With the addition of "Scholar of the First Sin" we know Aldia is not the Ancient Dragon. The dragon is just a creation of Aldia by fusing Giant Souls and maybe Dragon Bones.
Kartik Ranjan I don't know about that. The Green Herald/Shanalotte say's the Ancient Dragon named her and that it has watched the world for aeons. If it was a creation of Aldia then it couldn't of watched the world for aeons an aeon is about a billion years but is often used to describe any massive period of time. Since the time of King Vendrick and when he ruled not to long has passed. Maybe a couple centuries upwards to a thousand years. That's way to short of a period to be considered aeons. Going by what people said about the dragon it might be a creation of the other dragons it might not be a true Dragon. It referred to it's self as we/us so it might be the collective consciousness of all the dragons taken a physical form. After all normal Ancient Dragons are much more powerful and are pretty much invincible/immortal. So going by the given information the Ancient Dragon has lived for a very very long time but is not a true Ancient dragon since it drops a giant soul and is much weaker. So it probably makes more sense that this might be the manifestation of all the dragons consciousnesses that took a physical form by using the soul of a giant.
Offstar1029 I agree but it doesn't answer why you find his soul in a memory. The other memories are from the war against the giants, and the Ancient Dragon drops a giant soul. Maybe it does that to hint that you need to go through all the giant memories in order to kill Vendrick (except the one with the dragon soul), and it doesn't have anything to do with the lore... I think the ancient dragon died somewhere way back, and Aldia created a fake one. I'm just speculating though.
Fredrik Duvek It's a lot more likely that the one Aldia created was made using various elements from either the original ancient dragon we find in the memory (and seems to now sit in Freja's cave) and some Giants or Giant souls, or it''s an accumulation of various things using a Giant soul as a catalyst to live. Also, Aldia him/herself is quite interesting. Listen to Aldia's voice through out your meetings with him and it will sometimes sound like a male, others a female, and even a child, but all together is a mix. That might be a bit of a hint to why the dragon says "us" instead of "me."
+U~Iriam It's a lot more likely that the "Ancient" dragon that's in the memory is Seath the Scaleless from DS1, since freja's the duke's pet and and Seath was the duke. Maybe Aldia just got a hold of some seath dna and has been trying to recreate him and just ended up making a dragon/giant mix.
Well I just said what I thought was the case with having only played DS2 Scholar of the First Sin on PS4. I've always been interested in the Dark Souls series, but I only ever watched some gameplay that was essentially just a whole bunch of highlights from someone's stream of DS1. But I guess now that I know that, it does actually sound like a good, solid history to it. Though I still think that multiple souls were probably used in creating the ancient dragon that we meet. It would explain the use of "Us" when it's addressing itself.

just wanted to add int, the coat of water acts as another form of flash sweat which lets you stack it on top of the actual pyro spell flash sweat. alternatively for faith builds you can use great magic barrier, which adds the same level of fire resit as flash sweat but also adds other resists in the process. and if you are able to go beyond 1000 in fire resist, that basically mean you have 100% fire resist, since the values work like that. so if you have 523 resist of whatever, that means its 52.3%. so just add in the decimal to get the actual percentage.

Actually they both have a deep seeded hatred born of anger and violence, nurtured from the deepest pits of hell raised by Satan himself in which he created the rivalry that instills fear even within himself for he dare not mention what he has created ever again.
yeah I figured that, but the idea of leading boars to a little tiny spot of grass in the middle of a random house-like thing full of spiders.. was that in the guide? or else I wouldn't have the slightest clue what to do with one of those boars
A lazy dragon with multiple people in there head that's too stationary to do anything in the world? Nothing special about that, they're everywhere on tumblr.
I pieced together myself that the "Ancient Dragon" was nothing of the sort, but how in the world do you figure that it's Aldia himself? I watched and rewatched this part of the video in addition to doing some looking up of my own, and nothing points to the fake dragon being Aldia. It's just as likely that it's a "successful" experiment on someone or something else. Who's to say that Aldia wasn't done in by his own creation?
very obscure but worth a mention. In DS1 there was a high pitched squeaking sound that could be heard from and only the firelink shrine bonfire. In DS2 this is at every bonfire.
tim naav There's super hard evidence that it's not actually a dragon and in fact an experiment by Aldia using a giant's soul. Not so much evidence that it's Aldia himself.
