This appears to be a game changer from a technical and budget perspective for those communities that require the capabilities that this drone offers. Unfortunately, with the grandstanding by certain politicians, in many locales, this drone will be placed in the same category as DJI, and therefore unavailable for purchase. I own an aerial videography and photography business and this drone does not fit my business model. But having said that, with first responders that are based in areas that do not have restrictive drone regulations based on country of manufacture, the Autel Evo Max has the the right features for a competitive cost. This first flight video from OriginaldoBo should be viewed by any respective agency searching for a full featured Enterprise workhorse.
Very nice video Ken. All well explanatory. It's nice to see Autel pushing ahead with their products. Hopefully they push new consumer ones sometimes this year. Saving up for that. Well done
I like what Autel has done with their enterprise drone. Curious to see some night flights with it, seems like that would be the deciding factor for law enforcement. Great review, thanks for sharing!
Thank you for the demonstration. I appreciate the time you spend in production and your knowledge and skill in making it all meaningful. Cheers from Wisconsin, Ken.
Supposedly they’re supposed to update it for a tracking but yeah at 160 times zoom I don’t see it moving which is definitely a good thing. I agree with you. Love y’all’s content btw
It's good to see that DJI is finally getting some competition from Autel. Do you think the Max 4T camera color science can improve with a firmware update?
Great drone. I’m shying away from Autel though. I have the Evo 2 640T V2 with smart controller. It feels like I barely got my batteries charged before the V3 was announced. So I have a drone that Autel has forgotten. No Live Deck and a controller that only works with obsolete V2 drones. So while the Max looks great, I’ll have to see some changes at Autel before I come back as a customer.
I'm curious about the AI tracking animals? I wonder if it can. I think it's impressive. I also like the idea of turning the brightness up and down instead of messing with the ISO. It's definitely very impressive. It's just a bummer that not all of Autel drones are not compatible with the Smart Controllers? I think it would of been way better if they did. I would have definitely got me an Autel drone if that was the case. Thanks for sharing Ken. See you in the next video.👍👍👍
The default distance you see, is calculated from your point in straight line (gps), when you use the laser, and point down, diagonal, ofc there is a different distance. I think you understand what I mean :)
Could you also get your hands on the 4N and do a review on that as well??? From a first responder perspective, that night camera might also be helpful...thanks in advance!
Can you toggle between metric and imperial? For measurements? And I'm not really noticing any major noise on the microphone, but I don't have my hearing aids in, so perhaps you're hearing stuff that I can't hear through the phone. Thanks for a great review. Wish I could afford one, or justify the use of one.
With the AI, it picked up your stationary vehicle every time - would you mind running a test to see if it can detect stationary humans just as well (like it did on the pillar)? Especially when they're very small on the screen (aircraft at 150-200ft AGL, camera Nadir or at 45°) and while the drone is in motion? This will be incredible for SAR if it works reliably. Thanks.
I've been looking forward to this review. Thanks for all the information Ken it's definitely something to be considered. I assume if you wanted to get into the world of construction progression or roof inspection once they add waypoints and missions this would be an excellent choice
Hey Ken. Questions, here…. I’m a Battalion Chief at the FD, and I also have a drone side business. I’ve been looking forward to the release of this drone for a while now, as a possible “one drone fits all” for both of my jobs. Do you think this one could be used for several applications like that? ( Search/Rescue, mapping, Real estate shoots, inspections, etc.) ? I know it’s not a cinematic use drone, but from what you can tell, would it be good enough for that type of stuff with the 48mp and 50mp cameras? (The thermal is a given of course). Really would appreciate your insight. Thanks.
I wanted one, but will wait until the max 4N is released and probably when the Alpha and Titan are released, just so I know I didn't make the mistake of buying early. I have the 640T-E and the only thing I wish it had (that the max has) is the 3 mmW radar obstacle avoidance feature. Would love to see more about that as it might not be as nice as I hope it would be.
As usual always look forward to your content,, i just received my Max 4t yesterday evening. Just now got to do a quick test flight, it's a beast, love it ! its quick question, have you tried to link up live deck2 to the Max 4t ? if so could you do a segment ? Also if you have if on wide cam/IR ,zoom wide cam to 2.4+ and tap link icon or chain and it will synchronize IR and Wide cam ..sweetens the deal. love how you keep it real. THANK YOU SIR , QUAD AIR LLC. KY.
The AI is wicked cool! It looks like Autel has put together an all round good drone. Do you think it’s worth that price point? I hope you get to fly the golf cart storage/repair place with a drone and get us a little video action and again thank you Ken.
Are the cameras interchangeable between the EVO2 or not? I figured the program would be different as this doesn't look anywhere like the EVO 2 program.
@originaldobo Is this the Next drone when DJI is BANNED in the USA? (Inspections currently with multiple DJI drones.) "Should i pull the trigger \on a DJI mavic 3 PRO or wait on the final DJI Life decision by the Powers to be? Thanks in advance #86DRONE
Hey Ken we are getting ready to buy a drone for the fire department. How is the weather resistance of that particular drone? Can I fly in the rain or is it some thing that’s pretty sensitive?
I'd like to see Autel use this technology in some of their future prosumer level drones (if they make them). I could see this drone in the bags of many first responders. Looking at the angle of the props, it looked like Autel did what all Chinese companies do, they copied DJI's platform, tweaked it a bit, and called it their own. In the open source world, this is how software and products are constantly improved.
Man it really looks like Autel hit a home run with this!! Can't wait to see you testing not just all the features but the versions of this machine!! I think we are all looking at Autels new flagship aircraft!
Bro... you got a golf course bando right next to your regular stomping ground.. and you haven't RIPPED IT??! Or even knew it existed??... why you wanna hurt me dobo😢😢😢
@@OriginaldoBo A good test would be to come over and video a night time SpaceX launch and see how good it is at night. Or even a day time launch with the zoom.
Watched a lot of videos on this drone. No one is testing/showing the terrain follow function. So I ask if you can do a video or reply to me if the terrain follow function actually works. The law of only getting 400ft above ground level(where I launch from) makes it hard to use in mountain country, looking for livestock. I run into the mountain before I get to the area I need to search in. The mountains around me rise rapidly.
@@OriginaldoBo I was hoping you got out of florida a little bit,,, I do know how flat florida is i've been there. Thanks for your response back if you hear anything please let me know.
Mam I'm along time customer of autel but I'm though with those assholes today.I bought a evo lite last month and flew it twice bought it down and it had a crack right above the right arm like the first version evo2 s did. I did damage it in any way. I only treated like a baby. Sent it into autel and they charged me 112 dollars lol. Then sent me a email, and said it cosmetic damage caused by normal wear and tear ,the dam drone has only flown twice, and only a month old. This shit is out of control.. The he'll with autel.

And MAYBE all the features will be delivered in a year or so. hasen't happened with the EVO II v3 Enterprise YET!

Great review, Ken. Looks like a great drone!
I like learning about other drones helps me put things in perspective when using my drones.
Did you notice that the MSL height changed in more than 1m when you are hoovering (1:11-1:46)?
Great review. Was hoping to see more Max 4T info. A.I. recognition is next level. Thanks for the insight!

I assume the drone won’t move when it tracks. Will use the 160x zoom only but wont move, similar to the M30. So wont be dangerous.

@@OriginaldoBo Man, that’s a huge compliment. The feeling is definitely mutual.

They aren’t concerned with the color science it’s not a drone meant for filming or photographing this is very mission based

Rangefinder distance is different because it’s straight line from altitude and the distance reading on the controller is just the horizontal distance
Now autel also can make very nice ent drones.
