low battery voltage message is a warning that happens when the charge voltage drops less that 13.0V while the engine is running until the computer finishes a diagnostic cycle. the message only goes away if the voltage stays at normal operation. to repair this problem the alternator, battery or IBS must be replace depending on the problem you have.
this problem will affect the following models

I have a device that displays system voltage, current draw (at the lighter plug) and two USB power sockets plugged into the lighter. When the bat charge is low this will show 14.7 volts. When the bat is near full charge the voltage goes down ~13.3 volts. Usually have a low charge as I only do short hops in my 750ix. Nice shirt by the way.
Dont you mean the reverse, how is the charge low at 14.7, unless you are speaking of when the car is running and this is the alternator charring the battery and at the 13.3 volts is not charging the battery as much?
@@coolarrow9127 When the battery is low the system/alternator puts out higher voltage to charge battery back up. Once its charged the voltage drops down.
When I start the car the voltage always goes to 14.7 then after driving a while ~30 to 45 mins voltage goes down to the 13 range. I think if the voltage is not cut back on a charged battery it will boil out a lot of the electrolyte.

I have a 2011 328xi drive .My car was running great next day went to start it and it started ,sound fine lights and radio came on and this kept happening fine. My key fob was already dying slowly would not lock car at all but Now my car is dead completely flat .Everyone saying sounds like Alternator. Could you help me I.E Euros please 🙏 or if anyone know what it may be. THANKS 😊
