I would love to live in your cross stitch world and already want to grab so many of the palettes you’ve shown! Such a fun video! One thing I would love to see but don’t really expect to happen is pattern mashups. Not just spot samplers but truly subbing motifs/sections from one pattern into another.
O I love that mashup idea! I have so many samplers that I like pieces from that I would love to Frankenstein together but just never do would love to see more people doing it
I agree that 20 count Aida is pure comfort stitching and I wish more companies dyed it. One of my goals for the year is to buy a couple of metres and play with dyes.
I’m loving your trends! I have felt similarly about some of the things you mentioned - especially with the spring palettes. I literally just bought a ton of pinks and greens to design with.
A Lola Crow circus SAL would be amazing! I’m down for any kind of circus or clown pattern. I’m all for transparent SALs. I wish more designs would share the finished piece then they could still release it in parts.
Girrrllll!!! This whole video is a trend! 😍I love all your predictions, and such good ideas. I am here for the monochrome. Something I'd definitely like to try this year.
Hi Cam. I really enjoyed your video. I especially love the story or mood boards you used. I think a few of these predictions are your wishes but I also think there will be a lot of action on these ideas. People are getting “braver” about altering their stitches and that’s great. I can’t wait to see what you stitch this year.
I finished my DMC master set over Christmas break but I also have a respectable collection of over dyed threads lol I’m hoping for grandma florals, I would love that, even if I have to bring it back myself 😂
Funny enough, some of these predictions are things I was already dabbling with utilizing for future starts this year so I guess I'll that this as a sign that its the right direction! Really loved this concept though and I hope these prediction videos become a thing.
Okay haven’t finished yet, but as your resident museum professional you’re right and Connor is wrong 🫡😂 Also I’m so down for some Laura Ashley type florals in designs! Can’t wait to see how these predictions work out over the year! ❤
A Lola Carnival would be VERY cool. I think it might be a Jungle or Zoo theme. Something more "animal". Like poisonous frogs, snakes etc. 1 vote for you on "museum".
I think Lola Crow might do a sky related stitch along. Since we’ve had the earth and sea so far. Also something I’ve been seeing a lot is for people to want to WIP down as we become more aware of overconsumption. Not shaming anyone, I myself have a lot of projects, but I have heared it a lot recently the “I have enough stuff…”
Oh I love this topic!! So interesting. Totally agree on Aida, I am seeing more and more flosstubers use it. My predictions 1. I think comfort stitching is going to be popular- easy to follow patterns, less stress, more soothing for all of our anxiousness- easy fill in, repetition, alphabets, typography etc. 2. I think there will be less mystery stitches and mystery boxes because I think people are watching their spending more and can’t buy things they don’t even know what it is.
Just for you to know, EJ from Sunshine Stitchers did a 13 month SAL where she graphed out 12 sections on a pattern. The 13month was catch up for everyone. This year they have already started the SAL and Evertote was part of kitting up the project. Please look into it. The group of participants has really grew from last year.
Anna Funk is an asymmetrical sampler and it definitely stands out as different and interesting against the rest of the samplers. I’d love more grey scale and deep red, and samplers with no borders!
Love this video and your predictions. In the Evertote roxy floss Christmas SAL we had a floss called pinot noir which is a deep cherry wine red and it was one of my faves. So hoping this floss colour is all the rage this year ❤
1. I think your predictions for more greyscale, deep red, and Victorian is more likely to occur than spring colors (this is based on the interior design TH-camrs I watch). 2. Soft/medium yellow is a difficult color to match with a floss palate, but a rich mustard aida/linen with fall orange, brown, and blood red would be amazing! 3. SAL's are going to change, but I don't know how. Folks can no longer follow a hashtag so to see each other's work will be more difficult.
On the knit/stitch crossover: Nathnolu just dropped Cozy Nest, a cozy little raven in orange knitwear knitting a sock. Totally adorable, and I had to get it immediately. (And I'm stitching on 20ct as I watch!)
Yes I agree with a lot of your predictions! I just did a large color conversion for Consider The Lilies last night with a lot of deep reds and purples! And yes - more floral designs!!
