Just came across this channel and 3 min into the video I subscribed. Glad to hear somebody talk ball and be able to replicate it into Madden and not just exploit the broken programming in the game. Madden isn't quite what it used to be but hopefully it can become an authentic simulation game.

feels like they're slowing adding in checks. started with palms, added willie. hopefully that can build on that. maybe something in the c3 department maybe. i just miss being able to run c2 match this year.

Can you teach how to defend stack with man or zone coverage? Also I keep losing to people that think they know how to play the game. I feel like they abuse the game and A.I.

Hey brother ! Love your vids man .. I just have 1 request or maybe 2 lol. Could you make a video on defensive adjustments for example “Shade over the top to play seam routes or do this to stop corner routes or do this to stop post routes” also a POST snap defensive read as players love to base align now so pre snap isn’t really that effective anymore of your playing someone half decent this year, Thanks Bruv!

Question my opponent comes out in a empty Trey stack I play 2-3-6 cover 1 robber show 2 my linebacker lines up as a outside corner…. Why did that happen, also auto flip is off?

Was hesitant to do this but I’ve been implementing a lot more 2 under 3 deep hot pressures on 1st and second downs. Shading underneath and playing a pure spot drop zone with 6 guys coming can be a great change up if you play a lot of match coverages

Is it possible for you to make a video if you haven’t already about cover 4 palms/quarters match principles against a trips formation? I ran cover 4 palms against a trips te player and my quarter flat kept matching to the number 2 on a vertical route late and was a one play touchdown. He was simply calling verticals and the same side safety would take the #3 instead of the #2. Is that codes correctly or is it just a bug?

29:12 you could man up the blitzing corner to the back and the weak side soft squat to the weak side receiver and leave the deep half.

Have you checked if Bingo still works?

I usually use drive concepts and curl flat concepts against cover 4. Wr screens and some rpos fry cover 4 as well.

You bring up some good points in your video. In my opinion the focus for the devs should be continue making improvements and getting the core coverages functioning properly and then start looking at adding additional coverage checks for the toolbox. Curious, how would you go about implementing the different checks? Coaching adjustments? Preplay menu? Attach it to the play? Once you get that figured out how do you teach it to the Madden community in a way thats understandable?

Hopefully 1 day EA will allow us to create different coverages in the playbook creator instead of hot routing on the field. We can name them and put them in a specific category to keep them separated from the regular plays.

Interstate is particularly interesting to me because it is a hard counter to stack formations with a 3rd receiver to the side for a trips look

23:35 that should still come in Vs half slide protection. Maybe still vs full slide too. Blitzing from the 3 tech side is big on big meaning you can use slants or stunts to get home. This is referring to 3 man slide towards the NT, and blocking the back (the most common thing someone will try to do Vs this. )

The poor coding of Quarters, regarding stealing the backside safety to have 5vs3, explains why the 3Rec doesn’t play as aggressive when attaching to the final #3, which is vastly different than the 3Rec play in a Cover 3 Blitz.

Using the information you have shared has made me go back into Bunch. I understand the reads much better now and what I should be looking for to attack/be open.

Also,if you run cover 6/9 I’m not sure which one has the backside corner in a soft squat. If the opponent just runs stock verticals from any bunch formation, it also leaves the point man who does a deep crosser wide open. It gets even more wide open if they put the Rb on a flat route. Theres a lot of easy ways to beat match in this game which I don’t like. They would rather you just do a loop blitz and get instant pressure from 4 man rush instead of actually playing good defense

I see you always going over passing concepts, would love a series or a few videos about running the ball concepts. Like inside zone vs outside zone, power etc, what is strong vs which fronts etc.thanks for all the hard work and the education.

I resigned back up for the membership. So glad your back, you have me looking at football in a completely diffrent way. From playing madden and CFB25 , to watching games from my couch. Most importantly in how me and my kids practice and talk about ball in the back yard. None of your content is about "these adjustments will make you blah blah" . Its thinking the game and i appreciate it greatly

@XandoFootball just wondering if you will be doing a How to read defense video for Madden 25? I know you have in the past ones and pretty much everything remains the same etc etc but because maybe the "Coding" changed and with the new coverage she'll feature that's why I'm asking????? Thanks

Question...is the ability of a player running an option route dictated by coverage based on their awareness? Play recognition? Or is it based on the coding of the game?
