I was in Disney land when I watched this, gave me trust issues with the animal mascots. My parents wondered what was going on I had to explain everything in front of the mascots as they made fake laughing gestures whenever I got to the dark parts. I also have a problem with how tall the mascots are.
Y'know, it was this video that made me fall in love with The Theorists in the first place, and it feels like it was just a week ago when I first watched this. First he was just a guy making theories and entertainment, now he's a father who taught his audience a ton of things about science and theorizing. We'll miss you Mat.

I remember when this theory first came out and it gave me nightmares, this game terrified me! One of the only “horror” things that gave me actual nightmares. Revisiting this now haha
This is a great theory but one hole I noticed was the end where he says the last ending is the happiest but all the information you got about the dog after the lightning cannot be trusted since it was told to you by the monkey and if you remember, earlier in the game you are warned against trusting the cat and monkey since they are liars. Along with that if you grab the necronomicon behind the pedestal at the final screen with the monkey and throw it at the door you see some very strange things. Anyways, great theory Matpat and I think that this game still needs just a bit more digging . EDIT: WOW thats a lot of likes, thanks a bunch guys. The thing that I find funny about this game is that Everyone's first reaction to seeing the dog was to shoot it, I haven't seen a single person whose played this game who hasn't got the bad ending first

I think that the reason for the dad killing the son, is because when the dad gets trapped in the game, the dog takes over his body and the dad’s spirit is what is looking at the dog at the end on the “dead” ending, and the dog waves as to say “yo I killed your entire family”

I think that the reason for the dad killing the son, is because when the dad gets trapped in the game, the dog takes over his body and the dad’s spirit is what is looking at the dog at the end on the “dead” ending, and the dog waves as to say “yo I killed your entire family”

I was watching CoryxKenshin playing duck season and during the dream sequence where you have to shoot your self laying on the couch to wake up the picture next to the computer that usually has a picture of you the kid, your mom and your dad, the dad in that picture in the dream is replaced with the dog!