My predictions/hot takes: In: Fancy wizards Out: Fancy ladies Also a resurgence in wanting to find and stitch vintage kits, or people finding joy in picking up very old, abandoned projects and completing them.
Speaking of blending knitting with cross stitch have you seen Brooke's books stitching alphabet. Perhaps would be idea for your assigned stitching stitch along
Love your predictions. Can’t wait to see how they play out? You may have already mentioned on previous flosstubes, but can you share information about you iPad holder on you Lowry stand?
This was really fun and I really hope some of these trends manifest. Especially Nosferatu! I loved the color scheme, the aesthetic, all of it. I've already stitched the Witchy Stitcher's Black Phillip sampler, so hopefully, she'll be a fan of this movie too.
i stitched a really cute Anne of Green Gables piece by StitchingBook Club last year and it called for a nice light sunshine yellow and there were so few options! i ended up going with picture this plus Chime and it worked so well with the flosses.
I’m loving these trend videos! I think you are spot on with the grayscale color palette; I just received an email from a company featuring a very low volume, gray to slate color palette. It was pretty traditional, I’ll be interested to see modern, gothier interpretations! Ok, now to watch the rest of the video!
Predictions / things is like to see - a coming together of the cross stitch community hosting stitch together events, more creative finishes / mixed media / stitching on clothing more / stitching and wool appliqué merging of crafts type of projects, I’d love to see a stitch along where people choose little elements from big patterns and stitch just the little bit of them, and patterns where you stitch only the background and the empty space is the actual fabric
I love the pink and green prediction. I love all things Lilly Pulitzer and beachy vibes, so I've converted patterns to pink and green before. Would love to see more of that!
That red prediction I am personally following! I bought xjudesign devils kiss fabric and I want to put everything on it! And if Amy from threadgremlins starts red deer sampler Im kitted and READY! Also so funny that bestitchme just announced a new red. Love the video!
I like your prediction of the 20ct Aida because I just signed up to my first fabric of the month club and I requested 20ct Aida and I’ve been doubting my decision until I saw your video 😊
As always, delightful. But I do have a question about just what 20 ct. aida looks like before I buy any. Is it a typical weave like the other Aida you buy, or is it really an open evenweave formerly known as hardanger? I have heard both. I have looked up the definition and what I have seen is it is an open evenweave style. Open evenweave to me means not Aida. Any clarification of this definition would be very helpful. Thank you.
The 20 count aida that I have purchased does not have an open weave. I purchased from Fiber on a Whim, Bestitchme and Zweigart. It is equivalent to stitching in a 40 count linen, but over one square rather than two linen threads so it’s much easier to see
The trailer for Nosferatu looks so good, but I think it would be too scary for me to see in the theater! I'd love to see some Nosferatu-inspired color pallets though!
I just saw Nosfraru and I hope the costume designer gets an Oscar nod. When Willem Dafoe plays one of the lest disturbing characters in a movie, you know it will be remarkable.
Okay but I definitely think you're on to something with the nosforatu/valentine/horror thing. Creepy-cute things have been becoming more popular in recent years and I know a lot of designers who have a style that's fit for that cross over. Personally I believe (in tandem with more soft pastel/spring colors you mentioned) we will see more "hopecore" type designs with uplifting phrases and inspiring symbolic motifs. Given the current climate of our world, a lot of people are in dark places and I think the message of hope and overcoming adversity will be very common, not just in cross stitch either.
Fun! I hope most of your predictions come true. Not a big yellow fan. I'd like to see more pdfs. I love to stitch, but my vision isn't great and I use a magnifier and load my patterns onto my laptop so I can enlarge them. I'd LOVE to see one of the pattern softwares become windows friendly.
Crazy but I have plans for a blue-gray Namarie Tapestry and a wine red The Dwarven Axe both by modern folk embroidery. So that definitely fits your first two predictions. 😂
Great idea! Thank goodness you didn’t predict lot of Pantone color of the year- that baby poo color is awful! Yay for dainty borders and deep cherry red💕
I appreciate that you’re a naturally intuitive individual but I feel like you should buy a lotto ticket bc I think I’ve seen an increase of (in?) multiple of these on the gram over the last couple days 😅 I wish I was right about this prediction but I would dieee over a Lola Crow laboratory-themed SAL. Idk if the world is ready but this nerd is 👩🔬🧪🔬
I wouldn't be mad if the color pallette from Nosferatu happened. Not a spring girly though. Vintage clowns/circus I could get on board with. Not 90's vintage, but VINTAGE, vintage (early 1900's to the 70's). I appreciate asymmetry, but my brain really prefers symmetry. Grandmacore yes...but it cannot lean towards shabby chic at all.
if Lola crow didn't have a circus or museum theme SAL planned, they're GONNA after this. those are excellent ideas!
