I'm finding it very hard to find the same brand lock gearbox that is currently in my door. Can I use a different brand, as long as its the right size??. Sorry, I'm not the best at DIY but I think I could give this a go with the guidance of this video.

I have this issue but the door doesn't have a handle outside. It's one sided so I can't get door open to see type of lock.