No theory is ever a fact in Dark Souls universe. The part where Lord Aldia was never seen again makes possible that Aldia "is" the dragon. But no one can assure that 100%
Nagrandt If a woman gives birth to a child and then disappears immediately after, does that make her the child? Hell, Aldia could've made the dragon and the dragon could've swallowed him.
Regarding the Ancient Dragon's use of the first person plural and your use of this dialogue to support the theory that Lord Aldia himself is part of the "sham" creature, I'd just like to point out that in the Japanese version the Dragon drops soul of giants (plural) when killed. The suffix たち (tachi) is used, making it unmistakeably the soul of multiple giants, which would easily account for the use of the first person plural without any need for Lord Aldia to be thrown into the mix. I'm not saying your theory is incorrect, but this bit of dialogue does not support it.
From Software is a Japanese company. The game was originally conceived and written in Japanese and translated into English (quite poorly in parts) at a later date.
I know that Fromsoft is a japanese company, however the original language is still english. There are, for example, no japanese dialouges. They are English even in the japanese version, they just have subtitles in japanese.
I know that our version has English dialogue, lol, we make a lot of games the same way, it's still English translated from the original Japanese. The point is that the makers are Japanese and wrote out the story in Japanese before a third party translated it into English. The Japanese text used in the game is exactly as the creators intended, with nothing lost in translation. The Japanese text, in the case I mentioned, is clear and unmistakeable. It's no big deal though, I thought the person who made the video might be interested to know because I would have been. Lord Aldia may still be part of the Dragon or it may not. I'm not arguing against it, just passing on salient information to a person who, like myself, seems interested in understanding the various stories woven into the game :)
Tired of having money on your bankaccount? *Insert an interesting line of tex to lure in people* onehundredpercentlegitwebsite.com/12345 See how easy it is to spam shit in TH-cam.
lmao, just get back before the sinner, the place where you met lucatiel of mirrah, keep going straight from the door, take left and kill the 2 royal swordsman, then use a branch of yore on the petrified hollow, kill him and open the door behind him,get down all the stairs, then take the ladder, you'll find then the ruin sentinels on your right
From McDuff's workshop/bonfire, go up the stairs, fight 1 humpback, 2 dogs, another humpback, then cross over a stone ledge to your right. Follow the path straight into a door and open it. Here you can take two routes: Go left and basically just follow shit til you hit fog, or go straight and follow the stairs down. It's the fastest if you die and wanna try again several times. At the bottom at those stairs go left towards a big locked gate. Infront of the gate there is a ladder to your left, climb it, and turn right. You'll have your boss straight ahead.
Number one has been long since proven false. Also, i think its fairly obvious from emerald keeper's dialogue that she was the result of the experiments, even before SOTFS came out
the thing n. 1 isn't true: if you played ds 2 sotfs you know that aldia is an NPC and the final boss after nashandra, that allowed you to unlocked the dark final of dark souls 2
This video was made almost a year before SotfS was released. SotfS changed item descriptions, item locations, added new NPC, added new bosses and changed dialogue. It's not my fault a year after Dark Souls 2's release From Software said "Well... actually this is the story now." With the information of the time, this is accurate.
The dragon could also be using the word "us" to represent a sense of greater stature. Royalty, for instance, refer to themselves in the plural at times.
Great videos man, the intro its hilarious and your comments sections its full of trolls no one can be that naive to think you are serious keep up the good work
This. I'm not that great a Dark Souls player, but even I'm competent enough to tackle them alone in my playthroughs, done it now with a pure spell-caster, a heavy and a dexterous-agility based class. They have easily blocked or dodged attacks and it's a relatively simple matter to make them throw their shields to leave them defenseless. Once you beat the one on the platform, it's a relatively simple matter to get the other two together and aggro them into their heavy attacks which leave them open afterwards. Individually, they have little health and are only really a danger if you haven't a shield or have your back turned.
Jamie Krukowski exactly why even bother going all the way around when its only a two on one and it is a 2 on 2 if you summon the npc right next to the bloody fog gate
Too right, summoning that mage is a breeze as well. If you can aggro them, she absolutely hammers them with soul spears. Mind, not to detract from the overall value of these videos you've done, it's a valid point that if people are having trouble, you can skip it. A very valid point and there's things on these videos I didn't know, the spear in Doors and the fact you can damage the Chariot to the point the horse collapses on the ledge. Oh, just a side note though, you refer to the Executioner's Chariot draw as 'horses', it's just one horse with two heads, though it's just a niggling thing. Otherwise, again, great videos you've got!
