Then there's the study of twins adopted into very differently run homes - one is mostly functional and successful, and the other is mostly dysfunctional and struggling. That to me [if we're talking generational curses] is more about subliminally learned behaviors and beliefs that are running our lives into adulthood that come to us early in life from our caretakers - which came from their caretakers early in life - etc. So, is something like this being lumped in with 'generational curses'?
I think the clearest verse in the Bible that shows we're not under God's curse, at any time, is Galatians 3:13 ---> "Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree:" As we're all sinners, we should be under God's curse, and His wrath, but the gospel teaches that Christ was made that curse for us. 2 Corinthians 5:19 and 21 also tell us this truth; God is not imputing anyone's sins to them, as Christ was made sin for us. "To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. .....For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."
Thy Word Is Truth I've heard this many times in my own journey but I always end up asking myself why there are negative family traits (anger, sickness, etc..) passed on. Something has to be right on both sides. It's also to my understanding that the enemy has the legal right to accuse (the courts in heaven) and afflict those who don't go through repentance of their sin/iniquity . That is to say, that if the person doesn't actually "turn" from the sin they or their ancestor has committed, then the blood of Jesus CANT cover it (thus rendering the accusation null and void). Likewise, each time (if and when) the sin is committed again, we are supposed to humble ourselves, admit our wrong doing and again be covered and sheltered by His blood. This is all my understanding of what I've learned up to this teaching above. I have never heard it presented this way before at all.
We have been "blessed with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ" (Eph. 1:3). We cannot be blessed and cursed at the same time. Let's stick to the Bible. The Courts of Heaven by Henderson is not biblical.

My question is could you elaborate on or do you already have a teaching on "those who hate me" juxtaposed with those who still may be suffering but are loving (doing what they know to do - obey and submit to the Word) God with all their heart, soul, mind and strength?
My family suffer from a genetic generational curse where i have an extra gene. This presents that we become crippled in our 40s to various degrees. Some escape this curse altogether and you have a 50 % chance of inheriting it. It effects men worse. That in Itself is hard to deal with. So on top of this little curse we have all the usual others. Which of my forefathers caused this I've yet to discover but through genealogy research I have my suspicions. No matter really as theyve had their time and they've gone on. Now its my time and try as I might I'm no better. My children hate me.

God does not kill, steal, or destroy, the enemy and unregenerate people do though.
