- How to sound like EVH Brownie Demo!
Here is my Demo of the NUX Brownie Distortion Pedal.
As always I divided my Video in several Parts. First Part is a play through of some different settings on Van Halen Songs like You really got me, Running with the devil, Feel your love tonight & Panama!
In the second part I played a little Loop and Re-Amped the Signal through the Brownie into a Fender Deluxe Clean Amp Sim ( Bias FX2). @positivegrid

I'm currently on a Van Halen tone chasing quest with my Axe-FX, feel free to check out my attempts. This pedal sounds good for VH tone in a box though.

It sounds nothing like EVH. The Fender Twin is a much too scooped-out sound. His tone was harmonically even, that's why he never believed in transistor distortion pedals, but instead had a Roland Graphic EQ to shape his signal before it hit the front of his Marshall. The Brownie sounds like an updated RAT, and useful for boosting Marshall JCM2000 series for a meaty tone.
Nope... sorry but I don't hear the Eddie brown sound in this... it just sounds a little too chain saw in a tin can for me... I was really hoping this would've sounded good.