He gave plenty of proof. The Giant Soul, Shalquoir, the use of the weapon descriptions, and the fact that the ancient dragon is just past ALDIA'S keep which just so happens to have mass amounts of dragons past it because Aldia is playing the "role of a false deity" as well as the description of the Guardian Dragon's soul which says that the dragons are under the control of a mysterious spell. Additionally, the drakekeep set which is found off the giant soldiers at the dragon shrine, says that the giant soldiers guarding the shrine are, suspiciously, controlled by a dark power, despite the Dragon Shrine supposedly being a holy place and the undead priestess using miracles. Also you remember that giant skeleton of dragon at the entrance of the keep? Pshhh pure speculation...
Your channel design is pretty much identical to Vaati's. It's not exactly the same content obviously, but your two most popular series are carbon copies of concept, down to the thumbnail design. You make great videos, but I wouldn't mind seeing some original concepts.
The other really compelling piece of data that suggests the Ancient Dragon is not really the Ancient Dragon is that the real one is dead. You gather its soul in a memory that you can access if you return to Duke's Dear Freja's room near the end of the game.
The last thing with the dragon to claim as a fact is pretty ballsy. There are several theories circulating around Aldia. Who is btw. that guy in Aldia's mansion? I've watched a video, stating that it might be possible, that this is Aldia, backed by really good assumptions and hints given by the quest line of that character itself. And dialogue.
well- you may also think that REAL dragon shoot magic (seath used crystal magic, and kalameet "flame" does magic damage), that "not-so-ancient-dragon" shoot fire- so, it's indeed a fake dragon and for the guy in Aldia's mansion, are you referring to Navlaan? because i have a theory that he could be the hexer Gilleah: from what we know "The heretic Navlaan was executed along with his entire village, and the mere utterance of his name became a crime. Some say it was because he sought to restore the banned art of resurrection." and he probably succeded in restoring the art of resurrection, since "He calls himself Navlaan, now." and what we also know is that "Hexer Gilleah never took an apprentice, making it unclear how his spells were passed down."
If you're talking about the guy who is imprisoned in the mansion, that's Navlaan. He'll give you assassination side quests if you talk to him in hollow form. You can use him as a merchant after that completing his quest line. A not so great way to still access him as a merchant though is to release him from his imprisonment. You can immediately access him as a merchant at that point, but will continuously invade you throughout your game after that.
Thank you for your thoughts. Yes, I was talking about Navlaan. I've only read and seen about him, since in my sole playthrough, I pulled the lever beforehand.
JC Fathom is a scumbag, who doesn't have the balls to do something himself and just critisizing others and thinking that he's better because his mother told him so.
I've been reading all these comments.... I don't know how you've ripped vaati off... I don't think he has said a single thing that you taught me in this video... Keep up the vids :P You just got another subscriber +1 like.
BlackJester57 Yeah and that was out way before ds2 got released so thats one of the least hidden facts in this vid, anyway the one with the pig is new to me great :) and thx.
I think people are saying he copied the concept of the video not the video itself, you know the whole "leave a like thing" and the number of facts.. at least that's what i think people are getting upset about
In regard to skipping Ruin Sentinels: 1. Get the Antiquated key 2. When you go down the ladder near the Heide knight, turn RIGHT (away from McDuff's) 3. Break the boards covering a secret passage 4. Bypass the sentinels way easier.
Flyman321123 Since all the titles of characters ingame have supposedly been their titles since the time of Vendricks sanity. So it would be strange if Vendrick didn't recognize that his own royal sorcerer was the same person he had in charge or his experiments.
+SiestaYonJyuGo The measure of quali- what does that even mean? There is absolutely irony, because Vaati was found to be a plagiarizing scumbag who ripped off other people's work. Not to mention the fact that ViiTCHA was around for 3 years before Vaati even made his channel.
#9: so THATS why my character suddenly grew breasts.. at the time I entered the coffin I had too much armor on to notice any difference, and later when I changed it I was like "what the hell"..
He did these 10 things you didn't know videos during Dark Souls 1, so he just continued them. This wasn't stolen from Vaati at all, tons of people do 10 things you didn't know vids. Vaati certainly wasn't the first.
