It was great to see you back with your stitching again. At times like this I am reminded of the wisdom of the saying "tend your own garden", sometimes that is the best we can do, for the time being.
Take December and do what helps you, not stresses you! You have a lot of change going on. I have a lot of stress myself with the ‘current events’ you mentioned, & cannot imagine adding the stress of your little one too. Take care of you and your family & hope we get to see you every two weeks if possible. Or once a month till the holidays are over. Take care!
Having your youngest child go to school is very stressful. If he loves it then most of your stress will go away. I am sure that everything will go well for your little one. Love the progress you have made on your projects. I am stressing over the holidays because it is my turn to host it. All the prep is very stressful for me. I know in the end it will all come together but getting there is just to much for me. No one in my family cooks so it is all on me. Hopefully we will get to see you in December. Happy Stitching.

He was home by himself with me since he's brothers are 5.5 and 7.5 years older than him. Hang in there and do what you need to do for yourself and family to get through these times. As far as current events I'm struggling with that as well. And this week we added the stress of my 90 year old father in law being in the hospital. Love all your projects!
Oh my other kids are a lot older too! They are 12 and 9 and Cole is almost 3, so it’s just me and him a lot of the time. It’s going to be hard, but I do think he’ll like school once he figures everything out.

Thanks Donna! It’s like 80/20 in my mind that he’ll love school, and I know it’s mostly anxiety. But he’s my last baby. 😢 Knitting is helping though! I’ve been working on so many things: shawls, mittens, sweaters 😂
Hope all goes well for your little guy starting school. It’s hard under any circumstances, but especially so when the munchkin has special needs. Mine is all grown up now, and doing well, but I still remember the trepidation I felt when handing her off to others to provide her care. And I can only hope that we’ll all be okay with the changes that are coming. Thank you for sharing all your beautiful crafting.

The blankets are beautiful. I can't imagine knitting a cabled blanket on that particular circular needle. 😬 I still remember when I sent my child off to school for the first time. I was such a wreck and he ended up loving it. With all the changes going on definitely be kind to yourself.

Ooooh, I ordered the first three years of the P&L yarn tasting and it did not disappoint. I cut back on my yarn advents this year (from 5 to 2) and had to make the hard decision to not go with P&L this year. I think you'll enjoy it very much.
OHHHHHH!!!! I am over the moon excited about your beautiful shawl!!!!! The gray blanket is gorgeous! Those big needles look like they'd be hard to use!!! What would you do differently? I love Stitch Pal too! It's fun to know how many stitches you need to do by a certain time!
I would absolutely find a needle with a longer cable if I was going to try to knit that blanket again. And I would plan to split it up and do half a chart repeat per week or something instead of burning myself out and it putting it in timeout for several actual years. 😆

The pastel granny stripe blanket does have a pattern that I got the idea from. It’s called the Primavera Blanket by CJ Design and is available for free on her blog. I used the same yarn she did, but I think I have some different colorways. It’s Caron Blossom Cakes that you can find at Michael’s.
