- Bill's Hot Dogs was started in 1928 and is still going strong. Bill Jackson started the business with his unique spicy chili sauce. Jay Boyd now runs the business, and Mildred Hamilton started working at Bill's when she was 17, took a break then returned and has worked at Bill's for more than 40 years (the now 85 year old retired March 12th, 2024).
If yall ever visit Washington, DC go to Ben's Chili Bowl for half smoked dogs or even Weenie Beenie in Arlington, VA (15-20mins away from DC)
Of I go close to Washington I have to go to Bills fir some Hotdogs. Best ones I have ever had. Different than most but very good. You try em and you kind of crave them. They are worth the drive. I live In Kinston almost between Kinston and Snowhill NC so not to far of a drive .
As a north I had to subscribe lol,dont meet many Norths out there,grew up in Alaska but parents were from Ohio.
Thanks for following! We are from upstate NY but information on the North side of the family is sketchy... my grandfather fought in WW II, came back, family fell apart, he moved to California to start a new family..

they put the chili on the bun then the dog in the bun.. the hot dogs are boiled
that close up of the beige goop in the dirty container in the dirty hot table, with the objectively filthy spoon/ladle sticking out is absolutely abhorrent. what the fuck is the health inspector doing if they don't shut them down after this new story. have some fucking self respect as a business if this is what is shown to prospective customers. that container probably has some of the original sauce in it if its never been clean well.