Kurt Rustle My God... a positive comment from you. Do you realize that you had so many negative comments in my other videos that they qualified as spam? I had to actively go allow them access to be seen and I did it despite the fact that every single one of them was negative because I don't believe people's opinions should be censored no matter if they're positive or negative.
Kurt Rustle I try to make my lore very cinematic and I care a lot about editing and things of that nature. With my style I'm not going to stop at specific parts and point out what is speculation to people and what's fact. This late in the game I expect a certain level of knowledge from my audience and I don't hold their hand with what's what, just like Dark Souls itself. Beside, it says in the description of every single lore video I've ever made that some is parts are speculation. I know that video descriptions on TH-cam are sacrilege to read for some reason, so I don't blame you for missing it.
I did ViiTCHA before anyone ever even heard of Vaati. Vidya is another meme way of saying "video games" knowyourmeme.com/memes/vidya ViiTCHA took on the same idea but I wanted it to be an anagram, which it is: Visual Images In Tandem (or moving pictures which is what videos are) and CHA just means CHAnnel. That's all it means, that's all there is to it... there's no super conspiracy here. It has nothing to do with Vaati.
Well of course it's not a real dragon, you can kill it after all. One of the things about the dragons was they were completely immortal unless they had all their scales of immortality removed, so much so that both halves of their bodies survived being torn in half (the undead dragons being the upper halves, and the dragon legs in Lost Izalith being the lower halves). Seath could be killed because he was scaleless, and both Kalameet and gaping don't drop dragon scales, implying they were mutants, not true dragons, or had all their scale removed during the war but were not killed.
Justin Yancey Dragon legs in Lost Izalith may most likely be failed experiments from the witch of chaos. Read that somewhere, cant remember where exactly.
DaTipz The witch created pyromancy, but she never created any creatures. When attempting to recreate the first flame most of her daughters (and her son) turned into mutant demons (Quelaag, the fair lady, ceaseless discharge), died (the corpse ceaseless watches over), and one of her daughter fled and survived (Quelana). The legs were not created by the Witch of Izalith. In fact it's almost completely certain they are dragon's legs as we do see the legs in one other place, the painted world, right behind the undead dragon on the same bridge. Keep in mind originally the dragon you fight was where the legs are before charging at you, also keep in mind the dragon that fights you is only the upper half of a dragon. It's fairly obvious the legs in the painted world are dragon legs, and they are the same legs we see in Lost Izalith.
Carter Magnus Not enough for it to matter... and not enough to be sour about it... I mean really... Who's actually missing out here? It's not as if these are plagiarized... they're covering different information mostly. Why so grumpy?
Carter Magnus You're really stupid. Anyone can do videos like these, it's not like it's illegal. Also, those 10 things you didn't videos have been on youtube for even longer than Vaati is doing them, so don't be a fool.
kotzer71 ***** You're both taking things to bizarre extremes, to be honest. Vaati's content is great and I've enjoyed what I've seen of his DS2 content too. Even if he took lore ideas from other sources, that's what the whole community does, and taking those ideas and putting them into an easily digestible narrative video takes skill. However, it is true that he, like other prominent DS2 content creators such as ENB, are now perhaps a little too close to the material to be able to speak honestly about it, although in the case of ENB he's still been quite critical of aspects of the game and listened to what others have said too (coz he's flat out awesome). In the case of Vaati, I still dig his content but I find when he talks about all the 'amazing content' he's going to bring us, I wonder if it's gone to his head a little, but really who cares? TerraMantis is far from a Vaati rip off, though, even if this particular format is one that Vaati has done too. For my money, Terra's lore videos are way more interesting in the way they are presented, but either way, these guys all make great Souls content so who the hell cares about who is better or who's ideas are the most original?
your spot #3. i actually did this by acident in my first playthrough. my friend told me about the boss and I didnt know it. he was baffled that i could miss them
Aldia isnt the dragon, you actually FIND the real Aldia, but by the time you find him he's gone hollow. Thats's the reason nobody hears from him again, he secludes himself in his office as he hollows.
enderhater505 The Duke? Probably to experiment with the brightstones, and mess with the dragon skeleton stuck in the webs above the Freja fight. In NG+, Freja drops Seath's old soul, implying everything is linked. The Duke--probably Aldia--experimented with eternal life using Seath's crystals, the Ancient Dragon, and Giant Souls, to create the empty being that is known as the Ancient Dragon. This "dragon" is just a bundle of bones wrapped around a Giant Soul, somehow given eternal life (or something close to it). At least, that's my interpretation.
