    🧿Quote:
    I've never once thought of you as an ally. Not you. Not Kushida. Not Hirata. All people are nothing but tools. It doesn't matter how it's done. It doesn't matter what needs to be sacrificed. In this world, winning is everything. As long as I win in the end...That's all that matters.
    🧿Ayanokoji:
    If I may?
    I'd like to pose an interesting question.
    Are all human beings truly equal?
    These days everywhere you go there's talk about the fight for equality. As a wise man once said heaven does not create one person above or below another. People like to throw his words around but that's not the whole quote. He goes on to say that while we are all equal at birth, pretty soon things begin to change. Academic effort is what sets some people apart to rise above the others.
    At any rate, humans change over time based on their actions. Truth be told, at the end of the day, equality is just a fantasy and most of us go through life denying the fact that we live in a meritocracy.

    Kiyotaka Ayanokōji (綾あやの小こう路じ 清きよ隆たか, Ayanokōji Kiyotaka) is the main protagonist of the You-Zitsu series. He is currently a second-year student of Advanced Nurturing High School. Following the entrance exam in which he scored precisely 50 points in every subject, he was placed in D-Class. In the anime adaptation, he sits at the rear left corner of the class seat next to Suzune Horikita.

Regardless of being good or bad, impressive feats are always inspirational regardless of the person. Yagami hated kiyotaka but it caused him to try much harder and caused him to keep going until he surpassed him

As Ayanokoji said people can use academic effort to rise up but what about those who can't? There isn't enough empathy in this world mainly because being apathetic is just easier but as a result it just makes things worse more often than not. If people would just listen for just a little while or a bit of meditation, they would realize that this "society" is corrupted. We all say we want to help but do people actually care? I am sorry, but I think I have to respectfully disagree. There is a difference between equality and similarity. These two concept are often interchange. In the world of mathematics, two different variables can be equal, like in a linear equations. You can find a single solution set in completely different equation. This goes the same with people. Equality is determine per objective that is realistic and time bound, so if the objective is being happy on a specific day, a completely broke person who find happiness in every little thing they have VS billionaire who find happiness in spending money, we can say that these two are equal, in a sense that they both achieve their goal--finding happiness in their own way. So in order to narrow down the gap of inequality, we must look at the critera, what aspect, what objective are we talking about and then create a flexible method that consider our individuality to achieve them the goal at indiviual level. we dont need to be the same to be equal.

    • @luisiana1121
      @luisiana1121 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@hiimain7932 you can talk about in a roundabout way what is or isn't equality, but equality is literally being the same in every sense of the word - That is how I see equality. Your example reinforces that nothing is equal in receipt of different methods to achieve that subjective feeling of happiness which is the objective of most people. You see equality in a different sense than I do; That in essence further encapsulates that the concept of equality is nothing but a simple fantasy to comfort ourselves blinding us to the grossly unequal world we all live in.
      Unless every single person is homogenous down to our thoughts and to our atom, then we can never be equal. That is not a bad thing nor a good thing but just how the world is regardless of our feelings and opinions in the matter.
      In fact, "equality" isn't the right word especially when it keeps on being flung around like candy as it slowly loses its meaning in countless fits of passion. "Fairness" is the name of the game despite its very fallible, contentious and subjective nature.

    That is very true. Both with the angle from either birth or merit. We humans are all inherently different. At birth, some are born to wealthier families, some not, some are born disfigured, some beautiful, some are more intelligent, others not so lucky. Disregarding birth, there is the fact that we all change as we go through life. Some may pursue careers that require more able bodied individuals. Some encounter more misfortune than anyone else. Some are just lucky to get by.
    From both birth, and the paths we walk, we are all different. Equality really is an illusion

    Ayanokoji is pretty right we all arent equal it's just a fantasy that we dream of, it's the same as how we arent equal in the choice in the facts we choose we dont choose the harsh and truthful facts about us, we humans choose the less harsh and comfortable or a fact that we think is suitable to us, thus we fantasize about the less harsh fact and we think is right. Meritocracy is a complete myth, the social class of your family, the country your born in, the education your gonna receive, the social standing of where your gonna grow up. These are enormous factors that's gonna heavely influence your life that are completly out of your control. Not saying there is no merit in what you accomplish, but we are far from living in this meritocracy and we probably never will.

    • @yarxulf
      @yarxulf ปีที่แล้ว +8

      you're arguing two different things here. a meritocracy is formed based on your ability and what you accomplish - it has nothing to do with the social class of your family, where/under which circumstances you're born, etc. that's an argument of equality of opportunity, which of course, we currently do not have. i also don't believe we live in a meritocracy, but they're two completely difference conversations.

      Meritocracy is the fundamental law of the universe. If I have the ability to take, and I choose to take; then I have taken. It is as simple as that. Things can muddy up the process, but it's fundamentally impossible to disconnect achievement from merit, might, strength and general ability.
      As for society, I agree that the process is very muddy rn; but Meritocracy shines through regardless. The social class of your family doesn't matter much unless you're an idiot, in which case you need the inheritance and aid. Country you're born in doesn't matter as much now-a-days thanks to Globalism democratizing opportunity across borders; the amount of third-worlders leaving their home to pursue careers in the First-World is higher than ever. Education doesn't matter at all due to knowledge being available freely online, you can outpace an MBA with the right resources and jumpstart that entrepreneurial venture you've been dreaming about.
      These things influence your life, but only as much as your own lack of ability allows them to.

      Also, as someone already replied, no matter if you're "normal" or disabled, all you can do at that age is cry. Yes, they may not be physically equal now.
      Then, academic efforts put by the kid will also be a factor of difference between two children. Environment, in which someone's surrounded by, affects the mindset and personality in my perspective, Ayanokoji's words are true. A LOT of these factors are there for people to not be equal.

    How are we all equal at birth? From the moment you come in this world there are already settled facts. Are you really telling me that a poor african child who tries to survive everyday has the same opportunities of a rich american boy who has everything he wants since birth? Those are antipodes, but there are many hidden privileges and disadvantages. Enviroment, exposure to culture, art, music,money, family situation are all variable that could change and shape a person while growing up. Would a person ,who's forced to drop out of school due to family 's economical condition, have the same life of one who didn't need to worry about money? would a person who's grown in a toxic family enviroment have the same mentality, mental health, level of happiness and trust like one who's grown in a lovely family? I don't think so. Why child of famous musicians often become skilled themselves? Same goes for Nba player's child. It's because they are exposed to a certain enviroment since young age, getting proper coaching etc... Also genetics and enviroment play a huge role in IQ, height, strength. In the early years the enviroment you're in plays a huge factor in how your brain developes. It's called critical period, many things and behaviours you absorb during those years are very difficult to change. I'm not saying that it's impossible to reach the same level of success of priviged people, i mean you have to work a lot harder than them and maybe still have less chance. It's like having and iron starter pack vs a diamond one, or fighting with a lv 1 sword vs a fully enchanted one. I think that saying we're all equal at birth and that this society is meritocratic is bullshit. It would be meritocratic if we all start at the same lv, which is impossible.
