Your videos make me spend so much time in practice mode, testing stuff out. I played DB in HS, so I definitely like to be sound on defense. I am trying to teach my friends this stuff so we can run it in 3v3. Match coverage, makes defense so much more fun, instead of just trying to read all of the routes. Appreciate you man.
Late comment but for why Madden has the vertical determination at 8 or 9 yards -- its because the majority of routes break at that depth. Think of it as a line of commitment. The biggest reasoning are double moves, if you think of most double moves the "fake" move is before 8 yards, like a hitch and go, sluggo, etc. If you are in a MOD assignment and the WR cuts at 6 yards, don't respect it; instead respect your deep zone assignment so that when the WR cuts deep you are sitting on top of it. They want to run 8 yard curl and goes, let them. Few Olines can hold up that long.

No. Once you learn Quarters coverage. It doesnt matter what personnel you send out there. With match on . . . Your corner is reading 1 to 2 Safety 2 to 1 Quarter flat is match 2 out player . . . relate to 2 3 rec is your relate to 3 player. Doesn't matter if your Quarter flat player is a linebacker or nickel . . .responsibility in the coverage is the same.@@BenjaminRivera-pu7hk

I think just a standard nickel defense. Defensive formations doesn't change the responsibilities when you call the coverage.