With the addition of "Scholar of the First Sin" we know Aldia is not the Ancient Dragon. The dragon is just a creation of Aldia by fusing Giant Souls and maybe Dragon Bones.

I didn't know the sentinels existed I did everything to skip them without trying
Funny cus my first time through I didn't know they were skipable lol
THEY ARE SKIPABLE FUCKKKKK
I also missed them on my 1st playthrough 😅
When i didn't know it was skippable, it really improved my playing skills by beating it after 9 hours
@CosmicOwls you a monogatari fan too?
There's another way of not needing to use so many Human Effigies too.
Git gud.
Just saying, but here is something I am pretty sure no one knows. You can knock back firebombs.
+- A lot know that.
I know that from accidentally parrying one.
's pretty neat.
psh, casuals. :P

That's probably my favorite Ornstein and Smough metaphor i've ever heard

I loved the lore you touched on in this video. I cannot wait until more lore oriented videos start coming.
Aldia is not the ancient dragon -> DLCs took care of where Aldia was hiding :D

Mr Skeltal I know, I beat him :>

...What about the date of the video? It was made in April 2014, SotfS was released in March 2014.

Actually they both have a deep seeded hatred born of anger and violence, nurtured from the deepest pits of hell raised by Satan himself in which he created the rivalry that instills fear even within himself for he dare not mention what he has created ever again.
Waifu
Going to like this Video because of Pursuer Intro
Same.
yep
These are such nostalgic videos for me I remember watching them all those years ago gets me thinking man. I miss the old days
You got me with the last two, honestly how did anyone find out about the boars 0.o
The guide mentions the 1/1000 chance to spawn a friendly one. I imagine people just got annoyed with that and tried with a hostile one.
yeah I figured that, but the idea of leading boars to a little tiny spot of grass in the middle of a random house-like thing full of spiders.. was that in the guide? or else I wouldn't have the slightest clue what to do with one of those boars
Yeah, it was in the guide. I don't see how anyone could've figured it out otherwise, either.
Krasnoya Ronin Is the weapon worth it? What's it called?
The pickaxe? It's alright. Depends on your playstyle and your build, I guess.
Number 1 is a lie, because Aldia is the scholar of the first sin...
Yes hahahaha
***** Ok, let's consider that this video was made before that information... but anyways, I didn't find his argument to be that solid :/
Lol ikr
CORRECT
He's not lying. Just didn't have the info at this point in time.
You never have to use a human effigy once you get to the fire pit in "Shrine of Amana". If u pray at it while hollow, it will revive you.
Can I just say, Aldia is not the ancient dragon, he is the Scholar. The dragon is just his creation.
+Riley H. He was clearly speculating, as in that time there was no clue who Aldia was.
+UR “Lol Limewire” apirate I know, I'm saying for people who see this and don't know the real Aldia.
A lazy dragon with multiple people in there head that's too stationary to do anything in the world? Nothing special about that, they're everywhere on tumblr.
Bravo on the pursuer promo :3 it was stellar
Wish that was the pursuers' REAL intro/opening so kool
"Fuck a walking animation, I float BITCH!" hahaha omg I wish that pursuer intro was actually in the game that looked like a Borderlands boss intro XD
"Vitcha" sounds really close to "Vidya". Hmm..
But seriously, I love both!
PURSUIN ERRYDAY.
Aldia isn't the dragon but he didn't escape his experiments unscathed
I'm new to Dark Souls 2! And you're the first in-depth youtuber that i found, you have my sub. :D I hopei i will get good at this game.
very obscure but worth a mention.
In DS1 there was a high pitched squeaking sound that could be heard from and only the firelink shrine bonfire.
In DS2 this is at every bonfire.
What? You've gotta have a source for that info man.
Abraham Moshekh ... Every bonfire..?
I mean where did you hear about that?
Abraham Moshekh ... At every Bonfire..?
It's repeatable and observable.
I see. So you found that out yourself then?
This was worth a like for every fact, well done!