I would love to live in your cross stitch world and already want to grab so many of the palettes you’ve shown! Such a fun video! Ooh, that would be pretty awesome! 🤯

I agree that 20 count Aida is pure comfort stitching and I wish more companies dyed it. One of my goals for the year is to buy a couple of metres and play with dyes.
BeStitchMe offers 20 as one of their Fabric of the Month Club options and that's been great for building my stash!
I’m loving your trends! I have felt similarly about some of the things you mentioned - especially with the spring palettes. I literally just bought a ton of pinks and greens to design with.
And I did forget to put music in the beginning 😅
A Lola Crow circus SAL would be amazing! I’m down for any kind of circus or clown pattern.
I’m all for transparent SALs. I wish more designs would share the finished piece then they could still release it in parts.
Girrrllll!!! This whole video is a trend! 😍I love all your predictions, and such good ideas. I am here for the monochrome. Something I'd definitely like to try this year.
Such a fun video Cam. My prediction (manifestation?) is that more stitchers are going to give their first “fancy lady” a try. Fingers crossed!
Hi Cam. I really enjoyed your video. I especially love the story or mood boards you used. And I knew I was right 😂😂😂
A Lola Carnival would be VERY cool. I think it might be a Jungle or Zoo theme. Something more "animal". Like poisonous frogs, snakes etc. 1 vote for you on "museum".
This is a fun video ! ❤ I’m so in with the green and pinks trend !
i’m biased because I love that color palette, floral grandma 🤣🤣
That was a fun video. I liked hearing your take on trends. It will be fun to see how the year goes versus what you predicted.
I love the idea of something in the sky! Yes, it’s hard to find balance sometimes but at the end of the day we are all doing something we love 💞
What a fun extra! Thanks for sharing with us😊
I'm glad you enjoyed it!

Yes! I think you nailed it with those predictions! ☺️
Oh awesome! I hadn’t watched their channel, so I will check it out

yes! I saw that after I filmed and was like welp that’s going on the wishlist 😂
Literally thought "florals for spring? groundbreaking..." right as you said it hahaha
I had to 😂
Bring on the fruit and the freaky circus! I love this and find it so fascinating! Can’t wait to see what the year brings!
I’m here for freak show
These are some really great predictions Cam! I loved all your ideas and am really excited to see, what will happen this year! 😍 Great video! ❤️
Yes I agree with a lot of your predictions! I just did a large color conversion for Consider The Lilies last night with a lot of deep reds and purples! And yes - more floral designs!!
My predictions/hot takes:
In: Fancy wizards
Out: Fancy ladies
Also a resurgence in wanting to find and stitch vintage kits, or people finding joy in picking up very old, abandoned projects and completing them.
I’m soooo in for fancy wizards 💯💯💯
Speaking of blending knitting with cross stitch have you seen Brooke's books stitching alphabet. Perhaps would be idea for your assigned stitching stitch along
why did the 2025 prediction board made me laugh so hard? Cam you are amazing, I love watching your video's.
hahaha 😂 glad you enjoyed ☺️
These were all great predictions, Cam. I’m here for the florals, spring colours, small quakers, and aida usage (I stitch on aida)
PINK AND GREEN Im sat for that! Gelphie is everywhere for those with eyes to see!
So fun! Loved this one! I hope your prediction of more bugs comes true! 🐞 ❤
Love your thoughts!!❤❤
Love your predictions. Can’t wait to see how they play out? You may have already mentioned on previous flosstubes, but can you share information about you iPad holder on you Lowry stand?
I just purchased it from amazon, it’s technically for an exercise bike or treadmill but it works for the lowery stand as well!
