My hair was really dark when I was a baby, then almost glow-in-the-dark-blond when I was a kid, and now it's a darkish brown. Always wondered why that happens.
Here's a comment theory: The dog could be David's step dad which is why we have "Bad Dad Bad Kid" and why David's biological dad isn't there. DAVID'S MOM, HAD AN AFFAIR WITH ARTHUR. David's biological dad, who I suspect works for Gammon, used the technology from his company to trap Arthur. But Arthur escapes and understands how Gammon is more defined and better than his current company. This is why there's a room with artefacts from David's House specifically instead of others from the other 12 victims. Once Arthur escapes, he gets back his job so that they could research him. Arthur is AWARE of the void which leads him on his mission to become immortal. Also why the door says "Welcome Home". Because he's been there. Also he may had wanted to do this as revenge against David's bio dad. Because he can now control everything that gets uploaded into mythOS, he could potentially make David's bio dad's life hell. But that's just a theory, A COMMENT THEORY, thanks for reading😋
Yeah I was actually thinking maybe Arthur might be something else cause if you see Hall of the robot king, there is a blond protagonist, what if THAT is David fighting against Arthur who has become the Evil entity. And yeah maybe the dog isn't Arthur's BIOLOGICAL dad... So maybe the guy in the dog costume is not the real father and kills the mom for the affair and wants to kill David because he's a child of affair.
Dude this is WAY more likely than the Arthur is David theory. This needs more attention also if Arthur’s really doing all this just to get back at the actual dad, that’s some reverse flash levels of petty 💀
Matt: "Well, the Dog is David." Me: "What kinda fool do you take me for? The kid is David, Arthur is David, the dog is David, I AM DAVID! Are there any other Davids I should know about?" Cat clock: "Meow."
Mini-Mini theory: Welcoming Arthur home to fantasyland, could also mean he found a safe space in video games, which could also be another slight parallel to David.
GT: David is Arthur Me: Sure, entirely possible GT: David is Arthur and the Dog Me: What is this, some sort of Father, Son and Holy Spirit kinda deal???
I know this is 4 years late, but I'm revisiting some of my favorite videos on this channel and I wanted to share my own thoughts on this theory. Personally, I have a different theory for which character is which, and my only evidence for it relates to the hair colors, since the differing hair and eye colors of David and Arthur just strain my credibility of this theory. In _Duck Season's_ "Stuck Forever" ending, the TV comes back on to show a different kid - one with brown hair and brown eyes. I know that the "Stuck Forever" ending isn't the canon ending, but it at least shows that a kid like this exists in this in-game universe. It could be that THIS kid is a young Arthur Ford, and he ended up learning about the Void from the cursed _Duck Season_ cartridge (since he probably ends up going through something similar to what David goes through). And as for David... well, in that poster for "Hall of the Machine King", it shows a huge robot glaring down at a man - likely the protagonist of that game - and the man clearly has blonde hair. That man could very well be David, meaning that he's possibly the protagonist in "Hall of the Machine King". It's probably not true, since I have even less evidence for it than Matpat has for his own theory here, but it still makes sense to me.
Here’s a point you didn’t mention. In the two employees’ conversation in the last theory, the unknown employee mentioned that the only company that has already tapped into the void was “Sabrelake.” Flashback to your playthrough of Duck Season VR. In the Easter Egg showcase room you discovered at the end of the stream, there was a model of an officer in full uniform. Next to him was a logo labeled “Safety Agent Sabrelake.” This agency is obviously tied to the Sabrelake company mentioned by the Monogon employees and the “Hall of the Machine King” game. Through this information, we know that Monogon wasn’t the first company to tamper with the void, and could have possibly caused the events of “Hall of the Machine King.” But that’s just a theory...
Spooky Filmz Ent. Hi, I disliked for you. Congrats on the almost 500k dislikes! You get the satisfaction of saying “Sorry bro, you’re wrong” to those who say “There is no such thing as bad publicity.”
I was another such kid: bright blonde with hazel eyes until I was about in middle school, then my hair darkened until I started dying it myself to make it stop looking grey and now it stays brown when it grows out. One of my kid brothers? He was the same way. Except he had blue eyes that darkened to brown in middle school, as well as the hair. Human phenotypal changes are just crazy.
