It’s a gimmick. Never seen a diff between this breeding event and normal. I would have to say chances for most players would go down because it’s a way for GS to get players to buy pets and food to level up and keep breeding. If you need to level up pets fast it’s beneficial along with shortened maturation time. Been in this game since 2018 off and on, have 10 legendary wolves and 4 legendary cats and it’s all based on one’s RNG. You either have good luck consistently or bad luck consistently. Most have bad luck consistently.