Whelp, last one is just wrong, course we did not know if that was wrong until recently.
Best Pursuer intro ever! :)
3:03 ... this comment is just a shortcut for me.
Wow, just wow. You're doing some awesome job here, good luck man (liked)
Cool video, I'm here because Pat of 2BFP talked about it.
Thanks. Who did what now from where in what?
TerraMantis
Pat and Woolie from the channel TheSw1tcher are doing a lets play of Dark Souls 2 and Pat referenced your videos a couple of times.
These videos are really gonna help me I’m getting dark souls 2 tomorrow
And the ancient dragon thing is just speculation.
theres super hard evidence though
yes there is.
tim naav There's super hard evidence that it's not actually a dragon and in fact an experiment by Aldia using a giant's soul. Not so much evidence that it's Aldia himself.
No theory is ever a fact in Dark Souls universe. The part where Lord Aldia was never seen again makes possible that Aldia "is" the dragon. But no one can assure that 100%
Nagrandt
If a woman gives birth to a child and then disappears immediately after, does that make her the child?
Hell, Aldia could've made the dragon and the dragon could've swallowed him.
TerraMantis, Thank you for making and uploading this video I found it informative and funny!
Well, you know, the original language of Dark Souls 2 is english, so I don't think we can take japanese descriptions as a basis.

See how easy it is to spam shit in TH-cam.
"Pursuin errday, errday" - fucking love that shit! Lol The Pursurer is just a straight up baller!
At 3:00 hahahaha only thing that made me laugh ever in any DarkSouls video, Great Job !!
I actually just finished the Bastille place by killing the lost sinner, and I have no idea where the ruin sentinels even are.
lmao, just get back before the sinner, the place where you met lucatiel of mirrah, keep going straight from the door, take left and kill the 2 royal swordsman, then use a branch of yore on the petrified hollow, kill him and open the door behind him,get down all the stairs, then take the ladder, you'll find then the ruin sentinels on your right
From McDuff's workshop/bonfire, go up the stairs, fight 1 humpback, 2 dogs, another humpback, then cross over a stone ledge to your right.
Why did your intro really impress me? Subbed just for that.
Number one has been long since proven false. Also, i think its fairly obvious from emerald keeper's dialogue that she was the result of the experiments, even before SOTFS came out
Thanks for the info about the Ring of Life Protection, I didn't know you can repair it! Also, very funny video, Pursuer Intro rocks :D
the thing n.
It's not my fault a year after Dark Souls 2's release From Software said "Well... actually this is the story now." With the information of the time, this is accurate.
ok
Dat pursuer intro. I laughed so hard. Great job man.
The Pursuer joke cracks me up every time xD I even come back to this video just to watch that part again ^^
so do i
Thanks for the great video terra mantis
i thought this was a joke/parody of vaatividya, but then after about #7 i realised you were actually serious... wow..
Hah, yeah, especialy with likes system.
I'm impressed, I learned three things from this video. The shattered vessel, the Pursuer trick, and the Anciet Dragon. Thanks!
did you finish the game 7 years ago?
@@blakespower Yes. I got to new game plus 4 or 5. DS2 is easier but a little more accessible. I just can't believe this was 7 years ago!
The dragon could also be using the word "us" to represent a sense of greater stature. Royalty, for instance, refer to themselves in the plural at times.
Great videos man, the intro its hilarious and your comments sections its full of trolls no one can be that naive to think you are serious keep up the good work
the ruin sentinels isnt even hard it would take more time to skip it then to fight them
*****
get out.
That's the joke
Thank god for people like you, otherwise I wouldn't ever know the stories inside the Dark Souls universe.
Is pursuer Putin's cousin? He rides' an eagle :P
i knew all of these, but i'm still going to like it just because it was a well put-together video
Alida isnt the dragon... theres no definitive proof... that "did you know" is pure speculation...
Stormy Surge but it isn’t Aldia
@@stormysurge9083 couldn't be aldia. He's turned into a tentacle bonfire monster that doesn't know how to not scare anyone
We need a separate clip for the Pursuer footage there. That was cool.
DARK SOULS ♥ :D
Aye
dark souls ♥️ :D
DS2 bad
Very helpful information, I'll be watching all your videos, thank you for the upload...
you got a like just for saying you were like fishing haha and a subscribe for a badass video
Didn't know about the pig thing, that was pretty cool. I had to like this because of the Pursuer entrance. Phenomenal.
