    I just changed my battery and never lost any data. I just had to hold the power button on the radio for 3 seconds after the new battery was installed, I did install the large battery with more CCA. Great Video

    Hi Roy, Thank you. I am leaving my Honda CRV 2015 in storage for 4 months. Can I just disconnect the terminals before leaving it to avoid parasite draw or battery use up? Will it start once I am back and connect battery with terminals again? Thank you

      That’s a good way to save your battery, 4 months is a smidge long. Your car should start up no problem after reconnecting BUT you may (or may not, depending on your car) lose your presets on your radio or chair etc. and it may idle a little slower. Your vehicle’s computer will be able to relearn to eventually though. Hope that helps and thanks for watching 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

    Hi Roy, I just replaced my battery following your video and lost all my ECU memory since I didn't have the backup powerbank. Strangely, the clock on infotainment automatically resets everytime I start the car and I lost the driver side door handle touch sensor... I tried factory reset on my infotainment that didn't do much. Any advice for me? Thanks a lot!

      Your best bet would be to contact the manufacturer and see what they say. Some cars might need a code or something to get it working properly again. I hope that helps and thanks for watching 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

    my honda's negative terminal doesn't tighten all the way as it seems loose enough for me to wiggle, mind you im already using impact tools as well as hand tools, could it be buildup of corrosion around that negative terminal?

    Hi Roy, I didn’t connect jumper connector before exchanging the battery, now I could not adjust my crv clock , when I set up the clock, but it still back to old time when I restart my car. Do you have any idea about that? Thanks

    Could you connect a second battery to the battery terminals so when connected from the main battery D.C. is never removed from the pos and neg cable?

      Sorry about the late response. You can definitely do that but make absolutely sure that the connection don’t get loose/come off. Thanks for watching 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

    What happened if you loose the memory on your ECU?

    • @RoysGarage808
      @RoysGarage808  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sometimes it's very minor like having to reset the clock and losing your radio presets but sometimes it's more problematic like yourcsr being able to idle properly or radio completely not working; usually happens with the newer cars with more techy electronical components and in most cases you have to take it to the dealership to get some special code/programming or something like that. I hope hat answered your question and thanks for watching.