Maybe the dog's psycopathic behavor is related with him having already lived the Machine King apocalyps, wether is him the master mind behind the machines or not, all the stress, trauma, killing and warping throu planes of excistence let him not only with the mission of killing his mom and himself in the past (thing that actually wouldn't work since it would provoke a paradox) but also with a shatered mind and sadistic behavor most of the time, this would also explain why the dog has such a smoking habit, the nicotine maybe relaxes him enough to not totaly lose his already decaying sanity, but hey, thats just q theory (sorry for any gramatical mistakes, english is not my first lenguage)
"Appropriate amount of force." Remember that alien they capture in the movie Independence Day? Will Smith just punches it once. You gotta AT LEAST double tap THAT thing. From a helicopter eye level to a murderous human in a dogsuit on the lawn.... man, I get it. You just gotta make sure.
I'm guessing they were special forces or some sort of military task force to get away with that "appropriate" amount of force because no police officer would ever get away with that! The media would be all over it and the officer that fired the shots and the one that gave the order would not only be fired for excessive force but also arrested and convicted in a court of law for the unlawful and unnecessary murder of a civilian.
To address the "hair color" loophole to this theory: All my siblings were born with bright blonde hair that turned brown. Might this be similar? Also, if I were on the run and wanted to change myself to the point of changing my name, wouldn't it make sense to change your appearance also? Such as hair dye, a wig, etc? Just speculation, as you said. But I like the theory.
My hair color has also darkened over the years. Born strawberry blonde, was a platinum blonde until... 2nd grade? By which point i was a dishwater blonde. Simply light brown to a lot of folks. Now it all depends on the lighting and exactly where on my head you look. Some dark brown, some light, some still a daek blonde, and even spots where it looks ginger.
Same, all my siblings and I began blonde and are now all varying shades of darker. I think two of us could be considered dirty blonde, but the other two of us are definitely brunette now. My mom also had blonde hair as a child and now her hair is a pretty dark brown... well, grey, now, I guess. But all through my childhood she had very dark hair.
Little addition I wanna make, it could be that in different timelines, all the endings are canon, and each ending is with different Arthur-dogs from different timelines as well. While this world's Canon ending has David on the run and growing up into Arthur, he may go back as the dog with a different goal and cause a different ending, which loops to cause another different ending, and eventually it comes full circle to cause the Canon ending to in order to stop the mom from working on her game. The different endings cause different futures and motivations for David/Arthur, and most of them cause him to feel the need to go back and try to "fix" what happened as the different entities in the different timelines release what's in the void.
Maybe Arthur is David's Dad, explains the hair color, name difference, baseball knob (a gift to his son) and welcome home post. didn't look into it, just a thought
Game Theory: "Here's a bizarre thing that makes 0 sense, therefore theory, which also makes no sense, aren't we clever?" Game Mini Theory: "Here's a blatant clear and obvious link. We're probably wrong" Me: "what...?"
@@DamnedPunk135 he’s trapped inside the game and is waiting for his young self (this is just a answer I thought of right when I saw the comment so don’t roast me too hard if it is not the correct answer)
I have a theory, after the ending of duck season where the dog dies, David is put in witness protection where his name is then changed and was adopted afterwards by the Ford family. He works on the other side of the company that created duck season, he is trying to destroy the dog permanently and that’s why he works on both sides to destroy the dog and save his victims, or the shadow figures from the ending. He worked for the other company to get into the void so he cand defeat the dog and the other cryptids once and for all.
The idea of David going back to change the timeline could explain the other ghostly entities in the games ending. If a new time line is created a new version of David enters the void. That’s why there are multiple endings in duck season. If the mini theory is 100% right then we are witnessing the one of the later versions of the timeline in duck seasons cannon ending and bone works
Alpha Cat77 the “Canon” ending is like, the 3rd ending in Duck Season! And weren’t there two spirits twitching about at the ending of Boneworks? I think...
When you talked about the pipes in the house, in a past episode of this mini trilogy, there was a conversation talking about this. “Piping in void energy,” I think. Very intriguing, keep it up
13:42 It could also be the fact that David (Arthur) suffered a very, very traumatizing event, that his mum was brutally slaughtered and butchered and that a man in a dog suit escaped a game and then attempted to attack David. So it could be trauma that changed his hair and eye colour.
