Heidi, I am so sorry this is happening. This is so traumatic. I know how much you are into hair care. My daughter is a junior hair stylist, and I often think and worry about accidents like this. Anyway, we are here for you.
Heidi, I had this happen to me. The stylist sent me home without telling me my hair was broken off in the back. It has been a journey, I used K18, Olaplex and coconut oil, stopped using hot tools and baby my hair for a year. It was tough but we will be on this journey with you. I know you will teach us how to get through this with the style and grace. Your videos are always a learning experience.
Hello again…just another thought…having been a salon owner I definitely would have offered you free conditioning treatments for a full year if someone in my salon had done that damage to your hair !! You have every right to ask for this !! They are lucky you aren’t suing them ! There’s no reason you should have to spend your money on treatments for the damage they caused !! Also closely monitor what type of conditioning treatment they are using and how they are performing the service and definitely speak up if you don’t like or feel comfortable with something !! Please keep us informed of your progress !!
Please please do not put coconut oil in your hair this will coat your hair this will stop products repairing your hair as it coats the hair shaft and is very hard to get out…. K18 definitely use however don’t use all the time mix this up with a moisturising shampoo and condition another awesome product is Redkin Acidic bonding shampoo and conditioner the leave in treatment is amazing too… another product that is awesome for a leave in is color wow dream coat cocktail this has coconut in it that is perfect for your hair… just a note please go back to the salon to get reimbursement for all these products advice from a hairdresser and educator it will be ok
Honestly, my hair has never been better ever since I stopped bleaching my hair. No joke I get so many compliments on my healthy long black hair all the time now. Hair is not meant to be bleached at all. Unfortunately, it has consequences I have a similar story.

Would you be willing to share more details about what exactly the stylist did to your hair? What products did she use/ not use? Did she leave the bleach on too long, etc? Thank you for sharing ❤
how long were your hair roots ?
Heidi! I feel your pain. This happened to me in my senior year in H.S. and again when I was pregnant. It broke from the roots & took about 3 years years to get my hair back. I can’t believe ppl are still having this happen to them by professionals. I’m so sorry. It’s a costly and emotionally draining experience. 😢 We are here for you!

It happened with me after that I gave up to be blonde, gone back to my natural color, cut my hair at home and I took a suplement that makes miracle it is pantogar 3x per day. I feel really sorry for you, Everybody that watches your channel knows how much your hair is important for you. My hair recover but took so long time that I was traumatezed and do everything own my own.

Dear Heidi, I am extremely sorry that this has happened to you. This video gave me bad anxiety and I can only imagine how this situation must make you feel. As a guy with long hair who is also really really attached to his hair as it is sort of a part of me and my personality I can totally relate that this feels much worse than people who say stuff like "it will grow back, its just hair" will ever be able to realize.