Your channel design is pretty much identical to Vaati's. It's not exactly the same content obviously, but your two most popular series are carbon copies of concept, down to the thumbnail design.
You make great videos, but I wouldn't mind seeing some original concepts.
I've been thinking about doing a series called "Souls News" for my channel.
And dialogue.
well- you may also think that REAL dragon shoot magic (seath used crystal magic, and kalameet "flame" does magic damage), that "not-so-ancient-dragon" shoot fire-
so, it's indeed a fake dragon
and for the guy in Aldia's mansion, are you referring to Navlaan? because i have a theory that he could be the hexer Gilleah: from what we know "The heretic Navlaan was executed along with his entire village, and the mere utterance of his name became a crime. Some say it was because he sought to restore the banned art of resurrection." and he probably succeded in restoring the art of resurrection, since "He calls himself Navlaan, now." and what we also know is that
"Hexer Gilleah never took an apprentice, making it unclear how his spells were passed down."
I found it weird that every other Dragon saw me as food, except the "Ancient Dragon". Mystery solved.
So this is another copy video... exact same facts as everyone else doing these...
Terra Mantis is a scumbag, copying and being sarcastic about it. Hate this guy.
JC Fathom I couldn't agree more.
TerraMantis Omg, that made me laugh so hard! xD
JC Fathom is a scumbag, who doesn't have the balls to do something himself and just critisizing others and thinking that he's better because his mother told him so.
Andrew Malolepszy And you have a hobbit as your display picture, that's all I need to say honestly.
That Pursuer intro is Balling!!!
I knew 8 of the 10 from reddit and the pursuer fact from watching Lobos. The ancient dragon fact was lost on me though.
I don't really think it's a fact, not yet anyways.
Good Work! Will wait for more. Thanks
I think people are saying he copied the concept of the video not the video itself, you know the whole "leave a like thing" and the number of facts.. at least that's what i think people are getting upset about
who is the character in 6:20 ?
Number 1 is not true and i know the rest ;)
Ravus Nox Fleuret what about aldia not being the dragon?
that water and lava tip was fantastic. I've been killing myself trying to get those chests
Transgender Coffin: Every Thai man's dream.
In regard to skipping Ruin Sentinels:
1. Get the Antiquated key
2. When you go down the ladder near the Heide knight, turn RIGHT (away from McDuff's)
3. Break the boards covering a secret passage
4. Bypass the sentinels way easier.
Vatividya ripofff
RuSosan I... I think I love you.
Gidrah Oh so ANYONE who does souls lore is copying Vaati? Cmon man 😂
The game at the beginning was kinda a rip-off, but it could be a joke
Is this a joke?
Am I being r/whoooshed?
Am I a casual?
What am I doing?
Who am I?
How did I get here?
Its nice to have more of these "You dont know about Dark Souls" videos :)
aldia isn't the dragon he is navlaan
Facepalmed.
why. If it's because you think i'm wrong say that, don't simly say "facepalmed"
Flyman321123 There is no basis towards your claim. Give proof, or shut up.
Why are you so rude?
Flyman321123 Since all the titles of characters ingame have supposedly been their titles since the time of Vendricks sanity. So it would be strange if Vendrick didn't recognize that his own royal sorcerer was the same person he had in charge or his experiments.
#6 is worthless. Life ring doesn't protect against hollowing... not sure what you meant there
ummmmm vati vidya rip off
Uh... No.
+Kietsero so much irony in that statement..
+Peter Taylor everything is a rip-off m8
+SiestaYonJyuGo The measure of quali- what does that even mean? There is absolutely irony, because Vaati was found to be a plagiarizing scumbag who ripped off other people's work. Not to mention the fact that ViiTCHA was around for 3 years before Vaati even made his channel.
l
#9: so THATS why my character suddenly grew breasts.. at the time I entered the coffin I had too much armor on to notice any difference, and later when I changed it I was like "what the hell"..
can you stop stealing content from vaati?
+Kurt Rustle not tryin to start shit but isnt vitcha awfully close to vidya?? why would he pick vitcha... just askibg for trouble
I did ViiTCHA before anyone ever even heard of Vaati. Vidya is another meme way of saying "video games" knowyourmeme.com/memes/vidya
ViiTCHA took on the same idea but I wanted it to be an anagram, which it is: Visual Images In Tandem (or moving pictures which is what videos are) and CHA just means CHAnnel.