What if the void remains devoured his house. Leaving nothing and Monogon used it. And Arthur/David is finally going back into the void. What his home is now. And along with it. His mother’s dead body. Or as I think the glitch thing that welcomed him home. It would explain why he is brought to Fantasy Land. His mother’s unfinished job. Maybe a sign that’s saying: It’s Mom
Actually, sometime around when I was 15 my eye color changed. It didn’t get darker, as would assist the theory, but went from dark brown to hazel. So...there’s that.
I think that the dog isn't anyone we know from the game, and I don't think that the number on the tape refers to the amount of victims. I think that the dog's name is 12 and that he is another void being like 9 the cat. The "it's me"/dog ending sounds more like dog (12) is beckoning David to come to the void and pull the strings like he is, possibly so he can escape and have the void game Duck Season still have someone to control it so that more void beings or more void juice or whatever can be harvested. I do agree that Arthur is probably going to be the main villian/protragonist in the next game tho. but thats just my theory. a regular person theory
something to note is that in one of the non-canon Duck Season endings, David is seen a little older with brown hair and glasses. contacts aren't too far-fetched!
Okay so slz said that David isn't ford though I don't have a link but ask in the offical slz discord you will find it heres the link imgur.com/a/9xOvN3g
This gives me the scary feeling that he may be right. I mean... for once, everything adds up, there aren't any loopholes, no loose ends. If this theory is true, Matt Pat is officially a prophet. Because through all of his theories, he is either completely wrong, or 100% right.
@@gracefulcubix4730 He didn't destroy anything. The movies would be the same regardless of anything he did. If people took them way too seriously that's not on him.
The last time the void opend was 30 years ago that is what was told to us during boneworks in that case we should have a 40~41 year old arthur not 20 something
The first time the void was opened was when they found the rock and that closed or broke and now they're using it as something to make games so they probably haven't opened it yet
The 30 years thing appears when David is a boy, as it appears as text on the screen in Duck Season, not Boneworks. Besides, Boneworks takes place only 10 to 15 years afterwards (DS = mid-1980s, BW = late-1990s). Oops, just finished the video and realised that this takes place only 9 years later, not 10-15
Just imagine if Scott Cawthon and Stress Level Zero partner up and make a game ...that would be like the avengers , the developers are thanos and Game Theory are the avengers...That would be so cool
0:49 What a great way to acknowledge the greatness of that other theory. Sure, Toby Fox may have said the theory was false, but it sure generated so many fan ideas, fan art, jokes, and may have even contributed to Sans making it into Smash as a Mii Fighter. Great way to poke fun at your own past. I still really liked the theory even if it turned out to be wrong.
The Trashbin The Trashbin when GameTheory covers anything, it boosts its exposure exponentially if it wasn’t a first party game by any of the major companies. Undertale already had pretty decent exposure, but every bit (especially from a channel with millions of subs) helps it gain more visibility and get people into Undertale. There’s almost no way Sans would have made it in had Undertale not become practically a meme and generate all the fan content it did, and I think MatPats video with literally 11Million views certainly helped more people get into Undertale. It isn’t the direct cause of Sans getting into Smash, no, but I do believe it played a good chunk in building up the popularity of the game even more to the point that Sans eventually made it.
LucarianSpy It may have had a bit of an effect for Sans’s popularity but it was not a good chunk. It was already a meme before MatPat’s video even came out. Plus the fact that Toby Fox had already became friends with Sakurai and add on that Deltarune Chapter 1 was on the Switch, I doubt that someone’s fun but objectively bad theory is a good chunk of the reason why Sans got into Smash.
The Trashbin I’m pretty sure the “Toby friends with Sakurai” and even “Deltarune Chapter 1” was predated by MatPat’s theory by at least several months. Original “Sans’ Secret identity!” Video was Feb 6, 2016. Deltarune came out on Oct 31 2018, over 2.5 years later. And I’m pretty sure MatPat’s theory is what essentially created the Sans is Ness memes, even if other people already may have suspected a similar theory: MatPat made it “gamer mainstream”.
