- Thankyou for your positive comments - I worked on the design of MK in 1973~1981 and it is really nice to hear such positive comments on things we did try and achieve. :-)
Thanks for your work Roger. Unfortunately the current cohort of city planner are no so visionary and are attempting to drag the place back to ordinary.
Great video. I’ve lived in mk for almost 40 years and I love it. Your points were excellent and I hadn’t thought of the term concrete park but that’s perfect. I also like the way the original villages have been incorporated and the parks and red ways connect them so you can easily wander between and enjoy the view of the wildlife as you go.
Thanks for the video , we are planning move to Milton Keynes too, hope can meet you on someday May I ask you a question about the area of MK? Any comments on Old Bletchley ? Because we planning to move there Thanks
Hi. I’m glad that you took the time to watch my video. I hope that you subscribed to my channel too as I have more videos of the milton keynes area including things to do with the kids. The areas that you choose for your family in Milton Keynes will greatly depend on their age and schooling needs. Oakgrove school is very good, so places like middleton, broughton, woolstone are a good choice. There is also a new school in broughton gate which is relatively new so try that area too. I cant really speak for the wider MK area as we are local to the areas mentioned, and therefore bias, but if you see an area that you like and want some info about it I will gladly reply. I hope this helps Chari
Hi Miss Chari, we are moving to UK in Q1 2022. Looking for a place to settle with my husband and 2 boys. Milton keynes is on our list. Saw fairfields. Looks a good community for a family.
We didn’t regret at all when we moved here. First, we were in the Caldecotte area, it was lovely. But when family became bigger, we moved to the Broughton area. We haven’t moved anywhere since 😁. If you have kids, check the schools first…for example Oakgrove, that’s a nice area too and the school is big.
Silly comment because both had become bottlenecks long before you posted that comment. There are few things which MK does not have & they are so easily accessed.
maayos at mabuti ang ang mga dahilan mo upang mahalin si Milton Keynes... marami akong mga komentaryo sa video na ginawa mo, chari...sana mabasa mo ito sa mesenger ng fb... saludo ako sa yo...
@@thecreativemiddlescent How about bike lanes within the road? Is milton keynes family friendly and improving on moving people, not cars? if yes, Then thats a good place to go to and settle
@@thecreativemiddlescent The Redways are really good for recreational biking - much less good for commuting. There are 170 miles of Redways in Milton Keynes. Please, Please do not cycle on the grid roads! The Wikipedia article on Milton Keynes is a good read.
Boring compared to what? It is a 1/4 million population city with virtually no traffic jams, all the usual leisure facilities you would find in a town/city of its size & some less common ones too.

So honoured to hear from you. I hope the powers that be will continue your vision and continue to make Milton Keynes a joyful place to live.

Thank you for watching.
Hi,
Thanks for this video. Thinking of moving to Milton Keynes too. Which areas would you recommend for a family? Would appreciate your advice!! 😊

Thank you for watching. You can also watch my vlogs on Mindful walking around MK Parks. Places around those parks are also good.
Best things in Milton Keynes are the M1 and A5 roads heading away from it. You choose, all are good options.

Does milton keynes has a good cycling infrastructure?
Yes.. we love biking and there are really good places to go.

The redways are what we use for bikes.

Very sorry to desagree, i believe milton Keynes is very boring.
It depends actually on your interests.