That's all it means, that's all there is to it... there's no super conspiracy here. It has nothing to do with Vaati.
Watching these videos make me realize I'm not the shit I thought I was... with a Fire Longsword and armor bought from the Majula merchant...
I never knew about the dragon not being a dragon thats really cool
Well of course it's not a real dragon, you can kill it after all. One of the things about the dragons was they were completely immortal unless they had all their scales of immortality removed, so much so that both halves of their bodies survived being torn in half (the undead dragons being the upper halves, and the dragon legs in Lost Izalith being the lower halves). Seath could be killed because he was scaleless, and both Kalameet and gaping don't drop dragon scales, implying they were mutants, not true dragons, or had all their scale removed during the war but were not killed.
*****
those were dragon legs?!?! THAT MAKES SO MUCH SENSE mind blown
Justin Yancey
Dragon legs in Lost Izalith may most likely be failed experiments from the witch of chaos.
***** What about the dragon on the bridge?
May or may not know is totally different from don't know. I can see "the strategy" already. Well played.
Your number 1 is WRONG, Aldia created the dragon, he didnt transform himself into it
+Hunter Roseborough actually they're are NCPs stating that the dragon is some sort of prop or puppet pretending to be something great
*****
Aldia used the soul of a great giant to create the dragon, if have SotFS version u will meet Aldia several times and tell u everything.
Look at the goddamn date of the video before commenting: 2 years ago, or, simply, before the SOtFS version ever came around
Kyuu's right, they didn't release sotfs yet.
the Pursuer montage is priceless!
disliked because you need to stop asking for likes
oh dayum son, u so gangster, teach me ur ways m8
Well, you don't HAVE to play the game.
"I'm pump, I'm pump, I am freaking pump" 3:00
Amazing how you made me stop watching before the content even started. Have a dislike.
i didnt know about the water coating. sweet. good job and vid. epic.
Keep stealing Vaati's ideas..smh.
Interesting ... Do you say the same thing when you walk into a burger king?
There's a difference, don't be so ignorant.
Carter Magnus Not enough for it to matter... and not enough to be sour about it... I mean really... Who's actually missing out here? It's not as if these are plagiarized... they're covering different information mostly. Why so grumpy?
Vaati came up with this idea first...i'd be steamed if someone was getting subs for videos that was my idea.
Carter Magnus You're really stupid. Anyone can do videos like these, it's not like it's illegal. Also, those 10 things you didn't videos have been on youtube for even longer than Vaati is doing them, so don't be a fool.
Ancient Dragon isn't Aldia. We now know that from the SotFS update.
look another vati rip off
ok hen did he start stealing content and hat endorsments show proof or shut up
cool story bro but i still need proof
kotzer71 ***** You're both taking things to bizarre extremes, to be honest.
Thomas Marchant ding ding ding!! We have a winner!!! Thank you, good sir and/or madam.
Thomas Marchant I love the Vaati!!! Hes such a herooo respresenting all us in soul community!!! he my best frienddd!!! ;^DDD
your spot #3. i actually did this by acident in my first playthrough. my friend told me about the boss and I didnt know it. he was baffled that i could miss them
Aldia isnt the dragon, you actually FIND the real Aldia, but by the time you find him he's gone hollow. Thats's the reason nobody hears from him again, he secludes himself in his office as he hollows.
Also the NPCs tell you it's not a real dragon due to it being made from a giant soul, that's why it drops one.
you find Vendrick hollow nobody has seen Aldia you mixed up the characters
enderhater505
He's probably talking about the unnamed Duke after the Freja fight. It's possible that this man is Aldia.
but then the question is why did he go there?
enderhater505
The Duke? Probably to experiment with the brightstones, and mess with the dragon skeleton stuck in the webs above the Freja fight. In NG+, Freja drops Seath's old soul, implying everything is linked. The Duke--probably Aldia--experimented with eternal life using Seath's crystals, the Ancient Dragon, and Giant Souls, to create the empty being that is known as the Ancient Dragon. This "dragon" is just a bundle of bones wrapped around a Giant Soul, somehow given eternal life (or something close to it).
At least, that's my interpretation.
I subbed because that was the best like beg I've ever seen lol. Also liked.
