Lots of progress...changeover for hay is fairly involved, but for the acres you have to do...time well spent. Nice view of the Fall Foliage during your move to the last field of silage corn. Quite a crew of "tire pitchers" LOL

Farming is expensive. To be fair, that chopper costs a fortune to buy,run and maintain. But look at the work it does and tonnage of feed it has chopped. Credit due to Andy Hourighan, he knows it, runs it, maintains and repairs it.
Well done on another fine video!

Hope to hear back from you Phil

Couple of questions about the Bunker Silos. 1. Instead if having to use the plastic and tires to cover the silage in the Bunker silos; have you checked out the bunker silos that have roofs installed on them ? Some are fixed to the bunker silo. One company makes removable roofs that look a lot like half round green house roofs. Seems like it would save a lot of time and work, if something like that could be installed on the Bunker Silos. 2. Do you know what the % spoilage is in a Bunker Silo, compared to the upright silos ?

I'm wondering if anyone does anything about the grit and gravel that gets tracked up on the silage pile frrom vehicles running back and forth from roadways? Seems like nobody is the least bit OCD about it. Cows with cracked or broken teeth wouldn't be very productive.'
Would steel cleated dozers find a place as packers? They pack dirt pretty good! The vibration. Asphalt rollers have vibrators built into them for better packing. Just always curious.
