wanted to build a small trail behind my house but now I've actually began working on it.

Not going to lie but the way that Seth has build all these mini tracks in his backyard is just incredible, i rememeber when he first began, they looked tiny and easy to ride, but all the new features have really uped the game. Keep up the hard work!!
Seth you NEED to make a long handled sledge for yourself. It'll drive those stakes way quicker. (Keep the head made of wood to not destroy your stakes in the process).
Right as I saw the end of the tree all I was saying was," He's building ANOTHER drama drop!!!!" then I was dissapointed
Seth, you should make a homemade rope tow. You could attach the front wheel of the bicycle to it, and the back wheel could be on the ground. You wouldn’t be able to ride on the bike but you could just walk. It’s pretty simple and there’s tons of TH-cam videos showing how.

The answer to the question “what’s that thing called where it’s like a stick with a saw on the end?” Is a pole saw. It’s called a pole saw. And they’re great. Just let me suggest you get a gas powered one. STIHL makes one
Milwaukee has a battery powered Outdoor Tool Line. One Tool but 5 different interchangeable Attachments. One of them is a Pole SAW. Combined with their 12 ah High Output battery=insane power
My kobalt battery powered pole saw is fantastic. Undercutting is important when cutting overhead limbs. Plan and clear an escape route, gravity happens quickly and 3” limb will put a hurting on a skull.