I found on website Creative Poppy patterns quite few Biscornu patterns and mini samplers.
I’m loving these trend videos! I think you are spot on with the grayscale color palette; I just received an email from a company featuring a very low volume, gray to slate color palette. It was pretty traditional, I’ll be interested to see modern, gothier interpretations! Ok, now to watch the rest of the video!
I would LOVE for Lola Crow to do a museum themed ( natural history style) SAL!❤
That was so much fun! Great predictions. No matter what happens it’s gonna be a good stitching year!!
So fun! I'm expecting an influx of Wicked themed patterns (lots of green witches!).
Also adding - more Capybara patterns!
I think the Blue Flower is coming out with a pattern soon featuring Capybara’s!
Those are all amazing ideas and I hope to see some of them come to fruition!
I love this video! All of your predictions are very well thought out and I can’t wait to see what this year holds for stitching!
Love the video!
yes! I saw the bestitchme fabric a couple of hours after uploading and my jaw dropped
What a fun video! I think I might DIE of disappointment if Lola Crow doesn't do an aviary at some point. And YES to samplers with small borders!
An aviary would be incredible! I think that's a great idea.
I like your prediction of the 20ct Aida because I just signed up to my first fabric of the month club and I requested 20ct Aida and I’ve been doubting my decision until I saw your video 😊
You made a great choice! I think you’ll love it!
OMG This is brilliant! I cannot wait to see how it all plays out and for your reaction at the end of year!
Me too! It’s going to be fun to see how things go! 😄
Love the predictions. Want to see an end of the year follow up on accuracy. My favorite, pink and green. I love a pink and green combo!
Hi. Great video. Just wondering. In the background you have a tablet clamp attached to your lowery stand. Would you share where it comes from please.
I ordered it from amazon! Here is the link:

LOVED this vid!!! I'm predicting even more flosstube channels to watch, given sharing our love of all fiber arts is exploding.
The queen has posted ❤❤❤❤👑👑👑🎉🎉🎉🎉🥰🥰🥰
omg i predicted circus/bigtop/freakshow for the lola crow SAL too! i really hope we're right that would be sooo cool
Yep… I’m here for pink and green… was just starting to plan something it that colour way the other day ❤
Manifesting a few of these with you!!
Victorian/ romantic goth era for sure! I think we are all going to be in need of escapism.
💯💯💯
That was fun! I’m here for all the dainty borders!
interesting thoughts ... I will need to think about this
Fun predictions!
Especially love your predictions for granny core, pink and green, and DMC.
I love this - such an interesting take on 2025!
Love it!
As always, delightful.

💯💯💯
This was fun and interesting! Makes me think........!
these are all manifesting and i support u!!! also definitely the black samplers. i did 20 count aida cause idk i was scared of linen
hahaha like I said, I’m definitely biased and part of this is manifesting 😂
Okay but I definitely think you're on to something with the nosforatu/valentine/horror thing. Creepy-cute things have been becoming more popular in recent years and I know a lot of designers who have a style that's fit for that cross over.

What about an old archived OOP pattern being released as a pdf
I hear ya! I much prefer pdf patterns
Crazy but I have plans for a blue-gray Namarie Tapestry and a wine red The Dwarven Axe both by modern folk embroidery. So that definitely fits your first two predictions. 😂
I’m so excited for you to stitch these! Those colors are going to be gorgeous. ✨
Great idea! Thank goodness you didn’t predict lot of Pantone color of the year- that baby poo color is awful! Yay for dainty borders and deep cherry red💕
Yes!! That brown color was very in during 2020 but I don’t think it’s an accurate trendy color for 2025 😅
It would be so fun if in one year you react to this video and see how much of it came true/showed up in your stitching! 💜
Yes! I can’t wait to react to myself 😂
Love this!! :)
Granny Core! OMG I love it!!! You have to do. #grannycore2025SAL. 👵
💜💜💜
I want mushrooms!
I’m really hoping for a patriotic mirabilia for americas 250th birthday in 2026
I appreciate that you’re a naturally intuitive individual but I feel like you should buy a lotto ticket bc I think I’ve seen an increase of (in?) multiple of these on the gram over the last couple days 😅
