It's been quite a while since I've come across a quality review that didn't put me to sleep. Thank you for taking the time to shoot this video! Great job. I think I'll try the Walakut or Siser.
2 years later but just got my Silhouette Cameo 2 weeks ago and have been researching like crazy the different types of vinyl!! Been using the Siser HTV so far since I found a good deal at Michaels. Thanks for the video 💗
We buy cricut when is in special but we keep it for ourselves, for our clients we always do Siser and never had problems. I like the way it works just well, there's an app if you want to show to your clients and they have so many colors and styles for different materials. We also mix DTF with siser (easy weed) because they have the same temperature and time and DTF is great for fine details. For those who don't know DTF stands for Direct To Film Now I have to try Walakut, 5 secs is awesome! Great video!
Thank you thank you THANK YOU for this! I have an event this weekend and I have to make an emergency table covering! I desperately needed to know which is best 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
Thanks for the reviews. I wish I saw this video before I used cricut, I did a shirt with white vinyl and some the design ended up lifting ruining the shirt and couldn’t sell it, even though I followed their instructions. Siser really is the best.
did you know you can remove htv once it's on ?! you just put an iron inside the shirt so it heats up the vinyl and then you peel it with scissors. i was mind blown when it actually worked 🤯🤯 but yes Siser all the way !
Thank you so much for this video! I am new to Cricut and I was looking to see which HTV to get for shirts. This helped so much! Now, I know which one I'm going to buy first.
Thank you for such a helpfull review! I love the fact that you put in in the washing machine! I just got into heat press vinyl and this was a lifesaver 🥰
Awesome review! Thank you so much for taking the time with all the steps and even washing the shirt 👚 I haven’t seen anyone doing that before, and for me is after the washing that I have problems with peeling 😓.
Wwwwoooooow you made a lot of effort to experiment. I really appreciate you being so patience and very informative! A huge round of applause for you. Youre definitely a pro
@@lyfewitjada496 Siser claims that you can dry on a normal setting, but i personally think it's always best to air dry since the dryer may lift the htv.
Thank you for this! I’m new to the htv craft so this helps. Do you have a machine you prefer to use? I have been using my regular iron and they’re coming out terrible!
i would not recommend using an iron. i tried it once to test it out against a Cricut Easypress and it did not go well 🙃 the Easypress is definitely a great beginner press. it's small enough to be stored away and is very easy to use. also, if you have the space and money for it, i would say go for a big heat press if you can. i have the 15x15 Drawer Clamshell Heat Press from Heat Transfer Warehouse and i LOVE it! it makes it soooo much easier 😌
Hi Lucy, great video, thanks. May I know how the thsirt is doing since february 2021 ? Did you wash it lke 20 times? All products still perfetly attached as they should or...? Thank you!
hi 😊 i don't have a full blown tshirt biz so when someone orders a shirt from me i just buy it as i go and make it. i don't buy a bunch at a time or anything like that.
Hi Lucy, thank you so much for this comparison! I probably would have thrown out that Revolution vinyl before the end. Lol. It reminds me of when I tried to work with Dollar Tree glitter vinyl, lol. Have you or anyone here tried the Oracal brand? Off topic, where is your white dresser behind you from?
i haven't used it since. i still have it sitting there cuz i feel bad throwing it away lol. Oracal is my favorite permanent vinyl brand! it's super easy to work with 😁😉 and the white dresser is from a furniture store that doesn't exist anymore BUT the name of the bedroom set it "New Classic Tamarack" 😊
What do you recommend for wedding out small letters or shapes, I’m having problems weeding sister easyweed it’s sticks with the carrier, I don’t know what’s wrong.
great video suggestion 😁 in the meantime, here's a run down on how to do it. find a font that has both blocked font and the outline version of the font. then on Design Space just type out each word with the corresponding font 😉 hope this helps !
Great video. It would have really helped to wash the shirt more aggressively and dry in the dryer to see how the vinyl holds up to abuse aka how customers treat their clothes.
your letters have to be hollow in your design program so the cutter knows that it's meant to be hollow. if they are solid, the cutter is going to cut it as a solid.

I am laughing at the Cricut statement! I am new to making my own HTV, and new to Cricut. Thanks for the tutorial.
haha thanks for watching 😃
@@lucykiins you're welcome.
How do I get my cutter to cut like the Hallow lettering you got there…. My result keeps coming like the solid one
your letters have to be hollow in your design program so the cutter knows that it's meant to be hollow. if they are solid, the cutter is going to cut it as a solid.
You could also try offsetting it, then deleting the original design leaving behind the offset outline.
Can you use a regular iron instead? Or does it has to be a cricut heat iron?
it's not recommended but you can, but just make sure you use A LOT of pressure. also make sure there is no steam at all!
