AWESOME when police officers show compassion like that, it's heartbreaking when poor animals get caught in the middle of their people's bad life choices. No different than small children.
Agreed, except for the pets are like small children part. You might love a pet a lot but its nowhere near the feeling or the love of a child!! And a child going getting dragged into a person mess is miles more traumatic and detrimental to the childs mind far more than it would be to a dog!!!!

I can understand how you feel. We have considerable corruption here in law enforcement, but not so much that we have to completely mistrust the police altogether. It must be very anxious, living in a place where the people supposed to protect you are themselves predators.

When you are arrested and detained officers have a reasonable expectation of providing safety. Hence why they always offer an ambulance. There was a case where a dealer ate a bunch of drugs to hide them. The dealer cried and cried that he needed an ambulance that he had consumed a crap ton. The officers all assumed he was crying wolf. Guy ended up dying from an overdose, officers lost their jobs. City was sued a crap ton.
The guy driving the stolen car with his girlfriend and the puppy was such a terrible actor! Lol He was trying so hard to cry and look pitiful but he couldn’t squeeze out one single tear!
Around 42:20 that officer was so hyper he couldn't stop backseat driving, you could tell his partner (the driver) was getting annoyed. He sure popped out of that car fast and jumped on the perp.

If addicts were "completely helpless" nobody would ever get clean. I say this a clean for 12 years addict. At some point you have to choose life and self respect. And it's a conscious choice.
