- These days, Elden Ring feels a little too easy. Thankfully, there's still tons of challenges I can try, to make the game a little harder. Take for instance, the classic Soulsborne challenge: The Level 1 Run. Some know it at Rune Level 1, some know it as SL1, but regardless of what you know it as, the challenge is the same throughout all of the games. That being said, I've decided to throw a little twist in there. Introducing, the Elden Ring Convergence mod...

21:03 the reason the frost pot didn't do it's job is because malenia gained a resistance against the status. There's a mechanic in elden ring where the more you proc a status effect on an enemy, the harder it is to proc again. This is why the frost pot method is not always reliable with malenia, because if she does waterfowl one too many times, she'll just ignore the status effect and shred you anyway.

I feel like removing the Serpent-Hunter Spear makes Rykard less fun. The whole point of the fight is the spectacle, and without the gimmick it takes too long to be fun. Why would they remove it?
My thoughts exactly. The fight is literally balanced around the serpent hunter! It would have been cooler if there was some quest line or boss you had to beat to get the serpent hunter so it felt cooler to find it and beat Rykard.
Same thing with removing Gideon and Soldier of Godrick instead of buffing them. Pisses me off.
Yeah gimmick boss minus their gimmick is just brain dead design.

Soldier of Godrick though, I'm fine with being replaced. Jokes aside, he's a common enemy found in Limgrave and isn't built to be a boss no matter how buffed. Give him a new look and a few more moves, though, and we're golden.

I know Sigur is basically just a reskin of those duelist gladiator guys, with one of their axes reskinned as a Great Stars, but damn is he cool. The ball and chain moveset on the great stars unironically looks better than it does on the duelist greataxe in my opinion.

i think i have some Morgott PTSD ever since i tried to beat him at SL 20 on my first playthrough just to get to mountaintops early. The moment i heard you say they made Morgott more aggressive i almost had a panic attack.

To answer your confusion, Malenia's Frost resistance significantly increases the more she is inflicted by it.
that or the mod says no to 🧀ing Malenia
It's possible they increased it, but proc increasing is in the base game.

Rykard's Rancour(AC-130) can be dodged by just running, unless the convergence changed it from the original, you do have to be away from Rykard though since he will try and hit you more if you are close

I hate to tell you this, but if you were playing on the most recent Patch, the serpent hunter was re-added. You just wouldn't know that if you were only reading the 1.0 release notes

You can get the serpent slayer spear thing by getting killed by the abductor in raya Lucaria and then killing the duo

A good and underrated summon to maybe use for Melania in the future is redmane knight olga, so long as you can keep Malenia's aggro and keep her away from the melee swap range Olga will hang back and pepper Melania with almost perfectly accurate gravity great arrows that knock Melania on her ass every time they connect and with her keeping her distance as a ranged summon Melania can't reliably heal from her as she can off your mistakes.

The only thing that makes rl1 hard is that late game bosses one shot you and you have a limited equip load. If you can meet the requirements for a weapon, you can make an op build around it.

21:04 if you’re confused there’s a great video about it, but basically Malenia cheats. She doesn’t get stunned or flinchs when she’s in the air or during an attack, even though absolutely everyone else in the game does

the boss that replaces the duo likely has some kind of immunity window after being riposted, bosses seem to usually lose that, but since it's an upscaled normal enemy they likely forgot to remove the riposte immunity window to allow for more hits after a riposte
if anyone's reading this please help me. i'm playing this mod and ive gotten to the part where tanith takes you to rykard but i get spawned inside a rock and fall through the map and die. how do i solve this
