    I just prayed and asked how I could walk with our Savior a couple days ago, and in answer to my prayer I stumbled upon this, I simply need to submit to His will more fully so as to more fully have His Spirit to be with me, and then will I find myself clean and purified enough to heed His call, to truly walk with Him

    Wow. Thank you Elder Bednar for this instructive, soul piercing, admonition from our Lord. This is a powerful witness as to what I need to do to rise to the occasion, to rise more fully to the covenants I have made and then to be able to more fully partake of the abundant fruits that are available, and then to be able to enjoy the true blessings needed to endure to the end and also to be able to fully serve those around me. Thank you for your life of pure discipleship 🙏🏻

    We, who are often like wayward sheep, who choose to walk away from the loving arms of the Good Shepherd, can come back into his abiding loving embrace! It's never too late to come back if we have faith in the enabling Grace that Jesus Christ can pour upon each of us, by choosing to repent and turn away from sin.
    We are living examples of the story of the prodigal son taught to us by Jesus Christ, but like the wayward son, we must "come to ourselves," and choose to come back into the loving arms of Christ, who is our only hope.

    Seeing far off is about having faith in the God's word to accomplish His purpose - which is to become truth. Since the law is given as both a blessing AND a curse - it must be understood that there needs to be division; a division between that which is and what is not, but is, and is yet to come.
    Lacking this division is chaos and disorder. God's curses will produce their intended purpose and provide the wages of the works they are there of. Allow God Himself to deliver those wages and do not curse those who do not yet know. They will be refined by the fire and will return of their own free will as they answer the call and choose whom it is that they will serve. They will thus be broken and in need of the great love of which only God and His people can provide.
    May the power to endure find us all.
    Shalom.

    This is the Saviors Church on Earth!
    "Do Not Betray the Brethren
    O ye Twelve! and all Saints! profit by this important Key--that in all your trials, troubles, temptations, afflictions, bonds, imprisonments and death, see to it, that you do not betray heaven; that you do not betray Jesus Christ; that you do not betray the brethren; that you do not betray the revelations of God, whether in Bible, Book of Mormon, or Doctrine and Covenants, or any other that ever was or ever will be given and revealed unto man in this world or that which is to come. Yea, in all your kicking and flounderings, see to it that you do not this thing, lest innocent blood be found upon your skirts, and you go down to hell. All other sins are not to be compared to sinning against the Holy Ghost, and proving a traitor to the brethren.

    If ye keep my commandments ye shall abide in my (Jesus') love. And if not? You abide in his love anyway Bednar. Start teaching that. Jesus lived with and died for us when many didn't keep his commandments for example the harlot, the tax collector, Peter who denied knowing Jesus, and the thief on the cross.

    • @daleabono3616

      Absolutely true, and has always been true (although, I can't imagine ever telling an Apostle what he should teach). The Savior's love for us is, was, and always will be, the same. Elder Bednar went further than that. There is a potential for so much more than that. If we want Him to abide with us, and in us, we have to make the choice to want that. There is a wonderful potential here that is unlimited.

      Hi,
      It's true that The love of Jesus Christ never changes for anyone no exceptions, however when we choose to sin we walk away from his loving embrace, and by our own choose aren't abiding in his love, because we have walked away from it.
      Because he honours our own free will or agency, he won't force us to abide in his love. He is like a warning fire outside, when it is -30 f. If we walk away from his warmth, which can symbolize his love and forgiveness, we suffer because we choose not to let his "warm love," abide in us.
      I hope this helps.
      God bless you!

    • @tsmithson1
      @tsmithson1 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@nathanbanks2935 When we choose to "Sin" we do NOT walk away from his loving embrace. This is a toxic message perpetuated in fear of missing out. When we "sin", we walk away from a life of flourishing, not from God's embrace. I am a firm believer that we are punished BY our sins, not for our sins.
      God is not running some adversarial surveillance, tracking down every moment we depart from his authoritative mandate. To suggest that God withdraws from our lives when we don't act in harmony with the laws that govern happiness, is the equivalant of a loving earthly Parent kicking their child out everytime they come home past Curphey.
      If anything, it is completely the opposite, God's loving embrace only intentifies as he sees his children move away from a life of harmony.

  • @tsmithson1
    @tsmithson1 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Why do we continue to insist on God's love being dependent on our behavior?

    • @minilla3842
      @minilla3842 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      It isn’t that it is dependent on our behavior. It is always there. But our behavior affects how clearly we can see it.

    • @utahman112
      @utahman112 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@minilla3842 agree but I feel like many people leave the church or don’t have interest because of attitudes of perfectionism and a checklist mentality of living and that our culture is focused on behavior and not on Christ. Sometimes I feel the perfectionism/behavior culture is perpetuated when leaders carry themselves as if they are perfect individuals and use shame and fear woven into their talks.