Well, for the second question... keep in mind that David's dad is nowhere to be seen throughout the game. Even though he and his mother keep pictures of him and his team, either his mom and dad are divorced or his dad simply isn't around much, or at all. Also notice that in the "canon" ending, when David's mom dies and he leaves, he *doesn't* contact his father (or any other relative) but instead runs away on his own. This likely means, again, David's father isn't in touch with the family or he just doesn't have one, leaving a bit of resentment in David. As for the first one... not quite so sure. I haven't played Duck Season for myself, so I can't claim to know the finer details of the story and/or how it all goes down. However, it's also likely that David - as the Dog and going back in time - intended to destroy ALL video game systems related to Gammon and/or Monogon, not just the one he and his mom rented. It's also unlikely David's mom was the ONLY one working on the project for Fantasy Land; maybe the other families future David killed also had parents working on the game, and he killed them to prevent them from finishing the game as well. As for killing the kids, thougn, all I can reason is that future David doesn't want them to grow up after seeing their parents die and is killing them out of mercy or something (again, I know it's pretty flimsy but it's all I got at the moment). **TL;DR** The password "baddadbadkid" likely refers to David's dad just... NOT being a good dad, and not being there for his wife and son for whatever reason (again, makes sense considering David has no other parental figure to turn to when the Dog kills his mom and chooses instead to go on the run by himself). As for future David becoming the Dog and killing other families, they're also involved in making games tied to the Void and wants to stamp them out, saving his own for last since he probably knows that killing his child self would cause him to cease to exist (past-future shenanigans and whatnot).
@@mrreyes5004 ok, everything you just said is strong evidence towards why his dad is the dog and it makes a whole lot more sense than David the dog. I know he's not the dad but I'm not wrong, there's more evidence towards the dad theory (even tho it's been debunked) and little evidence towards david
@@Bean-mr8sf Yeah, like Daniel Shin said, the dad isn't the dog, and it actually DOESN'T make sense anymore. Like, what motive what his dad even have for killing his own family? Unlike future David, he has no idea about the connection between the game companies (Gammon, Monogon) and the Void, so no reason for him to go on a murder spree. Meanwhile, future David DOES know, so he's going back to off anyone who could possibly make a game connected to the Void (again, like his mother's Fantasy Land along with other company workers who he kills). As I said, the password "baddadbadkid" just refers to David's father just being a bad dad by not being there for his family - again, David deciding to go on the run means he has no other parental figure to go to or ask for help - so his dad has nothing to do with the Dog (seriously, I never implied that to be the case; how you got that, I legit don't know).
@@mrreyes5004 I'm saying that the dog being the dad still makes more sense than David although it's been confirmed he's not. I just said you explaining why he's not still made more sense than matpats theory. And if he does want to destroy all other consoles, then why does he take out the entire families? In the game there is a news report stating that the dog has caused several families to go "missing". I believe the dog is just a psychotic person who managed to get hold of the power of the void and he's no one special.

Game Theory: It’s a mini theory.

Mini theory: just a lilllll bit shorter (16 minutes)

My brother had blonde hair that went brown fairly young so yeah it's not far-fetched (I'm still blonde though 😂)
That's what he said.
I used to have blonde hair and blue eyes and now I have dark brown hair and green eyes, so I believe it is definitely possible.

He works on the other side of the company that created duck season, he is trying to destroy the dog permanently and that’s why he works on both sides to destroy the dog and save his victims, or the shadow figures from the ending. He worked for the other company to get into the void so he cand defeat the dog and the other cryptids once and for all.

I love how the mini theory is bigger than the regular theory
0:49 What a great way to acknowledge the greatness of that other theory. Sure, Toby Fox may have said the theory was false, but it sure generated so many fan ideas, fan art, jokes, and may have even contributed to Sans making it into Smash as a Mii Fighter. Great way to poke fun at your own past. I still really liked the theory even if it turned out to be wrong.
Well, it helping Sans get into Smash as a Mii Fighter is too far.
"appropriate amount of force" *as the mounted 50 cal. machine gun mag dumps a man in a dog suit*
Mag dump? Nah, belt dump. Gotta go the whole nine yards, quite literally in this case.
Wait so if David was the dog, then what was the point in killing all the other kids before David? And why was the ritual password thing baddadbadkid?
@@Bean-mr8sf yeah, but Stress Level Zero confirmed that the Dog is not the dad.
