There used to be a rule that no building could be taller than the highest tree in MK in order not to ruin the view but they got rid of the rule and now we have buildings like the hotel la tour. Milton Keynes was built in mind of cars/transport, pedestrians, families and cyclists so there are many green spaces, redways, bridges/underpasses and roads with roundabouts. It was built between London and Birmingham due to the lack of residential space in the two places from growing population so it sits nicely on the railway line to take you directly to both places for those who had to commute to work. If you visit Scotland, look at Hadrian's Wall, then Edinburgh and St. Andrews. These destinations could result in many terrific future videos !

Another thing I would like to see with Milton Keynes is they only build detached homes. In my opinion, the UK is a nice country but let down by far too much terraced housing.
The problem with this is you get lower population density. Milton Keynes is under a lot of pressure to house the growing population, so detached housing is not ideal for that. Plus low population density is also no good for bus routes and MKs buses are pretty poor as it has to do long journeys to get enough passengers.

I’m from Miami, and yes - I can confirm this place looks like parts of some cities in the US. I think it has a lot of potential, but that ugly pyramid thing has to go.

It’s not a bad idea. I would like to see two or three more new cities in the UK built on the MK model. It will add to diversity of the landscape and also help to take some load off some other cities if we have some people move away to these new cities.
The issue is, though, that Britain isn’t as well established for an entirely motor-dependent city; many major UK cities, instead of embracing cars, have done all they can to penalise motorists and embrace public transport. A city solely meant for cars isn’t really economically viable in Europe.
@@JamezGamez1 Not sure about this. I think it’s tradition. UK tends to be a really tradition oriented nation (which is normally good but can sometimes have setbacks). Look how much hostility there was to skyscrapers in London when they were first built. Everyone said Skyscrapers are not a British thing. Today, those skyscrapers have added much to the London landscape and skyline. They are also going up quickly in places like Manchester up North because they don’t want to be left behind. I would personally likely to see them go significantly higher. As for MK, more people will move to the city as it becomes more established. I think a few more cities on the MK model will be good. I don’t want too many as it will lose the novelty, but a few will be good.

The problem with this is you get lower population density. Milton Keynes is under a lot of pressure to house the growing population, so detached housing is not ideal for that. Plus low population density is also no good for bus routes and MKs buses are pretty poor as it has to do long journeys to get enough passengers.
Is Seattle the most British city in the US. Its similar to city in the north west that rains a bit.

I would say Boston is the most British city in America. There is also a town or city in the UK called Boston. It’s near the East coast of the UK.
